How to assemble the ECG VP 3101 S vacuum cleaner?

Before assembly, make sure the appliance is turned off and unplugged. Insert the end of the flexible hose into the front opening until it locks. Connect the other end to the telescopic tube, then add the desired accessory (brush, nozzle...).

How to replace the dust bag?

When the fill indicator turns red, open the front cover by pressing the lock. Remove the holder with the full bag, discard it and insert a new bag of type KOMA ECG VP 3101 S.

How to clean the filters?

For the exhaust filter: fold down and remove the cover, wash the filter in hot water and dry it. For the motor filter (once a year): open the front cover, remove the filter, wash in hot water and dry. Replace if damaged.

What to do if suction power decreases?

First check if the dust bag is full. Replace it if necessary. If the problem persists, inspect the flexible hose and tube for any blockages. Clean or replace the filters.

How to use the cable rewinder?

After use, unplug the cord from the outlet, then press the rewinding button located on the appliance. The cable rewinds automatically. Never pull on the cable.

Can the vacuum cleaner pick up liquids?

No, the vacuum cleaner is designed only for dry use. Never vacuum water or liquids, as this could damage the appliance and cause electrocution.

What to do if the bag full indicator remains red after changing the bag?

Turn off and unplug the vacuum cleaner. Check if the flexible hose or tube is blocked. If the problem persists, contact an authorized service.

6. Do not leave the plugged in vacuum cleaner unattended. Disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet prior to performing maintenance. When unplugging the appliance, hold the power cord by the plug. Do not pull the cable.
7. Do not use the vacuum cleaner outdoors or in a damp environment. Risk of electric shock.
8. Do not allow children to play with the vacuum cleaner. A vacuum cleaner is not a toy. Be more attentive if you are using the vacuum cleaner near children.
9. Use only attachments and accessories approved by the manufacturer.
10. If the vacuum cleaner does not work properly, if it fell (e.g. into water), if it is damaged or if it was forgotten outdoors, have it inspected professionally at an authorized service centre.
11. Do not hold the vacuum cleaner by the power cord when moving it. Make sure that the power cord is not broken or bent over sharp objects and edges. When working with the vacuum cleaner, do not drive over the power cord. Keep the power cord away from heat sources.
12. Do not touch the power cord or the vacuum cleaner with wet hands.
13. Do not insert any objects into the vacuum cleaner openings. Do not use the vacuum cleaner if the openings are blocked in any way. Make sure that the vacuum cleaner is clean, without dirt and any debris, which can reduce the suction power of the vacuum cleaner.
14. Keep hair, loose clothing, hands and other parts of the body away from openings or moving parts of the vacuum cleaner.
15. Do not use the vacuum cleaner on the following objects, which could result in damaging the device or injury:
16. sharp objects like glass, screws, coins, nails, etc.
17. hot or smouldering objects like embers, cigarettes or fl ammable and volatile liquids

18. wet surfaces, water and other liquids.

19. Use extra care when cleaning stairs.

20. Use the vacuum cleaner only in accordance with the instructions in this manual. This vacuum cleaner is designed for home use only. The manufacturer is not liable for damages caused by the improper use of this appliance.

21. This appliance can be used by children ages 8 and older and by the physically and mentally impaired or by individuals with insufficient experience and knowledge, if supervised or trained to use the appliance in a safe manner and understand potential dangers. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance operations performed by the user shall not be carried out by children, if they are not older

than 8 years and under supervision. Children under the age of 8 shall keep away from the appliance and its power supply.

USING THE VACUUM CLEANER

The vacuum cleaner must be switched off and unplugged prior to assembly!

1. Insert the end of the hose in the opening in front of the vacuum cleaner and secure it (Fig. 1). If you want to remove the hose, press the release buttons on both sides of the hose connection and remove the hose from the vacuum cleaner. (Fig. 2).

