What does error code E3 mean on the Cecotec Cremmaet Compactccino Connected coffee machine and how can it be resolved?
Frequently Asked Questions - 25/04/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The error code E3 on the Cecotec Cremmaet Compactccino Connected coffee machine generally indicates a problem related to the temperature sensor or the heating system of the device. Here’s how to diagnose and resolve this issue:

Troubleshooting steps for error code E3

  • Restarting the machine: Turn off the machine, unplug it, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on to see if the error disappears.
  • Checking the water level: Ensure that the water tank is filled to the recommended level. An insufficient water level can prevent proper heating.
  • Cleaning the machine: Clean the tank, filters, and conduits to avoid any blockage or buildup of residues that could disrupt operation.
  • Checking for blockages: Inspect the coffee outlet and steam nozzle for any blockages that could affect heating.
  • Cooling time: If the machine has been used intensively, allow it to cool down for a while before using it again.

If after these checks the error E3 persists, it is likely that an internal component, such as the temperature sensor or heating element, requires technical intervention or replacement.

What material is the grinder of the Cecotec Cremmaet Compactccino Connected coffee machine made of?
Frequently Asked Questions - 28/03/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The grinder of the Cecotec Cremmaet Compactccino Connected coffee machine is made of stainless steel, a professional-grade material. This metal alloy is chosen for its exceptional durability, corrosion resistance, and inability to transfer tastes or odors to the ground coffee.

This machine features a conical burr grinder, recognized as one of the best grinding systems for coffee machines. The conical burr operation (rather than blades) ensures a consistent and uniform grind, essential for achieving a consistent quality of coffee extraction. This system grinds the coffee beans progressively and controlled, crushing the beans rather than chopping them.

The grinder offers 5 adjustable grind levels, allowing it to be adapted to different types of coffee (fine, medium, or coarse) and your personal preferences. This flexibility, combined with the precision of stainless steel grinding, optimizes coffee extraction and prevents premature oxidation caused by uneven grinding.

Thanks to its stainless steel construction, the grinder ensures a long lifespan and requires little maintenance. Stainless steel naturally resists kitchen moisture and coffee oils, thus avoiding rapid wear and the need for early replacement. Regular maintenance (about once a week) with the provided cleaning tablet helps keep the grinder in excellent working condition.

Response Notice-Facile

The Cecotec Cremmaet Compactccino Connected coffee machine is equipped with an integrated conical grinder. This type of grinder is known for providing a uniform grind, which is essential for achieving optimal coffee quality.

Adjusting the steam level in the cappuccinatore

Fig. 5 and 6

  1. Remove the cappuccinatore from the appliance by pressing on both release tabs on the sides and pulling downwards.
  2. At the top, you will see a circular knob with the letters H and L, and an arrow. Turn the steam knob to the desired side until the H matches the arrow. This will increase the steam flow and improve milk frothing.
  3. Put the cappuccinatore back in place, aligning it in its natural position in the appliance and pushing it upwards. You will hear a click.

Adjusting the grinding level

Fig. 3

WARNING: When you need to adjust the grind level of the coffee beans, adjust the grinding level knob when the grinder is in operation; otherwise, the grinder may be damaged.

Adjust the grinding level according to the degree of roast of the coffee beans you use (medium roast beans are recommended). If the coffee comes out too slowly during preparation (the coffee powder is too fine), turn the grinding level knob clockwise until a coarser grind is obtained, like shown in figure 3. If during preparation the coffee comes out too fast and too clear (the coffee powder is too coarse), turn the grinding level knob counterclockwise until a finer grind is obtained.

If the coffee powder is too coarse, turn the grinding level knob counterclockwise for a finer grind; if the coffee powder is too fine, turn the grinding level knob clockwise for a coarser grind.

Points to consider:

  1. The knob is set to the maximum value during the first few uses. It is recommended to adjust it after the first 100-150 cups. The more repetitive the grinding process is, the more the grinder will be adjusted and the less imperfections will be found in the future.
  2. Do not overfill the coffee bean container or leave the coffee beans inside for a long time so that they do not get too wet and lose freshness (especially on humid days). Moisture will affect the grind, brew and taste of the coffee.
  3. If the coffee beans are wet, empty the container and fill it with fresh coffee beans for better taste. Turn the grind level knob to maximum and try grinding the coffee beans. If the coffee machine is working properly, return the knob to its original position. This will check if there are any beans left inside.
  4. If the coffee beans do not grind properly, it is possible that the coffee beans are too wet or that there is too much coffee bean oil accumulated inside. In the latter case, add grinder cleaner to the bean container and try grinding again.

Cleaning the cappuccinatore

Fig. 1, 5 and 6

A metal brush specially designed to clean the milk and cappuccinatore spouts is included with the coffee machine, the plastic brush and the O-rings, as the milk can dry out relatively easily and clog the duct.

WARNING: The cappuccinatore must be cleaned with milk after each use, if it is not to be used for a day or more. The milk can dry out inside and the ducts can become clogged, leading to poor foaming, bad odours or a shortened lifetime of the appliance.

The cappuccinatore can be cleaned manually or using detergent. To carry out the cleaning, follow the instructions below.

Cleaning with detergent

1) Connect the milk tube to the tank lid and to the cappuccinatore.
2) Separate the milk tube and the lid from the tank to clean it separately.
3) Place the milk tube and the lid in a container with detergent.
4) Turn the appliance on and press the milk icon for 3 seconds to allow the milk tube to suck in the detergent and allow it to run through the internal ducts.

NOTE: If the appliance has not been cleaned for a long time, you will notice that the resulting liquid contains whitish solid residues. Do not worry, it is the remains of milk that have solidified inside the cappuccinatore.

ENGLISH

5) Repeat the process until the resulting liquid is as clear as possible.
6) When finished, repeat the process again using only water in the container until all traces of detergent have been removed from the inside of the cappuccinatore and the ducts.
7) Reassemble the entire tank and enjoy your frothed coffee.

Manual cleaning

1) Remove the cappuccinatore from the appliance. To do so, you will have to press both release tabs on the sides and pull downwards.
2) You will notice that the cappuccinatore is composed of three parts: a small hard plastic frame, a steam knob, and a rubber part in which the steam knob is placed. You can separate the rubber part from the frame by pulling outwards. Do this.
3) Once you have these two parts separated, pull the steam knob outwards to remove it.
4) With the three parts separated and differentiated, use the metal cleaning accessory to insert it into as many holes as possible and manually descale the solidified milk residues. In addition, use detergent and plenty of water to get all three parts clean inside and out.
5) When finished, reassemble the three parts in reverse order of disassembly.

NOTE: Also, make sure to clean the tube that connects the milk tank to the cappuccinatore. There may be solidified milk residues.
