USER MANUAL JC239 Joycare
Read instructions in manual carefully before use.
Do not use in environments with over 85% humidity.
Keep product in a clean, dry place.
Do not use accessories other than those in the instructions.
Do not handle or try to open the product (always get technical assistance). The guarantee will be invalidated.
Do not expose product to direct sunlight or emerge in water.
Do not use in close proximity to mobile phones, televisions or microwave ovens.
Do not use batteries other than those in the instructions and do not attempt to recharge them. Remove the batteries when the product is not in use for a lengthy period.
The product is not advised for people who suffer from epilepsy or heart conditions; people who use cardiac simulators.
Do not use on wet or damp hair.
After use of comb, it is advisable to use a repellant treatment (shampoo, cream) to prevent further infestation from lice (for children in particular).
Disinfect the comb thoroughly before use by any other person or family member. To disinfect, use a damp cloth soaked in a 70% alcohol solution. Before re-use, make sure the comb is completely dry after cleaning.
Do not use if teeth show any sign of defect.
USING THE PRODUCT
The comb has been designed to fight human parasites (head lice) in a simple, fast and safe manner, with no damage to the hair or scalp. The comb is totally safe and innocuous even for very young children. When the teeth come into contact with lice, a slight electric tension (100 volts) is generated which is imperceptible to the human
body and kills the lice. The lice are removed from the hair and scalp by the steel teeth of the comb. During use, no substance is released from the product. It is therefore possible to repeat the operation at any time. A periodic oscillatory wave is generated by the comb when it comes into contact with the lice. A very slight electric tension is generated which instantly kills the lice. The tension generated by the included batteries is extremely slight, absolutely imperceptible to the human body and causes no harm whatsoever. Open the battery compartment and insert 1 AAA battery (making sure insertion correctly follows polarity).

Press the On/Off button. A sound will indicate the comb is ready for use.
Hold the comb at a 45^ angle to the scalp. The LED on the comb should be in a frontal position to the scalp. Lice usually nest in the warmer areas of the head (generally near the neck).
Move the comb slowly through the hair, preferably from zone to zone, to achieve best results. The movement of the comb should go from the back to the front of the head and then vice versa, making sure a 45^ angle is maintained.
The sound will be interrupted each time a louse is picked out and killed. If the sound does not start up again in 5 seconds, use the small cleaning brush provided. Two of the teeth may come into contact during use and this may cause a sudden interruption of the sound.
Keep combing carefully and in depth, until all the lice have been killed and removed. The comb may be used at any time of the day or night.
After each use, it is advisable to use a repellant treatment (shampoo, cream) to prevent further infestation from lice (for children in particular).
During periods of more consistent lice infestation, the comb should be used frequently and preferably before going to bed.
