How to install the AYA AHV60WLED range hood?

Installation must be carried out by a qualified technician. The hood can be mounted on the wall or under a cabinet. Maintain a distance of 65 to 75 cm above the cooking surface. Use a 120 mm diameter exhaust pipe for external venting. Follow the installation diagram provided in the manual.

How to clean the hood and its filters?

Unplug the hood before any cleaning. The stainless steel grease filter can be cleaned with warm water (40-50°C) and mild detergent, or in a dishwasher at 60°C. Do not use abrasive products. Clean the exterior of the hood with a damp cloth.

What to do if the motor does not work but the light turns on?

Check that the filter does not block the motor fan. If the problem persists, the capacitor or motor may be damaged. Contact an authorized after-sales service for replacement.

How to replace the LED bulb?

The LED bulb is not replaceable by the user. If defective, contact the manufacturer, its after-sales service, or a qualified professional. The ILCOS D code is DBS-2/65-H-120/33.

What is the power of the hood?

The hood has a motor power of 85 W and lighting of 2 W, for a total power of 87 W. Its maximum airflow is 223.5 m³/h.

Can the hood be used in recirculation mode?

Yes, the hood can operate in recirculation mode (indoor air) or external exhaust. For recirculation, install the outlet cover and set the ventilation device to indoor position. A charcoal filter (not supplied) may be required.

How to adjust the suction speed?

The hood has 3 speeds: low (1) for light frying, medium (2) for normal cooking, high (3) for grilling and intense frying. Use the speed selection button on the control panel.

What to do in case of vibration or abnormal noise?

Check that the hood is properly mounted on the wall or under the cabinet. Tighten the screws. If the motor fan is damaged, have it replaced. Ensure the exhaust tube is not blocked.

What is the energy class of the hood?

The hood is rated C for energy efficiency, E for fluid dynamic efficiency, C for grease filtering, and A for lighting efficiency. Annual consumption: 46.7 kWh/year.

Is special maintenance required for the hood?

Yes, clean the grease filter every week and the hood exterior every two months with hot water (without abrasive detergent). Regularly check the power cord. Do not flambé food under the hood.

Safety warnings

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• The cooker hood is for home use only, not suitable for barbecue, Roast shop and other commercial purpose.
• This appliance is equipped with an earth plug and should be inserted to a grounded socket.
• Please ask the technical person to do the assembling.
• The cooker hood and its filter mesh should be clean regularly in order to keep in good working order.
• CAUTION: Accessible parts may become hot when used with cooking appliances.
• Before cleaning, please switch the power off at the main supply.
• Clean the cooker hood according to the instruction manual and keep the cooker hood from the danger of burning.
• If there is any fault with the appliance, please call the service department to arrange a service engineer.

Do not burn the food under the range hood.

The air must not be discharged into a flue that is used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels
- When the range hood is located above a gas appliance, the minimum distance between the supporting surface for the cooking vessels on the hob and the lowest part of the range hood that distance must be at least 65~cm .

Installation

INSTALLATION(VENT OUTSIDE)

If you have an outlet to the outside, your cooker hood can be connected as below picture by means of an extraction duct (enamel, aluminum, flexible pipe or non-flammable material with an interior diameter of 120mm )

1. Before installation, turn the unit off and unplug it from the outlet.

1. The cooker hoods should be placed at a distance of 65 - 75cm from the cooking surface for best effect. See Pic 1.

1. To install onto the wall, drill 2 holes of 8mm on a suitable place according with the centre distance of hole in the back of the cooker hood. See Pic 2

1. Insert the wall plugs into the holes.
2. Insert the ST4*30mm screws into the wall plugs and tight.
3. Put up the cooker hood onto the fixed screws.
4. Then use the attached accessories enclosed to turn the safety screws into the two holes of inside the hood, and then fix the screws to tighten the hood onto the wall.See pic below.

1. Install the one way valve to the cooker hood outlet, then put the expansion pipe on the one way valve, and lead it to outdoor, or use the outlet cover to seal the outer outlet and open the inner exhaust valve.

Method B:

1. Drill 4 holes of 6 mm at the bottom of the hanging cupboard.See pic below.

1. Dress the one way valve to the cooker hood outlet, and install the cooker hood on the bottom of the cupboard, tighten the cooker hood with enclosed M4 screws + flat washer.
2. Put the expansion pipe on the one way valve, then lead it to outdoor.

Notice: There are 2 methods for ventilation, including 'horizontal ventilation' and 'vertical ventilation'. Please pay attention to the ventilation method when installation.

Horizontal ventilation: See Pic A, please use the tool to knock out the outlet cover on the top, then the air can be vented from top.

Vertical ventilation: See Pic B, please use the tool to knock out the outlet cover on the back, then the air can be vented from back.

Air ventilation setting

Outdoor air ventilation: Turn the adjuster to outdoor position(pic A), install the outlet, turn on the cooker hood, then the air will be vented from the outside outlet. See pic C.

Indoor air ventilation: Turn the adjuster to indoor position (picB), install the outlet cover, turn on the cooker hood, then the air can be vented from the inside outlet. See pic D.

• Failure to install the screws or fixing device in accordance with these instructions may result in electrical hazards.

IMPORTANT:

1. Before installation, please ensure the area is clean to avoid suction of the remaining bits of broken wood and dust.
2. It cannot share the same air ventilation tube with other appliance such as gas tube, warmer tube, and hot wind tube.
3. The bending of ventilation tube should be 120, parallel or above the start point and should be connected to the external wall.
4. After installation, make sure that the extractor is level to avoid grease collection at one end.

Maintenance

The cleaning of the carbon grease filter mesh

The filter mesh is made of high-density stainless steel. Please do not use the corrosive detergent on it. Keeping this filter clean will keep the appliance running correctly. Please strictly follow the guidelines below.

Method 1: Put the mesh into 40 - 50^ clean water pour on detergent, and soak for 2-3 mins.

Wear gloves and clean with a soft brush.

Please do not apply too much pressure as the mesh is delicate and will damage easy.

Method 2: If instructed to do so, it can be put into a dishwasher, set the temperature at around 60 degrees.

Notice of cleaning cooker hood

A. To protect the main body from corrosion over a long period of time, the cooker hood should be cleaned with hot water plus non corrosive detergent every two months.

B. Please do not use abrasive detergent for it will damage the body.
C. Keep the motor and other spare parts free from water, as this will cause damage to the appliance.
D. Before cleaning the appliance please remember to cut off power
E. The carbon filter shouldn't be exposed to heat.
F. Please don't tear open the fixed bar around the carbon filter.
G. If the plug or cord is damaged, please replace it with special soft cord.

LAMP REPLACEMENT

Important:

The lamp must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons.
Always switch off the electricity supply before carrying out any operations on the appliance. When handling lamp, make sure it has completely cooled down before any direct contact with hands.
When handling lamp hold with a cloth or gloves to ensure perspiration does not come in contact with the lamp as this can reduce the life of the lamp.
