IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance and keep it for future reference.
- Check the voltage where you use the device is the same as specified on the appliance. For details on the label on the base plate.
- Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
- Avoid contact with steam coming out of the spout area when pouring and out of the lid when refilling.
- Keep children away from the kettle and never let the cord hang down over the worktop edge – a child could grab it and pull the kettle down.
- Never overfill – boiling water may splash out.
- Never put the kettle, cord or plug in liquid.
- This appliance is intended for use in household only.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are aged
from 8 years and above and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years. Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
CAUTION
- Do not operate the kettle on an inclined surface.
- Make sure the lid is secure before switching the kettle on.
WARNING: HOT SURFACE
- Avoid touching the surface of the unit with your bare hands when in use. Always handle the unit by the insulated carrying handle to protect yourself from injury.

- Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
- Make sure the kettle is switched off before lifting or pouring.
- Unplug the kettle before filling or pouring.
- Never put the kettle near or on cooker hot plates or gas burners.
- This kettle is for boiling water only.
- Failure to observe these cautions may result in damage to the kettle.

- Travel kit: 2 cups, one cream and sugar container and a spoon.

BEFORE FIRST USE
Remove all packaging and any labels. Fill to "MAX", boil, then pour the water away.
OPERATION
- Select the required voltage by turning the selector control underneath the water kettle. Always check that you have selected the correct voltage before using the kettle.
- Raise the lid and fill the tank with fresh water. The water level must not exceed "MAX" mark in the kettle.
- Close the lid by pressing it down until you hear a click. Make sure it closes correctly.
- Plug in and switch on. The light on the handle will come on, indicating that the appliance is working.
- Your kettle will boil and switch off automatically. To re-boil the push button needs time to reset. It can take up to 1 minute.
• Always unplug the kettle after use.
Warning: This travel kettle can't be switched off by pressing the switch, just automatically when cooking. Therefore, it may be that the unit will automatically start when you insert the plug. Allow boiling and turn off automatically. At next cooking cycle you can press the button to start your kettle.
BOIL-DRY PROTECTION
This travel kettle is protected with a safety device that switches off the appliance automatically when it is accidentally switched on without water. In this case, unplug the appliance and wait about 10 minutes for the element to cool. Then fill the kettle with cold water.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Before attempting any cleaning operation, make sure the appliance is unplugged from the supply socket and fully cooled down.
- To clean the plastic parts, simply wipe over with a soft cloth. To remove scale from the inner walls of the kettle and from the filter you can use a soft brush.
- Never use abrasive products.
- Before storing your appliance, pull out both cable management and wind the cord around your appliance.
