- Introduction

We congratulate you on the purchase of your new product. You have chosen a high quality product. The instructions for use are part of the product. They contain important information concerning safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all of the safety information and instructions for use. Only use the product as described and for the specified applications. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.
- Intended use
This speaker, a consumer electronic, is intended to render audio transmitted via Bluetooth® or jack lead. The buttons built into the speaker allow you to select the piece of music from the playlist selected on the playback device. They are further used to adjust the volume of the speaker. The built-in rechargeable battery allows for cordless operation. The stereo jack also allows it to be used as a speaker for devices which do not support wireless transmission via Bluetooth®.
The product is designed for private use, including outdoors, and must not be used for commercial purposes.
Any other use is considered improper. Any claims resulting from improper use or due to unauthorised modification of the speaker will be considered unwarranted. Any such use is at your own risk.

Risk of suffocation! Packaging material (i.e film or polystyrene) should not be used to play with. Always keep children away from the packaging material. The packaging material is not a toy.
- Keep electrical devices away from children. People with sensory, motor, mental and physical impairments should not use the electrical device, unless they are instructed and supervised by a responsible person. This product is not a toy!
RISK OF DAMAGE
This product does not contain any parts which can be serviced by the user. The rechargeable battery cannot be replaced.
- Check the product before every use! Discontinue use if any damage to the device or the charging cable is detected!
If you notice anything unusual during use (e.g. unusual noise, strange odour or smoke), switch the device off immediately and disconnect all cables. Do not use the device anymore.
■ Sudden temperature changes may cause condensation inside the device. In this case, allow the
device to acclimate for some time before using it again!
- Do not place burning candles or open fire on or near the speakers.
- Do not use the product near heat sources such as radiators or other devices emitting heat!
- Do not throw the speaker into fire and do not expose to high temperatures.
■ Please note, when the protective cover 4 is open, the device is not protected from water entering the device. In this case, only use the device in a dry environment.
■ The speakers shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing when the protective cover 4 is open.
■ Only charge the speakers in a dry environment.

■ Never open the housing of the speakers! It has no internal parts requiring maintenance.

Wireless interface
Switch the device off on airplanes, in hospitals, service rooms, or near medical electronic systems. The wireless signals transmitted could impact the functionality of sensitive electronics. Keep the device at least 20 cm from pacemakers or implantable cardioverter defibrillators, as the electromagnetic radiation may impair the functionality of pacemakers. The radio waves transmitted could cause interference in hearing aids. Do not place the device near flammable gasses or
potentially explosives areas (e.g. paint shops) with the wireless components on, as the radio waves emitted can cause explosions and fire.
ATTENTION!
The range of the radio waves varies by environmental conditions. In the event of wireless data transmission, unauthorised third parties receiving the data cannot be excluded. OWIM GmbH & Co KG is not responsible for interference with radios or televisions due to unauthorised modification of the device. OWIM GmbH & Co KG further assumes no liability for using or replacing cables and devices not distributed by OWIM. The user of the device is fully responsible for correcting interference caused by such unauthorised modification of the device, as well as replacement of such devices.

