á«Hô©dGá«Hô©dGENGLISH6 Important ◗ Do not use the appliance if the plug, the cord or the appliance itself is damaged. ◗ Before you connect the appliance, check whether the mains voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds with the mains voltage in your home. Preparing the appliance for use 1 Clean the jug and filterholder (see section 'Cleaning'). 2 Place the appliance on a stable surface. Do not put the appliance on a hot surface Keep the appliance out of the reach of children and make sure that they are unable to pull at the cord. 3 Put the plug in an earthed wall socket.

◗ You can store excess cord at the back of the appliance. Prevent the cord from coming into contact with hot surfaces.

5 Fill the watertank to the MAX-indication with cold, fresh water and put the jug in place. Do not put a filter and coffee in the basket.

6 Switch the appliance on by pressing the button.

The pilot light goes on. Let the appliance run until the watertank is completely empty. 7 After all water is in the jug: switch off the appliance. Let the appliance cool down for at least 3 minutes before you start brewing coffee. HD7460Brewing coffee 1 Open the lid.

2 Fill the watertank with the desired amount of cold, fresh water. The water level in the water tank can be read from the winddow; the markings correspond to large cups (125 ml; MAX = 5 cups). Ensure that the water level does not get higher than the maximum marking (MAX). 3 Close the lid. 4 Place the jug.

5 Open the filter holder. 6 Put a paper filter (type 1x2) in the filter holder. Do not forget to fold the sealed edges of the filter. With some models a permanent filter is supplied. In this case paper filters are not required.

7 Put pre-ground coffee (filter-fine grind) in the filter. 8 Close the lid. 9 Switch the appliance on by pressing the button.

The pilot light will go on. 10 Switch the appliance off after use. Let the appliance cool down for at least 3 minutes before you start brewing coffee again. Cleaning 1 Unplug the appliance. 2 Clean the outside of the appliance with a moist cloth. Never immerse the appliance in water.
