Frequently Asked Questions - KIP 2431 Koenic

What types of cookware to use with the induction hob?
Only use certified induction-compatible pans and pots with a base diameter between 14 and 22 cm. Avoid heat-resistant glass, ceramic, copper or aluminium, as well as cookware with rounded bottoms or feet.
How to turn the KIP 2431 hob on and off?
Press the ON/Standby button (L) for about 2 seconds to turn on the desired zone. To turn off, press the ON/Standby button again. It is recommended to unplug the product for complete shutdown.
How to adjust the cooking temperature or power?
Use the °C and W buttons to select the mode (temperature from 60 to 220 °C in 20 °C steps, or power from 200 to 2000/1500 W in 200/100 W steps). Adjust with the + and - buttons.
How to use the timer?
During cooking, press the timer button (G). Set the duration from 0:01 to 3:00 hours with the +/- buttons (hold for 10-minute increments). Press the timer button again to confirm. At the end, the hob goes to standby and “H” flashes.
How to activate the child lock?
Press the + and - buttons simultaneously to lock the control panel. To unlock, hold both buttons for 3 seconds.
What does the “H” display on the hob mean?
“H” indicates residual heat: the cooking zone is still hot after turning off. The display automatically turns off when the temperature becomes safe.
What to do in case of error codes E1, E7 or E8?
These codes indicate a missing power supply or a sensor fault. Check the socket and plug. If the problem persists, unplug the appliance and contact after-sales service.
Why does the hob suddenly stop and beep?
This may be due to incompatible cookware or too small a diameter. Use an induction-compatible pan (base 14 to 22 cm). If the beeping persists, check that the temperature sensor is not faulty (codes E2/E4/E5/EB).
How to clean the induction hob?
Unplug and let cool. Clean external surfaces with a damp cloth and wipe thoroughly. Never use solvents, abrasive materials, metal or sharp objects. Avoid letting liquids enter the interior.
How to save energy when cooking?
Place the cookware in the centre of the zone before turning on, always cover pans, only heat necessary water, and use the lowest possible temperature. These actions reduce energy consumption.
