Frequently Asked Questions - SMM888BX BEKO

Can I blend hot liquids in this blender?
Yes, this blender is designed to blend hot soups thanks to its heating function. However, never fill the bowl with hot liquids above the maximum level and wait for the appliance to cool down before cleaning. Always use the lid to avoid splashes.
How to clean the SMM888BX blender?
Unplug the appliance and let it cool down. The lid and measuring cup are dishwasher safe. For the bowl and motor unit, wipe them with a damp cloth and a little mild detergent. Never immerse the bowl or motor unit in water. Use a brush to clean the sharp blades.
What is the Pulse function?
The Pulse function allows blending with short, rapid impulses. Hold down the button to activate pulsed mixing, ideal for chopping or crushing ingredients without over-processing. Release the button to stop immediately.
Can I use frozen ingredients?
Yes, you can add frozen fruits or vegetables, but do not fill the bowl beyond the maximum capacity. For very hard ingredients (ice cubes), use the Pulse function in short bursts.
How to choose the right soup program?
Use the Thick soup mode for hearty soups (about 35 minutes) and the Light soup mode for thinner soups (about 25 minutes). After cooking, the keep-warm mode keeps the soup hot for 40 minutes.
What to do if the appliance stops during use?
The appliance may shut off automatically in case of overheating or overload. Let it cool down for a few minutes before restarting. If the problem persists, check that the bowl is not overfilled or that the lid is properly locked.
Are the blades removable?
No, the blades are not removable for safety reasons. They are fixed in the bowl. To clean them, use a brush carefully as they are very sharp.
Can I make jam with this appliance?
Yes, the blender has a Jam mode (30 minutes). Follow the recommended proportions (e.g., 50 g butter, 50 g flour, 0.5 L milk) or adapt your recipe. Be careful, the bowl becomes very hot.
How to store the appliance after use?
Unplug the appliance, clean it, and dry it completely. Store it in its original packaging or in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children. Do not place heavy objects on it.
