These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residentialinstallation. - ThetelephonenumbertowhichtheTabletPCisconnected.
- The RingerEquivalenceNumber(REN) forthisequipment.
- The equipment requires standard modular jacktype USOCRJ-11C which is FCCPart68 compliant.
4.TheFCCRegistrationNumber.
Thisequipmentisdesignedtobecountedtothetelephonenumberworkorpremiseswiringusing a standard modular jack type USOC RJ-11C which is FCC Part 68 compliant and a line cord betweenthemodemandthetelephonenumbernetworkwithaminimumof26AWG.
TheRENisusedtodeterminethenumberofdevicessthatyoumayconnecttoyourtelephone lineandstillhaveallofthosedevicesringwhenyournumberiscalled.Toomanydevices ononelinemayresultinfailuretoringinresponsetoanincomingcall.Inmost,butnotall, areas the sum of the RENs of all of the devices should not exceed five (5). To be certain ofthenumberofdevicesyoumayconnecttoyourline,asdeterminedbytheRENs,contact yourlocaltelephonecompany.Ifthisequipmentcausessharmtothetelephonenumber,your telephonecompanymaydiscontinueyourservicetemporarily.Ifpossible,theywillnotifyyou inadvance.Ifadvancenoticeisnotpracticaltheywillnotifyyouassoonaspossible.You will also be advised of your right to file a complaint with the FCC.
ThisfaxmodemalsocomplieswithfaxbrandingrequirementsperFCCPart68.
Yourtelephonecompanywillprobablyaskyoutodisconnectthisequipmentfromthetelephone networkkuntiltheproblemiscorrectedandyouaresurethattheequipmentisnotmalfunctioning.