Safety instructions for rechargeable batteries
■ The user may not open the housing.
■ The loudspeaker by no means may be thrown into open fire, there exists a danger of explosion.
■ The loudspeaker my not be covered while charging.
If liquids leak from the loudspeaker, these may not come into contact with the skin, eyes or the mucous membranes, there exists the danger of chemical burns. Corresponding protective gloves have to be used.
If the skin, eyes or the mucous membranes have come into contact with the liquid, the concerned spots have to be washed with water and a doctor has to be saught immediately
Before use
Before use, verify the package contents are complete and undamaged!
☐ Attach the wrist strap 6 to the loop 5. Place the wrist strap around your wrist when transporting the device.
Place the device on a level, even surface for operation. When doing so, place the wrist strap under the device to prevent it from rolling.
Charging
☐ The integrated rechargeable battery must be charged prior to first use.
☐ When the integrated rechargeable battery is drained, a signal will notification sound every 2 minutes and power LED 2 will light up red. The integrated rechargeable battery should then be charged as soon as possible.
☐ Depending on the volume and the age of the battery, the operating time for the device is approx. 5 hours when fully charged.
Open the protective cover 4.
☐ Insert the micro-USB plug of the charging cable 12 into the micro-USB socket 8 of the Bluetooth ^® speaker. Insert the USB plug of the charging cable into the USB port on a PC or a USB adapter (not included in scope of delivery).
Note: The signal LED 2 will light up red whilst charging and goes out once charging is completed. The charging time for a drained battery is approx. 4 hours.
Note: The speaker may be used whilst charging. However, doing so will at a minimum double the charging time.
Once charging is complete, remove the micro-USB plug of the charging cable and close the protective cover so the device is splash-proof again.
- Using the Bluetooth® speaker
Establishing a Bluetooth ^® connection:
Remove all plugs from the AUX stereo jack 7 before you establish Bluetooth® radio link.
☐ Press and hold the Bluetooth button 3 until 3 second the signal LED 2 flashes blue and a signal of sound sequence. The speaker will now attempt to connect to the playback device (e.g. smartphone or computer).
☐ Switch on the playback device and approve the connection. Please note the requirements of the software on the playback device. The signal LED will light up blue and a “Dood” signal sound.
☐ The speaker identification on the playback device will be SBL 6 B2.
☐ The maximum range of the connection is approx. 10 m, but may be reduced to the geometry of the space (obstructing furniture, walls, etc.).
The playback device must support Bluetooth® standard 4.2. Otherwise you may not be able to use all the functions listed below.
Functions of the buttons on the Bluetooth® speaker
Start a playlist on your playback device. Set the volume on the playback device to Maximum. The volume on the Bluetooth ^® speaker can be adjusted as described below. Music is played back through the speakers 1.
The Bluetooth ^® speaker has 4 buttons. These control the following functions:

UseBluetooth speaker via AUX stereo jack
Note: Music playback via cable takes priority over music playback via Bluetooth®. Music playback from a Bluetooth® source is therefore interrupted once the jack lead 13 is plugged into the jack 7. The signal LED 2 lights up green.
□ Music playback via the AUX stereo jack is prioritized over playback via Bluetooth®.
☐ Switch on the sound source.
If the Bluetooth ^® speaker is off, press and hold the ▶ button 10 until the signal LED light green and a signal of sound sequence.
Start playback on the sound source and adjust the volume to the highest possible volume. Adjust the volume on the speaker using the +→ button 9 (up) or the ← button 11 (down).
☐ Start playing music on the sound source.
- Switching between AUX-in connection and the Bluetooth® connection
Aux-in connection has a higher priority over the Bluetooth ^® connection as following:
Once the jack lead 13 is plugged into the jack 7, the Bluetooth® wireless connection is disconnected. The music playback is switched to AUX-in only and the signal LED 2 lights up green.
- Cleaning
■ Switch the device off, remove all plugs, and close the protective cover 4 before cleaning!
☐ Only clean the outside of the device using a soft, dry cloth!
● Storage during non-use
■ Store the product in a dry environment when not in use. Protect it from dust and direct sunlight. The rechargeable battery needs to be charged regularly.

○ If necessary, unplug the jack plug from the jack 7.
○ Switch the Bluetooth ^® speaker off and on again, increase the volume.
- Playback device error.
Check if the Bluetooth® speaker was detected by the playback device.
Check if the playback device detects other devices with Bluetooth® Standard 4.2.
No music playback via Bluetooth®
Error operating the speakers.
- Check if a jack plug is inserted in the jack and remove, if applicable.
○ Switch the Bluetooth ^® speaker off and on again.
Press the Bluetooth® button 3 to start a new connection process. Then you need to rebuild the Bluetooth connection to your player.
Press and hold the + button 9 to increase the volume.
Error operating the playback device.
○ Increase the volume on the playback device.
● No music playback via cable connection
Error connecting the cable.
○ Reconnect the cable to the playback device.
- Disposal
Packaging:
The packaging is made of environmentally friendly materials, which may be disposed of through your local recycling facilities.
Product:
Contact your municipality for information on how to dispose of your worn-out product.

states at the end of the life this device must not be disposed of through regular household refuse but must be returned to special collection sites, recycling depots or waste management companies.
This disposal is free of charge to you.
Protect the environment and dispose of properly.
The product is recyclable, subject to extended manufacturer responsibility, and collected separately.
The built-in rechargeable battery cannot be removed for disposal. Return the product completely to a collection site for used electronics.

- Warranty
The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery.
In the event of product defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.
The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. Should this product show any fault in
materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you.
The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase. This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.
The warranty applies to defects in material or manufacture. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries or glass parts.
