How to make a bag from a roll of plastic?

Unroll the roll to the desired length, open the side locks, place the end on the sealing bar, lower the lid, lock and press the Vacuum and Seal button. The sealing cycle is performed automatically.

How to vacuum seal food in a ready-made bag?

Place the food in the bag, clean and dry the opening, insert the opening into the vacuum chamber making sure not to block the suction nozzle, lock and press the button. The machine extracts the air then seals automatically.

What to do if the button stays red after use?

The button turns green once the cycle is complete. If it stays red, wait 20 seconds before using again (overheat protection). If the problem persists, unplug and contact after-sales service.

Can I use bags from other brands?

It is recommended to use Jata original rolls or bags to ensure a good seal and optimal vacuum. Unsuitable bags may damage the appliance.

How to clean the appliance?

Always unplug the appliance before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a slightly damp cloth. Never use chemical, abrasive products or metal sponges. Do not immerse the body in water.

What to do if the gaskets are damaged?

The lower and upper gaskets are replaceable. Use the provided spare parts. If you are not comfortable, contact an authorized service center.

Does the appliance get hot during use?

The sealing bar becomes hot during the cycle. Avoid any contact with skin. Let the machine cool for 1 minute between uses to prevent overheating.

Can I seal liquids or moist foods?

Yes, but make sure no liquid comes into direct contact with the suction nozzle. The vacuum chamber collects excess liquid. Wipe the chamber after each use.

What to do if the lid does not close properly?

Check that the side locks are fully open and the bag is not misaligned. Ensure the gaskets are clean and in good condition. If the problem persists, contact technical support.

How to recycle the appliance at end of life?

Do not throw the appliance in the trash. Dispose of it at a recycling center or collection point for electronic waste. This helps protect the environment.

MAIN COMPONENTS AND FUNCTIONS

1. Vacuum and sealed button.
   Pushing it, begins the vacuum operation and it seals automatically when this is completed.
2. Side locks.
3. Air inlet: This connects the vacuum chamber with the pump.
4. Sealing strip: Places the bag to be sealed on this strip.
5. Vacuuming chamber: Positions the bag opening inside the chamber. It attracts the air and collects any liquid that could leak from the bag.
6. Lower gasket: It maintains the air outside forming an air chamber with the top seal. Keep it clean and dry and replace it if any damages or distortions appear.
7. Upper gasket: Keeps the air out forming an air chamber with the lower seal. Keep it clean and dry and replace it if it presents any damages or distortions.
8. Sealing element: Hot resistance with Teflon covering for sealing the bag.
9. Valve.
10. Flange.

INSTRUCTIONS OF USE

• Always use original spare parts.

I. Making a bag with a plastic roll

1. Connect the appliance to the mains. The vacuuming and sealing button will turn green.
2. Pull the roll until the extent desired for the bag and cut.
3. Open the side latches (2) and lift the lid.
4. Place one end of the cut piece on the sealing element (8), snapping the flange (10). Fig 1.
5. Close the top cover and secure the side locks.
6. Press (1) to start sealing the bag. During the process, the button light (1) changes from green to red.
7. Keep hands pressing the top for a better seal as shown in Figure 2. At the end of the process the button light (1) will turn green.
8. Pull slightly the valve (9) to facilitate the opening of the lid.
9. Open the side latches to open the lid and remove the bag. The bag will then be ready for vacuuming and sealing.

II. Vacuum packaging with bag

1. Place the items inside the bag.

2. Clean and stretch the opening of the bag, ensure that there is no dust, waves or wrinkles and have in mind that the sealing area is totally dry.

3. Place the bag opening into the vacuuming chamber (5), fitting into the flange (10). Make sure the air intake (3) is not covered by the bag. Fig. 3

4. Attach side seals and press the button (1).
5. Press the lid down using both hands to facilitate vacuuming. Fig 2
6. The appliance will perform the emptying and will seal the bag automatically. During the process the button (1) starts flashing and immediately will turn red. At the end of the process, it will turn to green.
7. You can cancel the process by pressing again button (1).
8. The vacuum packaging is complete. Remove the side latches (2) to open the lid and remove the bag.

NOTE

• For an improved sealing effect, leave the machine to cool for a minute before using it again. Eliminate any remaining liquid or food from the vacuum chamber before further packing.
• Do not carry out the sealing function continuously to avoid overheating the heating element. The machine will reject the function if the button (1) is activated 20 seconds from the last time.
• The machine is designed to be used with suitable bags. Do not use another type of bag that is not suitable for vacuum packing.
• Cut the bag with scissors to open the sealing area.
• In case of deterioration of the lower seal (6) and upper seal (7), proceed to changing these with the spare parts provided.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

• Before you proceed to cleaning, make sure the appliance is unplugged from the mains.
• Clean with a slightly dampened cloth.
• Do not use abrasive or chemical products, metallic scourers, and such may deteriorate the protection.

• Dispose the appliance according to the local garbage regulations.
• Never throw it away to the rubbish. So you will help to the improvement of the environment.
