Emptying and maintenance, including re- moval of the dust bag, may only be per- formed by technical specialists wearing suitable personal protective equipment. ● Do not operate the device without the complete filtration system. ● Observe the applicable safety instructions for the mate- rials being vacuumed. 몇 WARNING ● The device must not be used or stored outdoors in wet conditions. ● Apply the parking brake at the steering roller to ensure a secure footing for the de- vice. The device may move uncontrollably if the parking brake is open. 몇 CAUTION ● In case of longer breaks in operation and after use, switch off the de- vice at the power switches and unplug the mains plug. Behaviour in case of filter breakage / leakage:

1. Switch off the unit immediately.

The unit may not be operated without the fresh water filter.

2. Replace the filter.

Intended use The device is intended for: ● For extracting dry, non-flammable, de- posited dusts hazardous to health; dust class M according to EN 60335-2-69 Restrictions: Carcinogenic substances must not be vacuumed up. ● For the low-dust disposal of dry or slight- ly damp suction material using a waste hose that can be cut to length ● For industrial use,e.g. in storage and production areas ● For commercial use, e.g. in hotels, schools, hospitals, factories, shops, of- fices, and rental companies. Any other use constitutes improper use. 몇 WARNING Improper use of the device for wet vacu- um cleaning Leakage of vacuumed material that is haz- ardous to health if the waste hose becomes damaged Devices with a waste hose system are not suitable for wet vacuum cleaning. Only use the device for its proper use. Please also note: ● The device is not approved for crane loading. ● The device is not suitable for connection to a dust-generating machine. ● The accessories are not contained in the scope of delivery and must be pur- chased separately depending on the ap- plication. ● The device’s correct function is only guaranteed when using suction hose nominal widths of DN40 and DN50. Environmental protection The packing materials can be recy- cled. Please dispose of packaging in accordance with the environmental regula- tions.14 English Electrical and electronic devices con- tain valuable, recyclable materials and often components such as batteries, rechargeable batteries or oil, which - if han- dled or disposed of incorrectly - can pose a potential danger to human health and the environment. However, these components are required for the correct operation of the device. Devices marked by this symbol are not allowed to be disposed of together with the household rubbish. The maximum vacuum value in relation to the hose cross-section is specified on the label. The actual value can be read on the pressure gauge. For the values applicableEnglish 15 to this device, see chapter Reading the minimum volumetric flow. If this value is not reached, the filter must be cleaned (see chapter Dedusting the filter) or replaced (see chapter Replacing the filter). The var- ious different hose cross-sections allow ad- aptation to the various different connection cross-sections of the accessories. 5. Make sure that the waste hose is fitted

correctly (see chapter Fitting the waste hose).

6. Make sure that the disposal system is

used correctly (see chapter Fitting the disposal system).

7. Attach the desired accessories (not in-

cluded in the scope of delivery) to the suction hose. Fitting the waste hose

1. Remove all 4 loops of the waste hose

2. Open the holder by turning it to the left

and pull it out downwards.

3. Fit the waste hose.

4. Push the holder in and close it by turning

5. Pull the waste hose 40-50 cm down.

6. Seal the end of the waste hose with a

cable tie. Operation The device is suitable for vacuuming fine dust up to dust class M. 몇 WARNING Danger from dust that is harmful to your health Respiratory sicknesses through inhalation of dust. Switching on the device

1. Plug the mains plug into the socket.

2. Switch on the device via the suction tur-

bine power switches. Note Always switch the suction turbines on and off one after the other. For the correct func- tion of the pressure gauge for monitoring the minimum volume flow, all suction tur- bines must be switched on.

3. Start the vacuuming process.

1. Perform the vacuuming process.

The suction material does not fall into the waste hose until the device is switched off. filter (Order no. 9.990-018.0) Waste hose (Order no. 6.907-506.0)16 English Regularly check the filling level in the waste hose because the device does not switch off automatically. Illustration D

2. With light suction material or in the case

of clogging, pull the sheathed cable to open the flap at the outlet (only possible when the device is switched off).

3. Pull the waste hose down somewhat.

4. Close the waste hose using 2 cable ties

at a spacing of 10 cm.

