How to use the Tomado TM9027 coffee machine?

Pour water into the tank, add ground coffee into the filter holder, place the carafe on the hot plate, press the On/Off switch to start. The red indicator lights up. Wait until the cycle ends, then turn off the appliance.

What to do if the coffee maker does not turn on?

Check that the plug is connected and the voltage matches the indicated (220-240 V). Make sure the switch is pressed. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

How to clean the machine?

Wipe the exterior with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh or abrasive products. Do not immerse the appliance in water. The carafe and filter holder can be hand washed.

Why is the coffee flowing slowly?

This may be due to a too fine filter or too much ground coffee. Use a suitable grind and do not exceed the recommended amount. Regular descaling can also improve the flow.

Does the hot plate stay on all the time?

No, the hot plate automatically turns off after a certain time for safety reasons. As long as the machine is on, it keeps the coffee warm.

Can I use capsule coffee?

No, this machine is designed only for ground coffee. Do not use capsules, pods, or other types of coffee.

How to descale the machine?

Although not described in the user manual, regular descaling is recommended to avoid damage. Use a descaling agent suitable for coffee machines and follow the product instructions. Rinse thoroughly with clear water.

What if the carafe overflows?

Make sure the carafe is correctly positioned on the hot plate and the anti-drip system is working. Do not fill the tank beyond the indicated capacity. Check that the filter is not clogged.

Can I leave the coffee maker on unattended?

No, it is not recommended to leave the appliance on unattended. The hot plate turns off automatically, but always follow the safety instructions in the manual.

How to change the filter?

This machine does not use a permanent filter. Use paper filters of standard size for drip coffee. Place the filter in the filter holder before adding ground coffee.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

• Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
• Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10cm free space around the device. This device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outside use.
• Put the power cable into the socket. (Note: Make sure the voltage which is indicated on the device matches the local voltage before connecting the device. Voltage 220V240V 50/60Hz)
  For a perfect taste, carry out 2 or 3 boil processes with fresh water (without coffee). Once all the water has passed through, switch the appliance off and let it cool down during 5 minutes. Then repeat the process with fresh water.

USE

• Pour the desired volume of water into the water reservoir. The number of cups can be read on the water level indicator.
• Add the desired quantity of ground coffee. Replace the filter holder. To switch on, press the on/off button, the coffee maker will start working and the red pilot light will light on.
  Make sure the glass can is placed correctly on the hotplate.
• When you remove the can from the appliance, a nondrip valve will automatically operate to stop any drops of coffee dripping onto the hotplate. Replacement of the

can automatically open the non-drip valve and allows any remaining coffee to filter through into the can.

• Wait until the brewing process is finished and the filter is empty. To switch off the coffee machine, press the on/off button.. The red pilot light will go off to indicate that the coffee maker has been switched off.
• The jar can remain on the hotplate, which begins to heat up as soon as the coffee maker is switched on. The hotplate will keep the coffee hot until the coffee maker is switched off (NOTE: due to safety reasons the hot plate will turn off automatically after a while).

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Wipe the outside with only a slightly moistened cloth ensuring that no moisture, oil or grease enters the cooling slots.
• Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the device.
• Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid. The device is not dishwasher proof.

Warranty regulations

TOMADO provides a 2-year warranty for all defects caused by hidden deficiencies which render the appliance useless for normal operation.
The warranty runs from the date of purchase; we advise you to carefully save your receipt.
- Within the warranty period any defects in production or material will be resolved free of charge, by means of reparation, replacement of parts or replacement of the appliance as a whole.
- The warranty certificate has to be filled in by the sales person at the moment of purchase.
- Repairs will only be made under warranty in case it can proven (by means of a filled in warranty card and the receipt) that the day the complaint is filed falls into the warranty period.
- The warranty does not apply when defects or damages result from an accident, misuse, negligence (e.g. incorrect cleansing), or when repairs of alterations have been executed outside the authorized TOMADO service centre (excl. disassembling, as stated in the instruction manual).
- The warranty does not cover any defects arising when the appliance is connected to the wrong outlet voltage, not following the guidelines in the instruction manual and usual wear and tear.
The warranty does not cover any defects arising from the lack of frequent descaling of appliances, whatever type of water has been used (especially for steam irons, coffee machines and water boilers).

TOMADO cannot be held responsible for any material damage or personal accident resulting from connecting the appliance in breach of the locally applicable safety regulations and technical standards (for instance an inferior AC outlet). The warranty under no circumstances grants the right for any compensation.
- All other claims, including damages, are excluded unless the Law states otherwise.
- Other warranty regulations than the warranty regulations stated above are not applicable.

What do you do in case your appliance does not work?

When your appliance shows defects, you can refer to your salesperson. Your salesperson will make sure any defect will be repaired as soon as possible.