2. Connect the other end of the hose with curved ending to the tube (Fig. 3).

3. Connect to the tube accessories suitable for a given type of flooring: brush nozzle for carpets or hard floors (switch according to floor type) (Fig. 4), combined tapered nozzle and dust brush for sofas, curtains and hard to reach places in the corners or between the furniture (Fig. 5).

4. Starting the vacuum cleaner: plug the power cord in the electrical outlet whose parameters correspond to those in the type label of the appliance and press the power button to start the vacuum cleaner (Fig. 6).

5. Retracting the power cord: Grasp the plug and pull out the power cord. Press the retractor button, the power cord rewinds back into the vacuum cleaner (Fig. 7.).

Issues

Do not use an appliance showing any signs of damage. Damaged power cords must be replaced by a qualified authorized service centre. Only this way can you prevent safety risks.

See the troubleshooting guide if your vacuum cleaner does not operate correctly. Refer to an authorized service centre if you are not able to resolve an issue yourself.

After use

Turn off the vacuum cleaner and unplug the power cord from the outlet. Before you add any accessories or before cleaning the appliance, always turn the vacuum cleaner off and unplug it from the outlet.

Full dust bag indicator

The vacuum cleaner is equipped with an indicator ②, which changes to red colour, if the dust bag is full or if the suction hoses are clogged. If the full dust bag indicator is red even after inserting a new bag, switch off the vacuum cleaner, unplug the power cord and check the hose or tube for jammed objects. If the indicator remains red, refer to an authorized service centre or your dealer. To prevent overheating and possible damage to the vacuum cleaner, check the following:

• All the connections between hose, telescopic tube and the floor brush
• Opening for connecting the hose

• Brush throughput

• Exhaust fi Iter

• Motor filter
• Dust bag

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Attention:

Always unplug the power cord from the outlet before any maintenance and cleaning.

1. Changing the dust bag: When the colour of the dust bag indicator ② changes to red, it is time to change or empty the dust bag.

2. Press the lock in front to open the front cover (Fig. 8).

3. Remove the holder with the bag and remove the full bag from the holder (Fig. 9).

4. Cleaning of the exhaust filter: Open and remove the exhaust filter cover. Wash the filter with warm water and dry thoroughly before using it again. If the filter is damaged, replace it (Fig. 10).

5. Clean the motor filter once a year: Open the front cover, remove the filter, wash it with warm water and dry thoroughly before using it again. If the filter is damaged, replace it (Fig. 11).

6. Cleaning of the appliance surface: Use soft and slightly moistened cloth with a few drops of the cleaning solution to clean. Never use solvents or other abrasive cleaners. Never immerse the vacuum cleaner into water or any other liquid and do not leave it under running water.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Before referring to a service centre, check the following list of common problems and how to remove them.

KORIŠĆENJE USISIVAČA

Pre sastavljanja, usisivač mora biti isključen i odvojen od izvora električne struje!

1. Kraj creva umetnite u otvor u prednjem delu usisivača i učvrstite (slika 1). Ako želite da skinete crevo, pritisnite osigurače na obe strane grla creva i izvucite ga iz usisivača (slika 2).
2. Drugi kraj creva spojite sa zaobljenim krajem cevi (slika 3).
3. Na cev spojite onaj nastavak koji je prikladan za vrstu poda koju treba da čistite: nastavak sa četkom za cilime ili tvrde podove (može se prilagoditi tipu poda) (slika 4), kombinovani uski nastavak i četku za prašinu za naslonjače, fotelje i za teško dostupna mesta između nameštaja (slika 5).
4. Pokretanje usisivača: Priključite kabl za napajanje u utičnicu onih karakteristika koje odgovaraju onima koje su navedene na nazivnoj pločici na usisivaču i pritisnite taster za uključivanje da biste ga pokrenuli (slika 6).
5. Namotavanje kabla: Uhvatite utikač i izvucite ga iz utičnice. Pritisnite taster za uvlačenje i kabl će se namotati u usisivaču (slika 7).