5. Cut the waste hose between the cable

6. Dispose of the waste bag in accordance

with statutory regulations. Note With light suction material, the length of the waste bag can be up to 2 m without the waste bag tearing. Reading the minimum volumetric flow A pressure gauge showing the vacuum in- side the device is mounted on the front of the device. The filter must be cleaned when the maximum vacuum (see table) is reached (see chapter Dedusting the filter). This value depends on the device perfor- mance and the suction hose used. If the vacuum is not significantly reduced by de- dusting, the filter must be replaced (see chapter Replacing the filter). ATTENTION Exceeding the maximum vacuum Suction loss If the specified value is exceeded, the air speed in the suction hose drops below 20 m/s. Clean or replace the filter. Dedusting the filter The filter must be cleaned if the pressure gauge shows the maximum vacuum (see chapter Reading the minimum volumetric flow). Illustration E

1. Vacuum the inside and outside of the de-

vice and clean with a moist cloth. A vacuum cleaner with the same or bet- ter classification must be used for vacu- uming the device.

2. If necessary, rinse the accessories (not

included in the scope of delivery) with water and dry them. Fitting the disposal system 몇 WARNING Fitting the disposal system Risk of crushing Never place your hands between the dis- posal system and the spacer when locking.

Wear a breathing protection mask of class P2 or higher and disposable clothing when performing maintenance work (e.g. filter change). 몇 WARNING Danger from dust that is harmful to your health Respiratory sicknesses through inhalation of dust. Safety devices providing hazard protection must be checked for correct safety-related functionality at least annually by the manu- facturer or an appropriately instruction per- son, e.g. absence of leaks, filter damage, functionality of the monitoring devices. ATTENTION Care agents containing silicone These can attach plastic components. Do not use care agents containing silicone for cleaning. Dust extraction machines are safety devic- es for the prevention or elimination of haz- ards according to the German BGV A1. ● For servicing performed by the user, the device must be disassembled, cleaned and maintained only to the degree that this is possible without presenting a dan- ger to the maintenance personnel and other persons. Suitable precautionary measures include detoxification before disassembly. Make provisions for local forced ventilation at the location where the device is to be disassembled, for cleaning the maintenance surface and18 English to ensure adequate protection for the personnel. ● The exterior of the device should be de- toxified by vacuuming and wiped clean, or treated with sealant before being re- moved from the hazardous area. All de- vice parts must be regarded as contaminated when they are taken from the hazardous area. Suitable measures must be taken to prevent distribution of the dust. ● All contaminated objects resulting from maintenance and repair work that can- not be satisfactorily cleaned must be correctly disposed of. Such objects must be disposed of in sealed bags in accord- ance with the applicable regulations for the disposal of this type of waste. ● The suction hose ports are to be closed using the sealing plugs during transport and maintenance of the device.

tenance and care work yourself.

2. Clean the surface of the device and the

interior of the container regularly with a moist cloth. Inspection and maintenance work Have the device regularly inspected ac- cording to the respective national accident prevention regulations. Maintenance work as specified by the manufacturer must be performed by a technically qualified person at the specified regular intervals and in ac- cordance with the applicable regulations and safety requirements. Work on electrical components may only be performed by a qualified electrician. Please contact a KÄRCHER branch office if you have any questions. Replacing the filter 몇 CAUTION Emission of fine dust when changing the filter Damage to the skin, lungs and eyes through emitted dust Wear the prescribed protective clothing when changing the filter. Change the filter in a suitable maintenance area. Dispose of the filter in accordance with the statutory regulations.

inated filter from the unit, place it in a bag and seal the bag tightly.

9. Check the sealing ring for damage.

10.Remove any dirt deposits from the clean air side. 11.Fit the new filter in reverse order. Make sure that the filter hold-down device is centred in the filter pockets. 12.Fit and lock the spacer. 13.Fit and lock the suction head. Troubleshooting guide DANGER Unintentional start-up of the device / electric shock Unintentional start-up of the suction motor can cause injuries. Voltage present on electrical parts can cause an electric shock. Switch off the device and unplug the mains plug before performing any work on the de- vice. Have all checks and work on electrical parts performed by an qualified technician. Note The device must be switched off immedi- ately in the event of a malfunction. The mal- function must be eliminated before switching the device on again. If the malfunction cannot be corrected, the device must be checked by the Customer Service department.English 19 Suction turbine does not start up
