Frequently Asked Questions - AeraMax DX95 FELLOWES

How do I replace the filters on my Fellowes AeraMax DX95 air purifier?
Unplug the device. Remove the drawer, then take out the old filters. Insert the new carbon filter first, then the True HEPA filter. Close the drawer. Plug the device back in and reset the filter indicator by pressing and holding the replacement icon for 3 seconds, then select the relevant filter.
How do I reset the filter replacement indicator after changing the filters?
Once the new filters are installed and the device is powered on, press and hold the filter replacement icon for 3 seconds until you hear a beep. The HEPA filter icon flashes. Press again to toggle between HEPA and carbon. Hold for 3 to 5 seconds to reset each filter.
What do the colors of the AeraSmart™ air quality indicator mean?
The blue indicator means the air is clean, the amber indicator indicates poor quality, and the red indicator signals a high amount of pollutants.
How do I use the Aera+™ mode on my air purifier?
Press the ⚙️ icon (Aera+™ mode) after turning on the device. This mode increases the air flow by 50% compared to low speed, ideal during allergy season. To return to automatic mode, press the icon again.
Why does my air purifier make a sound like a clockwork mechanism?
This noise is normal and indicates that the PlasmaTRUE™ feature is activated. It produces an ionized field to eliminate pollutants.
The filter indicator stays on after replacement, what should I do?
Reset the indicator by following the procedure: press the replacement icon for 3 seconds, select the filter, then hold for 3 to 5 seconds until the beep. If the problem persists, repeat the operation.
Can I wash and reuse the True HEPA or carbon filters?
No, the True HEPA and carbon filters are not washable. They must be replaced according to the recommended schedule (annually for HEPA, every 3 months for carbon) to maintain efficiency.
What is the power supply required for the Fellowes AeraMax DX95?
The device operates on a 120 V AC, 60 Hz power outlet with a polarized plug. Do not use with other voltages.
How often should I replace the filters on my air purifier?
Under normal conditions, replace the True HEPA filter every 12 months and the carbon filter every 3 months. The replacement indicators alert you when necessary.
What is PlasmaTRUE™ technology and how does it work?
The PlasmaTRUE™ technology creates an ionized field that helps safely suppress air pollutants. It works in conjunction with the filters to improve purification.
