SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Please read all the instructions before using this device, they include important information on its correct operation. In cases of damage incurred by disregarding this instruction manual, the warranty is void.

We do not accept any liability for any damage in consequence! We do not accept liability for any damage to property or personal injury caused by improper handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! Any warranty claim will be void in this case.

• For safety and licensing (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modifications to the product are not permitted.
• The product complies with the requirements of protection type IP 40 (protection against solid objects with diameter above 1.0mm and protection against intrusion with a wire according to DIN EN 60529). This is why you should never open the housing, as this protection may no longer be guaranteed.
• To avoid eye injuries, do not look at the light source or point the light at persons or animals.
• The product should be kept out of the reach of children! There is a risk for a fatal electric shock.
• Do not carelessly leave the packaging material lying around since this may become a dangerous toy for children.
• The product shall not be operated under adverse circumstances such as: Temperatures above 50^ , inflammable gas, solvents, vapors, dust.
• If there can be assumed that operation of the unit under safe circumstances is no longer possible, unplug the unit immediately and make sure that it not put into operation inadvertently. Operating the unit becomes unsafe when the unit does not show any signs of working or has been visibly damaged, when damage has occurred during transport of after storing the unit under unfavorable circumstances.
  Service and repairs must be conducted by authorized personnel only.

INTENDED USE

This LED work lamp is designed for portable illumination of in- and outdoor areas.

Any other use than those described above may cause damage to the product. Moreover, this can involve hazards such as short-circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be modified or rebuilt!

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This lamp provides all features an ideal work lamp needs: long lifetime, useful features, robust housing, easy operation, practical accessories.

The bright 3 W LED generates a good light for working and at the same time offers 3.5 hours of operating time at full power. If you need lower light intensity, the runtime can be prolonged by using the two lower performance levels.

The swivel lamp head can be used to aim the beam of light directly at your work field. The mounted yellow diffusing plate and the flashing function allow the lamp to be used as signal lamp.

The practical wall mount can be used for safely stowing the lamp and simultaneously for charging. When you are travelling, the lamp can also be charged easily without wall mount using the supplied 230 V or 12 V charging adapters.

The emergency function is an indispensable security factor in the event of a power failure. The work lamp can be used as highly visible warning light when it is in the flashing mode with the (yellow) diffusing plate mounted.

1. Battery is empty if LED 1 flashes red

EMERGENCY LIGHT FUNCTION

In case of power failure, the work lamp switches on automatically, if it is connected to the mains and switched on. If voltage is re-applied, the work lamp switches off automatically. To use this function follow below steps:

1. Connect charging adaptor with charging base and 230V power supply
2. Switch on the work lamp in the desired lighting mode
3. Place the switched on work lamp in the charging base - the lamp switches off

Simulation of the emergency light function

Disconnect the charging adaptor from the 230 V power socket. The work lamp switches on automatically.

ELECTRONIC DEEP DISCHARGE PROTECTION

This work lamp is equipped with an electronic deep discharge protection in order to protect the rechargeable battery. This prolongs the lifetime of the rechargeable battery and protects the environment.

CHARGING THE BATTERY

This work lamp is equipped with a high quality 2,200 mAh Li-ion battery. It can be charged by the 230 V power supply. Alternatively, you can also charge the lamp with the 12 V DC connector in a vehicle. The matching charging adapter is also included in the delivery.

Charging by wall charging base:

1. Connect the charging adaptor with the charging base.
2. Connect the charging adaptor with the right supply voltage source (230 V AC or 12 V DC).
3. Place the lamp in the charging base.

Using the charging socket on the lamp:

1. Connect the charging adaptor with the charging socket of the lamp.
2. Connect the charging adaptor with the right supply voltage source (230 V AC or 12 V DC).

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE LI-ION BATTERY

• Charge the Li-ion battery only with the supplied accessory (charging base and charging adapter)!
• Recharge the battery completely before the initial use and after a long time of storage!
• A Li-ion battery reaches its full capacity only after 4 - 5 charging/discharging cycles.
• Charge the battery always at room temperature (0^ - 45^) .
• Protect the battery against severe cold, heat and direct sunlight. Explosion hazard in extreme cases!
• Strictly protect the battery against damage or short-circuit. Fire and explosion hazard!
• A Li-ion battery has no memory effect. I.e., the battery must not be discharged completely before charging.
• For storing the lamp, the battery should be discharged to approx. 70% of its total capacity. Then recharge the battery every 6 months.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION NOTE

At the end of its useful life, this product must not be disposed of together with normal household waste, but has to be dropped off at a collection centre for the recycling of electrical and electronic devices. This is indicated by the symbol on the product, on the instruction manual or on the packaging.
