Remove the battery compartment cover.

Insert 6 batteries (type C / R14, 1.5 V---, not included) in the battery compartment. Match the polarities + and -, as indicated on the batteries.

Close the battery compartment cover.

SETTING THE CLOCK

Note: The clock will be set automatically in DAB+ Mode!

6 Press ⏻ button to turn off the product.
7 Activate clock setting mode: Press and hold ▶ /ENT.CLOCK for 2 seconds. 24H starts blinking on the display.

Press ▶ on to choose between 12-hour/24-hour format. Press to confirm. The hour indicator starts blinking.

8 1. Press ▶▶ or ◀ set the hour. Press to dbnfirm. The minute indicator starts blinking.

  1. Press or to set the minute. Press to confirm. The year indicator starts blinking.
  2. Press the or to set the year. Press to confirm. The month indicator starts blinking.
  3. Press the or to set the month. Press to confirm. The day indicator starts blinking.
  4. Press the or to set the day. Press to confirm. The date and clock are set.

Note: If the product is disconnected from power, the clock setting needs to be reset.

SETTING ALARM

Press ⏻ to turn off the product.

Activate alarm setting mode (VOL-/AL1 for alarm 1 and VOL+/AL2 for alarm 2):

Press and hold VOL-/AL1 for 3 seconds.

The hour indicator starts blinking on the display.

  1. Press▶▶I or I◀◀ to set the hour. Press VOL-/AL1 to confirm. The minute indicator starts blinking.
  2. Press▶▶I or ◀◀ to set the minutes. Press VOL-/AL1 to confirm. The alarm mode starts blinking.
  3. Press ▶▶I or ◀◀ to choose one of the mode: USB > Buzz > FM > DAB > CD. Press VOL-/AL1 to confirm.
  4. Set the volume for the alarm by pressing or and confirm with VOL-/AL1.

Once you completed the alarm setting an alarm symbol will appear on the display.

Deactivate the alarm

Press VOL-/AL1 or VOL+/AL2 shortly to choose "Alarm off" and confirm with VOL-/AL1 or VOL+/AL2.

OPERATION

Switching on and off

Press the ⏻ button to turn on the product. To turn off the product, press and hold the ⏻ button for approx. 2 seconds.

Mode selection

Press the button shortly to switch between the modes: FM > DAB > CD > USB > Aux

Volume control

The volume can be easily controlled by pressing the buttons VOL+ or VOL-. The volume will be shown on display for a moment.

Sleep function

Press the SLEEP/SNOOZE button shortly to adjust the sleep timer in 10 minutes steps from 120 minutes to 10 and 5 to OFF.

ANTENNA

For optimal reception, extend the antenna, move to fully extend and adjust.

FM RADIO

9 Press the button to select FM. The radio plays the last station selected.

10 Select a FM station

a) Automatic frequency selection: Press and hold the AMS/MODE button approx. 3 seconds. The system scans the entire frequency band for radio stations. Any stations found will be preset from lowest to highest frequency.

b) Manual frequency selection: Press TUN+/TUN- to change the frequency at intervals of 0.05 MHz.

FM Menu

11 Press STOP/MENU to select the FM radio menu. Select with TUN+/TUN- one of the following options:

- Scan setting

• All stations (scans all available stations)

• Strong stations (scans stations with strong signals)

- Audio setting

• Stereo allowed (Selects stereo playback)

- Forced mono (selects mono playback)

- System

• Language (language setting)

• Time Update (choose to update the time)

• Factory Reset (reset to default setting)

• SW version (displays software version)

Press ENT.CLOCK to confirm the selection.

Select fm station and info display

12 You can store up to 20 preset FM stations. Press PRE/FOLDER to select one of the stored stations. Station information can display by pressing INFO button.

DAB RADIO

13 Press the ⏻ button to select DAB. The radio will automatically do a full scan of DAB+ stations. The list of stations is then stored, eliminating the need for another full scan when the radio is turned on next time. When the scan is complete, the stations are stored in alphabetical order. The first available station will be played back.

