- If you have already lightly oiled the stone grill plate 1 (see “6.1 Preparing the appliance” on page 45), do not use any additional fat or oil when using the stone grill plate 1 for grilling.
- As the stone grill plate 1 gets very hot and retains a lot of heat, it is well suited to meat.
- The stone grill plate 1 is especially well suited to steaks, fried meats, sausages, gammon and poultry.
- The stone grill plate 1 may change colour slightly over time. This will not effect the performance. RP100110 Raclette mit heißem Stein LB1 Seite 46 Freitag, 13. Juni 2014 3:02 15SRGS1300B2 47
- The stone grill plate 1 takes about 30 minutes to become hot enough. You can shorten this time by preheating the stone grill plate in the oven. Warning! The preheated stone grill plate 1 is hot. Therefore, take care not to burn yourself on it. Use oven gloves or cloths to touch it.

- The basic recipe for raclette is: a few thin slices of boiled potato topped with vegetables, meat or sausage, topped with a slice of cheese.
- Do not be afraid to try out any recipe ideas you may have.
- Season and flavour your dishes as you wish.
- The following cheeses are well suited to raclette: Raclette, Appenzeller, Emmenthal and Tilsit.
- Where possible, prepare all ingredients before the meal. However, do not wash and cut the ingredients too early, as the goal is to keep them fresh.
- Chopped ingredients should be cut to the same size, so that they cook in the same time.
- Use ingredients with short cooking times, where possible.
- Vegetables can also be pre-cooked, e.g. on the stone grill plate 1.
- Do not lay the ingredients too thickly onto the grill, as it gives off a lot of heat, and the vegetables should remain fresh.
- When grilling sausages, prick them beforehand so they do not burst and squirt fat.
- When grilling meat on the stone grill plate 1 a sprinkling of salt on the stone before cooking prevents the meat from sticking. This does not replace seasoning the meat.
- Vegetables, if cut thinly, will cook very successfully on the stone grill plate 1.

This may damage the appliance and the coated surface of the grill plate 2 and raclette pans 8. Note: Don’t wait too long to wash after cooling so that the food remains don’t dry on and become difficult to remove.
