HOW TO USE THE TOASTER
Put the toaster on a heat-resistant, level surface.
Plug the appliance in - remember to switch it on. Before using the toaster for the rst me, operate it without bread in order to remove any impurities.
-
Set the mer (5) to 7. Press the ON/OFF lever (3). Shortly aer, the lever will automatically return to the upper posion and the toaster is ready for use.
-
Posion the mer (5) to the browning level you require. There are 7 levels. Level 1 represents the shortest toasng cycle and Level 7 the longest toasng cycle (the darkest). The further up the scale, the longer the toasng cycle. Please note that dry bread requires a shorter toasng cycle than fresh bread.
Put the slices in the slot and depress the lever (3) un it locks in place.
NOTE!
The lever does not lock in place if the toaster is not connected.
- When the toasng cycle is complete, the toasted bread will automatically pop up. The ON/OFF lever (3) goes automatically into the upper posion (OFF) and the toaster is also automatically switched o.
If it is difficult to get the bread out of the toaster, you may use the "high rise" funnel: the ON/OFF lever (3) can be lied further to raise the bread above the edge.
If you want to stop the toasng cycle before the time has elapsed, just press the STOP buon (4).
IMPORTANT: Bread may burn
Consequently, always keep an eye on the toaster and do not put the toaster close to or underneath curtains, kitchen cupboards and other combustible material.
O Be aware that the wires warm up individually when the toaster is switched on and that the red colouring will vary. This is quite normal and has no eect on the result of the toasng process.
FUNCTIONS
The toaster has various funcons and the panel is on the right side of the toaster. The oponents are the following:

STOP
By pressing the stop buon (4) the toasng cycle can be stopped at any me.

Defrosng
Only use frozen bread that is made for toasng. Put the frozen bread in the toaster. At the lower level, the bread will only be defrosted, but at a higher level the bread will also be toasted. The toaster is now set to defrost and the toasng
cycle will be set automatically. For this funcon, press the Defrost buon (7) right aer the appliance has been switched on.
Warming
If you want to reheat already toasted bread, you should use this funcon. Put the bread in the slots and press the ON/OFF buon (3) and then the warming buon (6). The bread is now reheated without further toasng.
Be careful: The surface of the toaster gets very hot during use!
BUN TOASTER
The toaster is equipped with a removable bun toaster. The bun toaster should be used if you want to heat/toast buns or mini-loaves.
Please note that the bread must not cover the enre surface of the toaster, as this will prevent the heat from escaping.
The bun toaster is used by pressing the lever (8) on the le side of the toaster.
Place the buns etc. on top of the toaster. Set the thermostat lever (5) to the toasng cycle you want and press the ON/OFF lever (3) on the right side of the toaster. The toaster switches o automatically, when the chosen cycle has elapsed.
If a piece of bread gets stuck during toasng, pull out the plug and let the toaster cool.
○ Another possibility is to turn the toaster upside-down and shake it carefully in order to release the bread. If this fails, try to manoeuvre the bread – but never use metallic items and be careful not to touch the heang element as this may be damaged, in which case the warranty does not cover the damage.
Do not use slices of bread that are too thick as these may get stuck in the toaster, and do not put pieces of bread that are too big on the toaster as this may prevent the heat from escaping.
WINDING OF THE CORD
- Please note that the toaster comprises a cord winding device in the boom, which makes it easy to store when not in use.
- CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Make sure the toaster is cold before cleaning. The ON/OFF lever (3) must be in its upper posion (OFF) and the plug taken out of the mains supply before cleaning the toaster. Bread crumbs drop into the crumb tray at the boom of the toaster. Pull out
the crumb tray and clean it with a brush or similar before pushing it back into the toaster.
- Wipe the outer surfaces with a damp cloth and polish with a dry, so cloth. Do not use scouring powder or aggressive detergents which may scratch the surface of the appliance.
