Intended Use

This thermometer/hygrometer is used to measure room temperature and humidity and thus to control the room climate. It is not suitable for commercial use.

Safety

• This item can be used by children 8 years of age and above, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capacities or lacking experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the item and understand the dangers that may arise.
  Children must not play with the item.
• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children, unless they

are 8 years of age or older and are being supervised.

• Batteries, when swallowed, can be life-threatening. Thus, keep the item and battery out of reach of small children. If the battery is swallowed, seek medical help immediately.

DANGER for children

• Keep children away from packaging material. Risk of choking if swallowed.

RISK of fire/burning and/or explosion

• There is a risk of explosion if batteries are replaced incorrectly. Replace batteries only with the same or equivalent battery type. Observe the "Technical Data".

• Batteries must not be recharged, reactivated by other means, dismantled, thrown into fire, or short-circuited.

Otherwise there is an increased risk of explosion and leakage; furthermore, gases may escape!

• Avoid contact of the battery fluid with skin, eyes, and mucosa. In case of contact, rinse the affected areas right away with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor immediately.

BEWARE of material damage

• Do not immerse the item in water or other liquids and protect it from strong shocks and vibrations.
• Remove the battery when it is exhausted or if you will not use the item for an extended period of time. This prevents damage that may be caused by leakage.

• When inserting and changing batteries, pay attention to the correct polarity (+/-).

• Do not subject the batteries to extreme conditions by e.g. storing them on heaters or exposed to direct sunlight. Increased risk of leakage!

• Clean the battery and device contacts, as needed, before inserting the battery.
• Do not make any modifications to the product. Repairs must only be carried out by a specialist workshop. Repairs carried out incorrectly can considerably endanger the user.

Start-up

Removing iso-strips

1. Turn the battery cover counterclockwise and remove it with a coin or similar object all the way to the stop.
2. Remove the iso-strip.
3. Place the battery compartment cover and turn it clockwise all the way to the stop.

Inserting/changing batteries

1. Turn the battery cover counterclockwise and remove it with a coin or similar object all the way to the stop.

2. Slide the battery (CR 2032) against the contact spring under the two metal retaining brackets and push downwards. The plus pole (+) must point upwards.

3. Place the battery compartment cover and turn it clockwise all the way to the stop. Suggestions for changing the battery:

4. The batteries must be changed when nothing is shown on the display.

5. Only use the battery type specified in the "Technical Data".
6. Dispose of old batteries in an environmentally friendly manner, see "Disposal".

Use

As soon as the thermometer/hygrometer is supplied with power, the display shows the following:

• Room temperature in ^ C
• Humidity in percentage
• Comfort indicator in the form of a smiley

Time (after manual setting)

Setting the time

1. Press SET until the hour indicator flashes.
2. Use UP or DOWN to set the hour.
3. Press SET 1x.
4. Use UP or DOWN to set the minute.
5. Press SET to exit.

Setting up the device

The device has a base and a hanging loop for wall mounting.

Change temperature unit

• Press the DOWN button 1x to display the temperature in ^ C elsius or ^ F ahrenheit.

Changing the time display (12-/24-hour)

• Press the UP button 1x to display the time in 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour format.

Comfort indicator

The comfort indicator consists of temperature (T) and humidity (L).

Resetting the thermometer/hygrometer

Only required if abnormal or apparently false values are displayed.

1. Remove the batteries and wait for a moment.
2. Insert the batteries correctly again (+ / - )
3. Reset the time.

Cleaning

Do not immerse the item in water or other liquids. Do not use rough, scratching or abrasive cleaning agents.

-If necessary, dust the item with a soft, dry cloth or wipe it with a slightly moistened cloth.

Fault and remedy

No function.

• Battery empty or inserted the wrong way around?

Temperature indication appears too high.

• Check whether the thermometer/ hygrometer is exposed to direct sunlight.
