Safety instructions Risk of burning! Do not touch the product’s hot surfaces. Heat rises from the product during use. Caution! Hot surface!

• Keep electrical products out of reach from children. Do not let them use the product without supervision.

• This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

• Keep the product and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.

• Children shall not play with the product.

• A damaged power cord may only be replaced by the authorised service agent in order to avoid hazards.

• Warning: Unattended cooking on a hob with fat or oil can be dangerous and may result in fire. NEVER try to extinguish a fire with water, but switch o the appliance and then cover flame e.g. with a lid or a fire blanket.

• Warning - If the surface is cracked, switch o the product to avoid the possibility of electric shock.

• Metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids should not be placed on the hob surface since they can get hot.

• The product is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote- control system.

• Do not use a steam cleaner for cleaning!

• After use, switch o the product by its control and do not rely on the pan detector.

• Caution: The cooking process has to be supervised. A short term cooking process has to be supervised continuously.

• Read this user manual thoroughly before first use and pass it on with the product. Pay attention to the warnings on the product and in this user manual. It contains important information for your safety as well as for the use and maintenance of the equipment.

• Use the product only for its intended purpose and with recommended accessories and components. Improper use or wrong operation may lead to hazards.

• Never leave the product unsupervised while it is switched on.

• Do not place heavy objects on top of the product.

• Never immerse electrical parts of the product in water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the product under running water.

• Do not under any circumstances attempt (e.g. damage in power cord, product is dropped, etc.) to repair the product yourself. For servicing and repairs, please consult an authorised service agent.

• The mains voltage must match the information on the rating label of the product.

• Only unplug from the power socket can separate the product completely from the mains. Please be sure that the power plug is in operable condition.

• Avoid damages to the power cord that may be caused by kinks or contact with sharp corners.

• Keep this product including power cord and power plug away from all heat sources like for example, ovens, hot plates and other heat-producing products/objects.

• Only unplug from the power socket by the plug itself. Do not pull on the cord.

• Unplug the product ... - when the product is not being used, - in case of malfunctions, - before attaching / detaching accessories and - before cleaning the product.

• Use this product in dry indoor areas only and never outdoors.

• Never use, expose or put the product near to: - direct sunlight and dust; - fire (fireplace, grill, candles), water (water splashes, vases, ponds, bath tube) or heavy moisture.

Intended use This product is designed for heating and cooking foods with pots/saucepans. Any other use may result in damage to product or injuries. The product is only intended to be used in private households and shall not be used for commercial purposes. The Imtron GmbH assumes no liability for damage to the product, for property damage or for personal injury due to careless or improper usage of the product, or usage of product which does not meet the manufacturer’s specified purpose. Before first time use Remove the product and accessories carefully from the original packaging. It is recommended to keep the original packaging for storage. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, please observe applicable legal provisions. Should you have any questions regarding proper disposal, contact your local waste management center. Inspect the delivery contents for completeness and damages. Should the delivery contents be incomplete or damaged, contact your sales outlet immediately. Suitable cookware: Only use pans and pots which are declared as suitable for induction cooking with a bottom diameter of 14 to 22 cm. Not suitable cookware:

• Heat-resistant glass, ceramic, copper or aluminium cookware

• Cookware with curved bottoms or with feet

• Cookware with a diameter less than 14cm Operation Fig.

Place the Induction cooker on an even, stable and heat resistant surface. Keep a distance of 5 -10 cm away from the wall or any other objects. Fig.

Connect the power plug to a suitable power outlet. An acoustic signal sounds and the power indicator lights flashing once. The induction cooker is on standby mode now. Note: If the cooking surface temperature is >50 °C H is shown in display. Fig.

Place a suitable pot/saucepan on the center of the cooking zone. Note: Ensure that the pot/saucepan is clean and dry on the outside. Fig.

The hobs can be used separately or at once. The use is explained based on one hob. The left hob has 2000 W, the right hob has 1500 W. Fig.

Press the ON/Standby button for approx. 2seconds to switch on a certain hob which is indicated by an acoustic signal and a red indicator LED. Fig.

Choose temperature or power mode using buttons and . The preset mode is indicated by a red LED. Fig.

Choose the desired power (200-2000/1500 W in 200/100 W steps) or temperature (60 - 220 °C in 20 °C steps) by pressing +/– buttons. Fig.

In turned on product will switch to standby mode, when

• after 60 seconds no setting was done

• after 60 seconds after a setting the hob is left empty Fig.

After use press ON/Standby button to turn the product to standby. Warning Always unplug the product to ensure it is completely turned o. IM_KIP2431_170223_V05_HR.indb 23 24/2/17 6:02 PM24 English Timer Note: Using the timer function the induction cooking hobs will automatically turn to standby after a preset time elapsed. The min./max. adjustable times are 0:01 minute/3:00 hours. Fig.

To activate the timer press the timer during cooking. The display shows 00:00 flashing.

The residual time can be set using the +/– buttons. With a single tap of the +/– button the value changes by 1 minute. Keep the +/– button pressed, the value changes quickly with 10minutes increments.

Press timer button again to confirm the set value. Note: If the timer is activated the display alternatingly shows the residual time and the preset temperature or power level. After preset time elapsed the induction cooking hob will be switched to standby and the display shows blinking H. Key Lock The cooktop can be locked against unintentional use (e.g. as child protection). If the lock is activated all control buttons except the on/o switch are locked. Fig.

Press + and – buttons at once to lock the control panel. Press + and – buttons at once for approx. 3 seconds to unlock the control panel. Residual heat indicator Fig.

The induction cooking plate has a residual heat indicator. If the cooking plate is o but still hot, H is shown in each power level display. The display turns o when the cooking plate cooled down to a safe temperature. Cleaning and care Warning When cleaning, never use solvents or abrasive materials, hard brushes, metallic or sharp objects. Solvents are harmful to human health and can attack plastic parts, while abrasive cleaning mechanisms and tools may scratch the surface(s). Fig.

Unplug the induction cooker and let it cool down completely before cleaning. Fig.

Clean the product’s exterior surfaces with a slightly damp cloth and then dry them thoroughly. Make sure that no water enters the product interior (for example, through the switch). If problems cannot be solved as indicated under Solution, please contact your manufacturer. Problem / error code Possible causes Solution The LED does not come on when unit is plugged in. /E1/E7/E8 No power supplied •Check to see if plug is secured tightly in outlet and that outlet is working. The Cooking Mode Indicator comes on, but heating does not start. /E3/E6 High temperature of the hob.

• Ambient temperature may be too high.

• Air Intake or Air Vent may be blocked. There is something wrong with the fan

• Check whether the fan runs smoothly Heating stops suddenly during operation and hear a beep every second. Pan Type is wrong. •Use the proper pot (refer to the instruction manual.) Pot diameter is too small. E2/E4/E5/EB Failure of the temperature sensor

• Unplug the product and contact the authorized service. Noise during operation Because of the induction technology, following noises can be occurred during operation: Noise Meaning Humming Caused by induction and increase when the power is set on higher level. Crackle Caused by vibration of the cookware bottom during heating Fan noise The fan protect the product of overheating. The noise increase with power level. After turn o the product, the fan will still operate for some minutes to cool down the product. • Place the cookware in the middle of the cooking zone before switch on the product.

• When cooking always cover the cookware with a lid.

• When boiling water, only boil the required quantity of water.

• Always use the lowest possible temperature for cooking.
