This electric spice and coffee grinder (hereinafter - “grinder”) is intended for grinding, chopping, pureeing and mixing of a wide variety of foods.

  • The “Duo” grinding container with a two-bladed knife is intended for grinding and chopping of dry foods such as nuts, coffee and spices.
  • The “Quattro” grinding container with a four-bladed knife is intended for mixing and shredding of moist foods such as herbs.

The grinder is designed exclusively for private use indoors and is not suitable for commercial use.

Use the grinder only as described in this operating manual. Any other use is considered improper and may result in damage to property or even personal injury.

The manufacturer or dealer assumes no liability for damage caused by improper or incorrect use.

Safety

  • Do not allow children to use this device. Keep the device and its power cord away from children.
  • This device is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and/or knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children must not play with the device.

- Keep wrapping and packaging material away from children. There is a choking hazard! Also pay attention that children do not pull the packaging material over their heads.

- If the power cord of this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its after-sales or customer service to avoid hazards.

Danger from electricity

  • Do not immerse the grinder, power cord or power plug in water or other liquids.
  • Place the grinder in such a way that no liquids can spill over the device plug connection.

- Do not operate the device with wet hands.

- Do not operate the device outdoors.

  • Connect the device to a correctly installed socket that has a voltage corresponding to that described under "Technical Data".
  • Make sure that the mains outlet is readily accessible so that you can quickly unplug the power cord, if necessary.

- Do not use the device:

-if the device itself or its parts are damaged,
-if the power cord or plug is damaged,
-if the device has fallen down.

- Before each use, pull the power cord out of the cable compartment as far as necessary. Make sure that the power cord is not damaged by sharp edges or hot objects.

- Unplug the power cord from the mains outlet:

-if you do not use the grinder,
-after each use,
-before cleaning or putting away the device,
-if, during operation, there appears to be interference,
-during a storm.
-To unplug, always grasp the power plug; do not pull on the cable.

- Do not modify the device or power cord. Have repairs carried out only by a specialist workshop as improperly repaired devices endanger the user.

- Do not use an extension cable.

WARNING of risk of injury

  • While working, put up long hair, tie it up backwards or cover it under a cap.
  • Do not touch moving parts of the device and do not attempt to stop them by hand or using other objects.
  • Do not use the grinder if the knives in the grinding containers are damaged.
  • The knives are sharp. Therefore, be careful when inserting, cleaning, and changing. Do not touch the knives with bare hands.

BEWARE of material damage

  • Do not operate the grinder for more than 1 minute at a time. After that, allow the grinder to cool down for approx. 2 minutes.
  • Never operate the grinder without ingredients, as this could cause the motor to overheat.
  • Never place the grinder on or near hot surfaces (for example, hot plates, etc.).

- Avoid contact of the power cord with hot parts.

  • Never expose the grinder to a high temperature (heating, etc.) or adverse weather conditions (rain, etc.).
  • Place the grinder on a robust, smooth, and easy-to-clean worktop. When processing foods, occasional splashes are unavoidable.
  • The grinder has feet on the underside. Since surfaces are made from various materials and are treated with diverse care products, it cannot be completely excluded that some of these substances contain ingredients that attack and soften the feet of the device. Place a non-slip pad under the grinder, if necessary.
  • Use only original accessories.

Before first use

Unpacking and checking

  1. Carefully unpack the grinder and remove all packaging material.
  2. Check that the delivery is complete.
  3. Check whether the grinder or its individual parts have any damage. If this is the case, do not use the grinder. In this case, contact the dealer where you bought the device.
  4. Before first use, clean all parts as described in chapter "Cleaning".

- The device is designed for a short-time operation of 1 minute. After that, allow the device to cool down for 2 minutes before resuming operation.

  1. Place the grinder on a clean and flat surface.

  2. Place the desired grinding container on the base station.

-Grinding and chopping of dry foods such as nuts, coffee and spices: Take the "Duo" grinding container with the two-bladed knife.

-Mixing and shredding of moist foods such as herbs: Take the "Quattro" grinding container with the four-bladed knife.

  1. Fill the grinding container with the food to be processed. Note the markings in the container: do not overfill it!

  1. Replace the seal cover on the base station. Note the position of guide pins on the seal cover and recesses on the base station.

  2. Turn the seal cover counter-clockwise until it stops. The device is ready to work only if the seal cover is in this position.

  3. Plug the power cord into the mains outlet.

  4. Press and hold down the power button until the food in the grinding container has reached the desired degree of grinding or is pureed. As soon as you release the button, the motor will stop.

- The degree of grinding depends on the duration of the grinding process.

-Observe the short-time operation of 1 minute.

- The desired result can also be achieved by multiple power on and off cycles depending on the nature of the ingredients.

When food processing is finished:

  1. Release the power button.
  2. Turn the seal cover clockwise until it stops and remove it.
  3. Remove the grinding container from the base station.

After use

  1. Unplug the power cord from the mains outlet.
  2. Clean the grinder and the parts used after each use.

Strongly colouring foods such as carrots discolour the plastic drinking bottle during prolonged use. However, this does not affect the function.

Housing

- Wipe the base station with a slightly damp cloth, if necessary. Then, wipe it dry thoroughly.

Accessories

  1. Thoroughly clean the accessories in hot dishwashing water.
  2. Wipe all parts dry thoroughly.
  3. Finally, check that all parts are really thoroughly cleaned and free of any stuck leftovers.

Storage and transport

  1. Slide the power cord into the integrated cord rewind.
  2. Store the clean and dry grinder and accessories in a dry, frost-free place out of the reach of children.
  3. To transport the grinder safely, wrap it in bubble wrap and place it in its original packaging.

Fault/Remedy

Fault Possible cause
No function.· Check if the power cord is plugged.· The device is ready to work only if the seal cover has been properly replaced and turned counter-clockwise up to the stop.
Poor mixing result. · Check...... if the food is suitable,... if you have used the right grinding container.