Note:

If there is no DAB+ reception at any time, change the position of the unit or adjust the antenna. Press and hold the AMS/MODE for approx. 3 seconds to start a new search.

DAB Menu

14 Press STOP/MENU to select the DAB radio menu. Select with TUN+/TUN- one of the following options and confirm with ENT.CLOCK:

- Full scan

The radio will automatically perform a full scan of DAB+ stations.

- Manual tune

  1. Select with TUN+/TUN- „Manual tune“ and confirm by pressing ENT.CLOCK. On the display the frequencies will be shown.
  2. Select a frequency with TUN+/TUN- and confirm by pressing ENT.CLOCK.

- DRC

Dynamic Range Control removes or adds the degree of adaptation, required for the differences in dynamic range between stations.

Press TUN+/TUN- to select „DRC“ and confirm by pressing ENT.CLOCK. Following options are available on the display:

• DRC high: DRC turned on; default setting recommended for noisy environments.

• DRC low: DRC is set to half the normal level.

• DRC off: DRC is turned off.

- Prune

Removes all invalid stations from the station list.

  1. Press TUN+/TUN- to select Prune. Confirm by pressing ENT.CLOCK.
  2. Select "Yes" by pressing TUN+/TUN- and confirm with ENT.CLOCK. Or choose "No" to cancel.

CD/USB MODE

15 Press button to turn on the product. Press until "CD" appears on the display.

16 Open the CD compartment door and insert a CD with the label facing up.

  • Connect the USB device directly to the USB port of the product. Using an extension cable is not recommended and may cause interference and failure of data transfer.
    • This product supports USB 1.1 and 2.0 up to 64 GB with file system FAT16 and FAT32.
    • External devices cannot be charged via USB with this product.

19 Press Button to turn on the product. Press until "USB" appears on the display.

Note: If no CD or USB storage is inserted, the display shows "NO DISC"/"NO USB".

CD/USB PLAYBACK

  1. Start or pause playback: Press . ▶pause mode, remain time of the playing track will flash on the display.
  2. Stop playback: Press STOP. In stop mode, total number and time of tracks will appear on the display.
  3. Skip to next track: Press . Press and hold to fast forward.
  4. Skip to previous track: Press . Press and hold to fast reverse.
  5. During playback, press AMS/MODE repeatedly to switch the playback modes as follows:

Notes:

• This product reads CD, CD-R/-RW and MP3-CD discs. Other discs are not supported.
- When playing CD-R/RW discs the playback quality might be influenced by the quality of the burned disc. When burning CD-R/RW disks with audio files we recommend using the slowest burning speed.

PROGRAM PLAYBACK

Notes:

  • Up to 20 CD tracks or up to 99 MP3 tracks can be programmed for a playback in any desired order.
  • Programmed playback can only be made from one single source - it cannot include tracks from CD disc and USB storage at the same time.

  1. Stop playback: Press STOP.
  2. Enter program settings: Press AMS/MODE. MEM and P01 will show on the display.
  3. Select desired track: Press o▶▶.I ◀◀◀
  4. Store selected track into the program memory: Press AMS/MODE again. P02 will now show on the display.
  5. Repeat step 3 and 4 to program additional tracks.
  6. After programming all the desired tracks, press to start program playback. MEM appears on the display.
  7. Stop playback: Press 1x STOP.
  8. Cancel program playback: Press 2x STOP. MEM disappears from the display.

CLEANING AND CARE

  • WARNING! Before cleaning, always switch off the product and disconnect the plug from power.
    • Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.

CD MAINTENANCE

  • Small amount of dust or scratches will usually not have an impact on the quality of a disc. The discs should, however, be treated with care.
  • Protect your compact discs from dust and scratches.
    • Store your compact discs in their covers when not in use.
  • To maintain the original quality of sound, you should occasionally wipe your compact discs with a soft cloth, from the centre to the edge (not with circular movements). Never use gasoline or other solvents for cleaning.
    • Only hold a compact disc by its edges!
