This appliance is not intended for medical use in hospitals.

• Please read this manual carefully and follow the instructions.

• Use the device only as an electric mattress heater.

• Only connect to the voltage shown on the ratinglabel.

• The electric under blanket should not be used when folded or crumpled.
• Do not treat the electric under blanket as a sheet or tuck it in under the mattress.
• Do not use the blanket for persons who cannot move without help, small children, persons who cannot feel heat, or animals. Persons who can feel heat to some extent may only use the blanket with supervision.
• Do not prick it with needles or other sharp objects.
• Do not tug ortwist the power lead.
• Do not expose the switch or power lead to moisture or liquids.
• If the fuse link or thermal link has ruptured, the appliance shall be returned to the distributor or its service agent for repairing. Do not use the blanket any more.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it should be replaced by the distribution or its service agent or similar qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. Do not use the blanket any more.
• Avoid creasing the appliance.
• Examine the appliance frequently for signs of wear or damage. If there are such signs or if the appliance has been misused, return it to the supplier prior to any future use.
• Do not use the electric under blanket when it is damp or wet.
  The device may not be switched on using a time switch.

• Avoid folding the blanket tightly.
  While the blanket is switched on:

• Do not place any large or heavy objects on it such as suitcases, etc.

• Do not place any source of heat on it such as hot water bottles or heating pads.

• Do not allow the switch to be concealed under blankets, pillows or the like and lie on the electric under blanket. Do not fold the blanket when it is still warm.

• Please check the blanket and power lead frequently to look for signs of wear or damage. If you find evidence of wear or a defect, or the blanket has been used incorrectly, return it to the store where you bought it for checking and any necessary repairs.

• If you don't use the blanket daily, then please remove the plug from the socket and take the blanket off your bed. Keep it dry until it is taken out for use again - the original packaging is an ideal means to store it.
  The setting 1 of the control unit is for continuous use*.
• Do not use on an adjustable bed or if used on an adjustable bed, check carefully that the blanket or cord cannot become trapped or rucked.
  Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• This blanket is not to be used by young children over the age of three unless the controls have been preset by a parent or guardian or the child has been instructed and how to operate safely.
  Children below the age of 3 years are not allowed to use this device, because they are not able to react on overheating.

• When not in use, store as follows:

• When storing the appliance, allow it to cool down before folding.

• Do not crease the appliance by placing items on top of it during storage.

SWITCHING ON

Don't turn on the switch until you make sure the under blanket is well-installed as following steps.

The models KTS 110 and KTS 120 have two densities of points for the blanket. The part with more concentrated points is especially for your feet. Here the warmth is more intense. Do not have the head part or the pillow placed on the under blanket.

Insert the controllerplug into the detachable connector on the warming blanket.

Spread the blanket out flat on the mattress and take care not to allow any folds or ruckles to develop where mattress sections abut. Each time when the blanket is used please check that it is spread absolutely flat on the mattress. Then place a blanket or duvetom top of the electric under blanket and covering sheet to prevent loss of heat.

To ensure the under blanket is placed correctly, make sure the detachable connector is near by the user's shoulder at the upper side of the bed and the user's feet are on the footheating area at the bottom side of the bed.

Plugin the flat plug of the blanket into the socket for operating. The blanket may only be used with 230 Volts a.c.

Switch on the blanket using the hand-operated switch.

The blanket warm-up time is approx. 15 minutes.

3 = maximum warmth
2 = moderate warmth
1 = minimum warmth (setting 1 is recommended for continuous use.)*
0 = appliance off, the blanket is; disconnected from the power supply.

*Note: the blanket's KTS 110 and KTS 120 will switch off after 3 hours at all times. The under blankets KTS 110 and KTS 120 have an additional heat for the foot zone - see above.

TIMER FUNCTION

Nowyoucanexperiencethepleasantwarmth. Afterabout180minutestheunder blanketKTS110andKTS120silentlyswitchesoffautomatically.Inordertoputthe blanketintooperationagainyoushouldfirstsettheswitchtothe'0'position.After about5secondsyoucanswitchontheheatingunderblanketagaininanydesired temperaturesetting.ThereferencesKTS101andKTS102will operateallnightlong untilyouswitchoffyourself.

CAUTION: You should not rely on using your handstogaugethe blanket temperature because they are less sensitive to heat than the surface of the human body. A temperature, which may feel tepid to your hand, may feel unpleasantly hot on your body.

ADDITIONALNOTE:

The electronic components inside the switch may lead to slight warming of the switch when the blanket is on. Therefore, the switch should not be replaced on top of the electric under blanket when it is in operation.

The blanket should be recovered for example, by aduvet, because otherwise will be high loss of heat and the blanket cannot warm up properly.

Qualifiedpersons using original replacement parts may only undertake repairs to the electric under blanket. Repairs carried out by unqualified persons may cause substantial risk to the user.

Pleasecleanthesurfacewithaneutraldetergentwhenitisdirtyandwipeidrywith asoftcloth.Donotcleanitwithanindustrialsolventlikebenzeneorkerosene.
