These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residentialinstallation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiateradiofrequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. YourTabletPCmaybesuppliedwithaninternalmodemwhichcomplieswithPart68ofthe FCFrules.OnthisTabletPCisalabelthatcontainstheFCCRegistrationNumberandthe RingerEquivalenceNumber(REN)forthisequipmentamongotherinformation.Ifrequested, theusermustprovidetheirtelephonecompanywiththefollowinginformation:

1. ThetelephonenumbertowhichtheTabletPCisconnected.
2. The RingerEquivalenceNumber(REN) forthisequipment.
3. The equipment requires standard modular jacktype USOCRJ-11C which is FCCPart68 compliant.
   4.TheFCCRegistrationNumber.

Thisequipmentisdesignedtobecountedtothetelephonenumberworkorpremiseswiringusing a standard modular jack type USOC RJ-11C which is FCC Part 68 compliant and a line cord betweenthemodemandthetelephonenumbernetworkwithaminimumof26AWG.

TheRENisusedtodeterminethenumberofdevicessthatyoumayconnecttoyourtelephone lineandstillhaveallofthosedevicesringwhenyournumberiscalled.Toomanydevices ononelinemayresultinfailuretoringinresponsetoanincomingcall.Inmost,butnotall, areas the sum of the RENs of all of the devices should not exceed five (5). To be certain ofthenumberofdevicesyoumayconnecttoyourline,asdeterminedbytheRENs,contact yourlocaltelephonecompany.Ifthisequipmentcausessharmtothetelephonenumber,your telephonecompanymaydiscontinueyourservicetemporarily.Ifpossible,theywillnotifyyou inadvance.Ifadvancenoticeisnotpracticaltheywillnotifyyouassoonaspossible.You will also be advised of your right to file a complaint with the FCC.

ThisfaxmodemalsocomplieswithfaxbrandingrequirementsperFCCPart68.

Yourtelephonecompanywillprobablyaskyoutodisconnectthisequipmentfromthetelephone networkkuntiltheproblemiscorrectedandyouaresurethattheequipmentisnotmalfunctioning. Thisequipmentmaynotbeusedoncoin-operatedtelephonesprovidedbyyourtelephone company.Connectiontopartylinesissubjecttostatetariffs.Contactyourstate'spublicutility commission,publicservicecommissionorcorporationcommissionformoreinformation.

FCC rules prohibit the use of non-hearing aid compatible telephones in the followinglocationsorapplications:

• Allpublicershipubliccoin-operatedorcreditcardtelephones.
  Elevators, highways, tunnels (automobile, subway, railroad or pedestrian) where a personwithimpairedhearingmightbeisolatedinanemergency.

• Places where telephones are specifically installed to alert emergency authorities such as fire, police or medical assistance personnel.

• Public transportation terminals where telephones are used to call taxisor toreservelodgingorrentalcars.

• Inhoteland motelroomsasatleasttenpercentoftheroomsmustcontainhearing aid-compatibletelephonesorjacksforplug-inhearingaidcompatibletelephoneswhich willbeprovidedtohearingimpairedcustomersonrequest.

This radiodevicehasbeenevaluatedunderFCCBulletinOET65Candfoundcompliantwiththe requirementsassetforthinCFR47Sections2.1091,2.1093,and15.247(b)(4)addressingRF Exposure from radio frequency devices. The radiated output power of this radio device is far below the FCC radio frequency exposure limits. Nevertheless, this device shall be used in such a manner that the potential for human contact during normal operationisminimized. Whensingthisdevice, a certain separation distance between antenna and nearby persons mustbemaintainedtoensureRF exposurecompliance. InordertocomplywithRFexposurelimitsestablishedtheANSIC95.1 standards, the distance between the antennas and the user should not be less than 20 cm (8 inches).
