●Make sure the air intake and outlet openings are not blocked (e.g. by fingers or hair), and that no fluff or fibre particles are allowed to accumulate in the air intake.
A blockage in the air-flow system may cause the integral thermal safety cut-out to switch off the appliance. Should this occur, immediately disconnect the appliance from the mains power and allow sufficient time for it to cool down before the blockage is removed and the appliance is switched on again.
- Before the appliance is used, the main body as well as any attachments fitted should be checked thoroughly for any defects. If the appliance, for instance, has been dropped onto a hard surface, it must no longer be used: even invisible damage may have adverse effects on its operational safety.
- The power cord should be regularly examined for any signs of damage. In the event of such damage being found, the appliance must no longer be used.
Do not operate the appliance if excessive force has been used to pull the power cord. Damage cannot always be detected from the outside; the entire unit should therefore be checked by a qualified technician before it is used again.

Dryer models with IONIC function
When brushing hair, the friction may create a static charge, causing the hair to 'fly'. By generating negative ions, the IONIC function largely neutralises this static charge and makes it easier to treat the hair.
The IONIC function is automatically enabled
● during use, irrespective of the switch settings; it is indicated by the indicator light.
• Styling nozzle
The styling nozzle can be fitted to the air outlet to facilitate shaping the hair during blow drying.
• Volume diff usor
The volume diffusor is also fitted to the air outlet.
The diff user is used to create or maintain the volume and natural look of curly or wavy hair. Always start at the ends of the hair, working your way towards the roots. Move the diff user with a gentle circular motion over the head. For increased volume, the hair should be gently blow-dried from above, i.e. with the head forward and hair hanging down.
● Air-flow and temperature controls
By using different combinations of the air-fl ow and temperature controls, various settings are possible when drying the hair.
The air-flow control regulates the air-flow intensity, while the temperature control regulates the heat of the air-flow.
With the air-flow control set to the 'O'-position, the hair-dryer is switched off.
Cool function
Aft er using the heat setting, the cool function can be employed. Th is supplies cooler air to help firm the hair and give it an attractive shine.
Operation
Connect the hair dryer to a suitable wall socket and select the desired power setting with the switches integrated in the handle.
Cleaning and care
Before cleaning the hair dryer, remove the plug from the wall socket and let the appliance cool down completely.
To avoid the risk of electric shock, do
not clean the hair dryer with water nor immerse it in water.
If necessary, the housing of the hair dryer – may be wiped with a dry lint-free cloth.
The air intake grille can be removed to facilitate cleaning. To remove, slide the grille to the left and remove any accumulated lint particles or hair before replacing it. Make sure that you insert the grille into the guide slot the correct way round (i.e. with the locking pieces facing down).
