USER MANUAL Aquacorner 60 EHEIM
INSTRUCTIONS WARNING- To guard against injury, basic safety precautions should be observed, including the following.

WARNING! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! This pump has not been investigated for use in swimming pools areas! DO NOT RUN DRY! USAREAD AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS. – DANGER. To avoid possible electric shock, special care should be taken since water is employed in the use of aquarium equipment. For each of the following situations, do not attempt repairs by yourself; return the appliance to an autho- rized service facility for service or discard the appliance. – If the appliance falls into the water DON’T reach for it. First unplug the appli- ance immediately (Nonimmersible equipment only) – If the appliance shows any sign of abnormal water leakage, immediately unplug it from the power source. – Carefully examine the appliance after installation. It should not be plug- ged in if there is water on parts not intended to be wet. – Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, or if it’s malfunctioning or if it is dropped or damaged in any manner. – Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it will not be tripped over or pulled. – To avoid the possibility of the appliance plug or receptacle getting wet, position aquarium stand and tank to one side of a wall mounted receptacle to prevent water from dripping onto the receptacle or plug. A “drip loop”, shown in the fi- gure, should be arranged by the user for each cord connecting the aquarium ap- pliance to a receptacle. The “drip loop” is that part of the cord below the level of the receptacle, to prevent water travelling along the cord and coming in contact with the receptacle. If the plug or receptacle does get wet, DON’T unplug the cord; disconnect the fuse or circuit breaker that supplies power to the appliance. Then unplug and examine for presence of water in the receptacle. – Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. – To avoid injury, do not contact moving parts. – Always unplug an appliance from an outlet when not in use, before put- ting or taking off parts, and before cleaning. Never yank cord to pull plug from outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to disconnect. – Do not use an appliance for other than intended use. The use of attach- ments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition. – Do not install or store the appliance where it will be exposed to the we- ather or to temperatures below freezing. – Make sure an appliance mounted on a tank is securely installed before operating it. – Read and observe all the important notices on the appliance and its cord. – If an extension cord is necessary, a cord with a proper rating should be used. A cord rated for less amperes or watts than the appliance rating may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it will not be tripped over or pulled. AQUARIUM TANK APPLIANCE POWER SUPPLY CORD DRIP LOOP– Check that the voltage shown on the label of the unit corresponds to the voltage of the mains supply. – Disconnect all electrical appliances from the mains beforeplacing hands in the water. – The line cord of this unit cannot be replaced or repaired. Should the line cord become damaged the appliance must be discarded.

English Safety instructions Before putting the aquarium into operation, be sure to carefully read through the entire Operating Instructions and keep them handy for fu- ture reference. For indoor use only. For use with aquariums. All electrical equipment in the water must be disconnected from the mains during care and maintenance work. To protect against contact voltage being too high, the fixture must have a residual current device with a rated release fault current not exceeding 30 mA. Ask your elec- trician. The connecting line of this device can not be replaced. When the line is damaged, the device must no longer be used. Never carry the pump by the cable; do not bend the cable. Only use filter in water: The pump must be positioned beneath the surface of the water. This equipment can be used by children above the age of 8 or by per- sons with reduced physical, mental or sensory capacities or a lack of experience or knowledge, provided they are supervised or have re- ceived instruction in the safe use of the equipment and therefore un- derstand the risks involved. Do not allow children to play with this equipment. Do not allow children to clean or conduct user mainten- ance without supervision. Notice: These devices produce magne- tic fields which might cause electronic and mechanical disturbances or damages. This also refers to pacemakers. Please consult the manuals of medical equipment for the required safety margins. For your own safety, we recommend to form a drip loop with the con- nection cable to prevent any water running along the cable from in- truding into the socket. When using a multiple socket or an external power supply unit, position them atop the filter’s power connection. The pump should not run dry. Temperature range from +4°C up to max. +35°C. The motor is protected from overheating. Do not clean the unit – or parts of it – in the dishwater. Not dishwater resistant. 20 cmFunction

until it clicks into place. Insert the two nibs of the filter lid
into the grooves on the bottom of the filter housing
and shut filter lid.
Install the interior filter on the left or right back corner of the aquarium with the suspension bracket
. Put into operation by plugging in the mains plug. Important: The pump must not run dry! A Assembly / Putting into operation Do not dispose of this product as normal household waste. Take it to your local refuse collection site.
Disconnect the filter from the mains, and then pull upwards out of the tank.

Then clean the mediabox and wash out the filter cartridge. Only rinse off slightly the EHEIM SUBSTRATpro biological filtering ma- terial und lukewarm water so as to preserve the bacterial lawn and to accelerate its redevelopment. After the second or third cleaning, replace two-thirds of the filter material with new EHEIM SUB- STRATpro. Mix the rest of the used filter material with the new material so that the bacteria cultures multiply faster. After the second or third cleaning, replace the filter cartridge. Important: Do not overfill the mediabox, as otherwise it will no longer fit precisely. B Cleaning
