Frequently Asked Questions - CA807 Clean Air Optima

How to install the CA-807 humidifier?

Place the device on a stable and flat surface, more than one meter from the ceiling and at least 20 cm from walls. Keep it away from radiators, direct sunlight and sensitive electronic devices. Plug it into a 220-230 V outlet.

How to fill the water tank?

Open the cover of the device, remove the tank, open its cap and fill it with tap water at room temperature (max 40°C). Close the cap tightly, replace the tank and close the device cover.

What are the different operating modes?

The modes are: Sleep (silent), Baby (humidity at 66%), Auto (humidity at 55%), Health (adjustable humidity 50-70%). Use the Mode button to switch.

How to use the fast humidification function?

Press the fast humidification (Turbo) button to quickly increase the room humidity. The power consumption then goes to 344 W and the flow rate to 400 ml/h.

How to set the timer?

Press the Timer button to set the desired duration (from 1 h to 12 h). The device will automatically turn off at the end of the programmed time.

What to do if the device does not turn on?

Check that the device is plugged into a working outlet. Make sure the water basin is correctly inserted and the tank contains water. If the 'Empty' light is on, fill the tank.

How to clean the water tank?

Empty the tank daily and rinse it with fresh water. Twice a week, clean it with a sponge and warm water (< 40°C) without chemicals. Wipe with a clean cloth.

How to clean the rotor and humidification discs?

Remove the rotor from the basin. Clean the discs with a sponge and warm water (< 40°C) with a little dish soap. For limescale, use vinegar. Rinse and reassemble.

What is the replacement frequency for filters?

The ECO-AIR PLUS filter must be replaced every 6 months. The Nano-silver filter must be replaced every 12 months. Only use original filters.

What to do if water leaks from the device?

Check that the tank cap is tightly closed and that the device is placed on a flat surface. Make sure the water basin is correctly inserted. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

How to install

- The body frame is recommended to install in the place where the floor is strong and flat and the air is circulated well.

▶ If the body frame is installed facing the center of the room, more effective air flow can be created.

• Over 1m from the ceiling
• Over 20cm of left and right direction from the wall

Don't block the filter in the side.

• When the body frame moves or is used for a long time, pull the plug out and dump the water from the water tank. (It can cause water to overflow and fungi and various germs to increase.)
• Don't use it with the body frame leaning. It can lead to not working or overflowing.
• Don't install in a condition which can cause suction port or discharge port.
  • Install it in a interval of over 2m in AV device such as TV or radio. (It can cause noise if it is close.)
• In a place where electronic wave can be created such as speaker or electronic cooker, sensor for water level cannot work and the time of water supply cannot be told exactly.
• Don't use it next to the place with direct light and heater. It can cause the body frame to be deformed or discolored.
  • Install it in a flat place. If it is installed in a slanted place, water sensor can work and the product can stop working.

- Use it indoor with low humidity.

If humidity nearby is high due to the characteristics of the product, the humidity can be reduced.

How to supply water

- Use it clearly at all times by replacing water with clean water daily.

① Open the cap of the water tank and remove the water tank.

② Open the cap of the water tank and put tap water in it.

- In case of separating the water tank part, at first remove the water tank.

Evaporative humidifying system

- Steam cannot be seen.

- As it is natural evaporative type without boiling water, the increase cannot be seen.

● The wind coming from ventilator is not warm.

- As the air taken in during the evaporation gets rid of the heat, the wind coming from the ventilator is not warm. Depending on the size of the room, it can be felt cold.

● Rapid humidifying can be set.

- If rapid humidifying is set, humidity can increase by the method of Hybrid.

● Depending on the temperature or humidity, humidity can be changed.

• In case of high room humidity or low temperature, the humidity can change.
• During the operating Manual Mode, if it operates for over 2 hours at over 70% of humidity, humidity can be changed into Weak condition and it operates. (If the humidity is at less than 60% during the operation, it can return to the normal condition.)

Operating sensor

● Depending on the humidity nearby, it can work automatically.

• During the operation, the sensor can keep the optimal humidity in a mode set by sensing current humidity nearby.
• Even in the same indoor, the humidity can be displayed differently depending on the temperature difference or air flow.
• During the initial operation, it can take several minutes to sense the humidity of the near surrounding.

Displaying room humidity

- It displays the current condition of room humidity in near surrounding.

- It can display the humidity measured by humidity sensor in the body frame with 3 colors.

- It can display the humidity with humidity sensor in the body frame; Orange in dry, Blue in proper humid, White in excessive humid.

• Humidity can be different depending on the place because of temperature difference and air flow.
• It can be different from that of other humidifiers.
• Shortly after the operation, it can be influence by temperature or humidity. So it takes a little time for the displaying of humidity to be stabilized.

● Put water tank into the body frame.

※It takes about 40 seconds to fill water tank with water after water tank is put into the body frame. Pressing power button with water not filled into water bassin can lead to turning off the display of no water and not working product.

- If power plug is inserted into the outlet for 220V - 230V and power button is pressed, the product can work along with melody.

• Initial setting is kept at [Manual mode/Humidity-Turbo-Co].
  • After putting the plug in, create the clean indoor surrounding according to the method of using operation part.
• If you don't use it, keep it with plug pulled out.

• If you feel that the air in the discharge port is cold or the water in the tank is seriously reduced, you can feel it in the condition that water is cold or the humidity nearby is high. If you use Rapid Humidity, the humidity can increase by about twice.

How to use 'Mode'

• Press the Mode button.
• It can be operated in the order of Sleep → Infant → Artificial intelligence → Health protection-Manual.

• If the current humidity is higher than the proper indoor humidity, it can stop humidifying and the fan can work at the Weak condition.

- Reserving Time can be operated in all modes and in changing mode, Reserving Time can be cancelled.

- Reserve the operation time you want by pressing the button for reserving time.

• Press the button for reserving time [Co(continuing) → 1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 5 → 6 → 7 → 8 → Co (continuing)] can be repetitively displayed.
• In case of set time, humidity stops automatically and standby condition with power LED turning on can be kept.
• It the water is running out, No Water is displayed with melody and humidifying stops.

How to clean

Make sure to pull the plug out.

● Shake the water tank filled with water 4 or 5 times after closing the cap of the water tank.

• Don't add chemical agents.
• Clean up often by putting hands into the water tank.

Body frame (if contaminated)

- Wipe it out after wetting and wringing out soft cloth by diluting the concentration of neutral detergent for kitchen. Lastly wipe it out with dry towel.

- Don't use benzene, thinner, alkaline detergent, and powdered detergent to prevent deformity and discoloration.

It's is recommended to clean it once a week for more pleasant humidification.

■ Remove dust on the surface of ECO-Air Plus Filter using a cleaner or a soft brush.
- Do not clean the ECO-Air Plus filter with water. If it is cleaned with water, it may lead to bad performance.
- Do not use it without the ECO-Air Plus filter.

How to clean up

Clean water tank part twice in a week.

- If you don't remove the water from water tank after using and the condition is left, the color of the water is changed or the water stinks.

① Remove the cover of water tank.

[How to clean up humidifying filter]

If the stain is not removed, soak the tank for 3 hours in tepid water (less than 40^ C) where neutral detergent is dissolved and rinse it enough with clean water. (When boiling or washing in a boiling water, the product can be deformed.)

▶ When there is difficulty in removing water scum of evaporative filter, wash the filter with citric acid.
