Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the below:

  1. To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons do not immerse cord, plug, or in water or other liquid.

  11. Some parts of appliance are hot when operated, so do not touch with your hand. Use handles or buttons, dial controls only.
  12. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children
  13. Children should not to play with the appliance.
  14. Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
  15. This appliance is intended for household use only.
  16. To reduce the risk of fire or electric user shock, do not attempt to disassemble the product. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by authorized service personnel.
  17. Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use
  18. Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas and other utensils, away from beater, whisk or dough hooks during operation to prevent injury and / or damage to the mixer.
  19. Mixing flammable non-food substances can be harmful.

Electrical Cord

a) A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:

  1. The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
  2. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

Attention: If you want to dispose of this equipment, please do not use the ordinary dust bin!

Before using your appliance for the first time

  • To clean the kettle thoroughly, fill with clear water, bring to the boil and repeat. The first time you fill the kettle, add a tablespoon of household vinegar.

Before using your appliance for the first time

Please fold out the illustrated page! Do not switch an appliance on when empty as it could be damaged. Observe the max mark! Before boiling water, close the lid and insert the filter, otherwise the automatic steam stop will not function!

Risk of scalding! Do not open lid whilst it is hot. Leave the appliance to cool down for 5 minutes before refilling with water.

Cleaning and descending

Electric shock risk

Never immerse the kettle or the base in water or put in the dishwasher!

Do not use a steam cleaner.

  • Pull out the mains plug.
  • Descale the kettle with vinegar or a commercially available descaling agent.
  • Do not use sharp or abrasive detergents.
  • Rinse out the kettle and scale filter with clear water.

Regular descending

  • Prolongs the service life of the appliance,
  • Ensure that the kettle functions properly,
  • Reduces the boiling time,
  • Saves energy.
    Descale the kettle with vinegar or a commercially available descaling agent.
  • Fill the kettle up to the max mark with water and bring to the boil. Then add approx. 1 cup of household vinegar and leave to react for several hours.
  • Or use descending agent according to the manufacturer's instructions, never bring to the boil.
  • Remove the scale filter and place in a little vinegar.
  • Then rinse the kettle and scale filter with clear water.

Attention: Never remove calcification residue with hard implements, otherwise the seal will be damaged

Troubleshooting

The appliance is not heating up. The indicator light does not come on -> the overheating protection system has actuated.

  • Switch in Off position, take the kettle off the base (after the kettle has cooled down for a fairly long time) and put back on again. The appliance switches off before the boiling process ends the appliance is calcified.
  • Descale the appliance according to the instructions.

This appliance has been identified in accordance with the European directive 2002/96/EG on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). The directive paves the way for effective EU-wide withdrawal and utilization of waste appliances.

Function instruction

This kettle has three kinds of function: boiling water, keep warm and boiling extend.

Function setting

1. State instruction:

There are two states for this electric kettle: setting state and working state. At setting state, the icon of the function which is selected will be light and then parameters can be set. At working state, the icon of working function is flashing. Set water temperature is shown on LCD.

2. Control panel instruction:

At setting stage, the set parameter will increase after pressing. When parameter is at the max, it will go back to the min. If you press on all the time, parameter increases continuously.

At setting stage, the set parameter will reduce after pressing When the parameter reaches the min, it will go back to the max; If you press all the time, parameter reduces continuously.

At setting stage, change function by pressing will change to the selected function. Press and unit will go to working state or back to setting state.

3. Parameter setting instruction:

With power on, default setting of above three functions are as follow: boiling water to 100, boiling extend to 3s. Press the switch to other parameter settings and the corresponding icon will be light.

a) When set to boil parameter, the water temperature can be adjusted from 40^ to 100^ ; by 5^ intervals.
b) When set to keep warm temperature, the kettle can be adjusted from 40^ to 90^ ; by intervals of 5^ ; Keeping warm is up to 30 mins. If you do not need to keep warm, set parameter to "0", (Keep warm temperature should be lower than boiling water temperature, otherwise unit will adjust it by itself.)
