How to format the microSD card in the Nextbase 612GW?

Go to the Settings menu (screen 1), select Format SD Card. Confirm to erase all data. It is recommended to format every 2 weeks for stable performance.

What to do if the touch screen stops responding?

The screen is capacitive: use brief taps with your bare finger. It does not work with a stylus or gloves. If the problem persists, press the Reset button located at the bottom of the device.

How to activate Parking mode?

In the Settings menu screen 1, enable Parking Mode. When the ignition is turned off, the dashcam goes into standby and automatically records 30 seconds if motion is detected.

Why does my battery only last 15 minutes?

This is normal: the 260 mAh internal battery is designed only for the automatic shutdown function in case of power loss, it does not replace the car power cable.

How to connect the dashcam to my smartphone via Wi-Fi?

Press the Wi-Fi icon for 3 seconds in the main menu. On your smartphone, connect to the dashcam's Wi-Fi network (SSID and password displayed on the screen). Open the NEXTBASE Cam Viewer app to view and download files.

Why is the displayed time incorrect?

The dashcam sets the time automatically via GPS based on the selected country. Check the country in Settings screen 4. If necessary, choose Other and then manually set the time zone.

Which microSD card should I use?

Use a U3 type microSD card, capacity from 32 to 128 GB. For 4K recording, 64 GB or more is recommended. Cards from recognized brands offer the best performance.

How to protect a recording from deletion?

During recording, press the Lock button on the side of the dashcam. The accelerometer also automatically protects 30 seconds (10 before, 20 after) in case of impact. Protected files go into the Protected folder.

What to do if the suction cup does not stick to the windshield?

Remove the protective film from the suction cup, moisten it slightly, clean the windshield with a clean cloth. Lower the lever completely before applying, then push it upward to lock. Avoid textured surfaces.

How to update the dashcam firmware?

Download the latest version from www.nextbase.com. Copy the file to a microSD card formatted in FAT32. Insert the card into the dashcam while it is off, then turn it on. The update starts automatically. Keep the device plugged in during the operation.
