HEART Grab one of these to restore one heart to your health. RED BALLOONS Get one of these to increase your Red Balloon supply. *You can also buy balloons at Funky’s Fly ‘n’ Buy. BLUE BALLOONS If you run out of air, a Blue Balloon will automatically refill your air meter. BANANA COINS Use these to buy items. SQUAWKS Alerts you when a Puzzle Piece is nearby. K-O-N-G LETTERS These are hidden throughout levels. Collect them all and something good may happen. PUZZLE PIECES Collect all of these to increase the number of items available in Extras. CRASH GUARD This protects you from damage while riding the Mine Cart or Rocket Barrel. PORTABLE DD/DX/CK BARRELS This automatically makes a partner character appear. BANANA JUICE This is automatically activated if you come into contact with an enemy or a hazard. It provides temporary invincibility. HEART BOOSTS Take one of these to increase your maximum hearts by one.
