USER MANUAL Mixanto Jupiter
EN Congratulations on the purchase of your new JUPITER kitchen appliance. You have chosen a high-quality, modern appliance. Further information on this and other products is available on our website at www.jupiter-gmbh.de.
The Mixanto is intended for the program-controlled crushing, blending and mixing of foodstuffs in normal domestic quantities in a domestic environment or in domestic-like, non-commercial applications.
Domestic-like applications include, for example, use in staff break rooms in shops, offices, agricultural and other commercial businesses, small hotels and similar residential facilities. Only use the appliance for normal domestic processing quantities. The appliance is maintenance-free.
Please read the operating instructions and, in particular, the safety notes, before using the appliance for the first time.
Keep the operating instructions safe and always store them with the appliance.

Important safety notes
WARNING Risk of electric shock!
- Unplug the appliance from the mains before cleaning.
- Never immerse the appliance or the power supply cord in water.
- Never hold the appliance or the power supply cord under running water.
- Do not use the appliance if there is any evidence of damage to either the appliance itself or the power supply cord.
- Do not insert any objects into the ventilation openings of the motor unit.
CAUTION Tampering with the appliance can lead to injuries!
- The appliance has a security mechanism that prevents operation if the container is not in position. This security mechanism should not be circumvented or tampered with.
CAUTION Rotating parts can cause injury!
- Never put your hand into the appliance when the motor is running.
- Unplug the appliance from the mains before reaching into the container.
CAUTION Sharp parts can cause injury!
- The cutting surfaces of the stainless steel blades are very sharp! Handle the stainless steel blades with care.
CAUTION Risk of injury from the container wall becoming hot, from hot splashing foodstuffs and hot steam!
- At cooking temperatures above 60^ , foodstuffs that spit or splash out, and any contact with the walls of the container can lead to burns.
- Do not exceed the maximum fill quantity of the container. The maximum fill quantity is marked on the wall of the container (2.0 litres/8 cups, marking MAX).
- When the container is opened, escaping steam can cause burns.
CAUTION Unintentional motor start-up!
Unplug the appliance from the mains:
- after every use
- when leaving the room
- in the event of a power cut
- in the event of a malfunction.
NOTE Running the appliance while empty can cause damage!
Never operate the appliance when empty. This can damage the blade mount and/or seal.
- Note the information on the rating plate and only use the appliance in accordance with this information.
Always ensure that the appliance is completely assembled before operating it, with the container lid and seal in place and the measuring cup in place and locked! Alternatively, the spatula provided can also be inserted in the container lid instead of the measuring cup. - Only use the spatula when the container lid is in place.
- Only use the original accessories supplied.
Children should not use the appliance. They should not play with it either. - This appliance may be used by persons with physical, sensory or mental disabilities, or by those who lack experience and/or knowledge, if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the appliance and have understood the dangers involved.
- In order to avoid damage, keep the appliance and the power supply cord away from sharp edges and hot surfaces.
- The appliance may only be repaired by JUPITER customer service.

Assembly/disassembly
CAUTION Sharp parts can cause injury!
- The cutting surfaces of the stainless steel blades are very sharp! Handle the stainless steel blades with care.
1 Place the container C from above onto the square block of the motor unit H. Important: Make sure when positioning the container that it sits completely over the square block. Tip: The Mixanto can be operated with the container's handle pointing in all four directions.
2 Place the container lid B with the seal on the container C.
3 Insert the measuring cup A into the container lid B. Bayonet fitting
4 Lock the bayonet fitting by turning clockwise.

It can be disassembled using the same steps in reverse order.
Disassembling/assembling the stainless steel blade
CAUTION Rotating parts can cause injury!
- Never put your hand into the appliance when the motor is running.
- Unplug the appliance from the mains before reaching into the container.

- The cutting surfaces of the stainless steel blades are very sharp! Handle the stainless steel blades with care.
1 From the outside, unscrew the assembly nut from the blade base.
2 Remove the blade from the hole on the base of the container.

The attachment can be assembled using the same steps in reverse order.
Important: Note the flattened sides of the blade base and of the hole in the bottom of the container. The blade must sit precisely in the hole of the container.

Program buttons E
Various programs are available for processing (Program description see page 9).

Press on a red-lit program button to start the corresponding program.
-
Only the actuated program button will then remain lit, the lights on all the other program buttons will go out.
-
Once the program has ended, processing stops automatically.

- You can cancel the running program at any time by pressing the red-lit program button.

Rotary knob for speed setting F
CAUTION Rotating parts can cause injury!
- Processing starts immediately once the knob is turned from position 0!
- Using the rotary knob, you can set the speed levels 0 - 5 and thereby start the appliance.
- If you set the rotary knob to position 0 during processing, processing will stop.
- You can change the speed level at any time.
- In addition, the rotary knob serves to pre-select the speed for the SLOW START program (Program description see page 9).
PULSE button G
- Pressing the PULSE button switches the speed of the blade temporarily to 20,000 rpm in order to better mix or chop the ingredients.
The PULSE function can be selected in all programs. - Only ever hold the button for a brief period, approx. 3 to 4 seconds (if required, press briefly multiple times).
Spatula K
With the spatula you can push any pieces of food that are driven up in the container or which stick to the container wall back down again.
Important:
- Only use the spatula when the container lid is in place.
Safety features
- The appliance cannot be started without the container being in position.
- If the container is in position and the rotary knob for the speed setting is not at 0, the program buttons flash. Remedy: Turn the rotary knob to 0.
- If it is not used, the appliance automatically switches into energy-saving mode after approx. 10 minutes.
The lights go out on the program buttons.
Activate the appliance by pressing any button or by activating the rotary knob.
First use
- Ensure that the appliance's mains plug is plugged out.
- Before using the appliance for the first time, thoroughly clean all parts of the appliance (see section Cleaning).
Always ensure that the appliance is completely assembled before operating it, with the container lid and seal in place and the measuring cup in place and locked! Alternatively, the spatula provided can also be inserted in the container lid instead of the measuring cup. - Place the appliance on a non-slip, even and clean surface.
Switching on and setting the appliance
CAUTION Rotating parts can cause injury!
- Never put your hand into the appliance when the motor is running.
CAUTION Risk of injury from the container wall becoming hot, from hot splashing foodstuffs and hot steam!
- At cooking temperatures above 60^ , foodstuffs that spit or splash out, and any contact with the walls of the container can lead to burns.
- Do not exceed the maximum fill quantity of the container. The maximum fill quantity is marked on the wall of the container (2.0 litres/8 cups, marking MAX).
- Make sure when removing the container that none of the hot contents can escape.
NOTE Running the appliance while empty can cause damage!
Never operate the appliance when empty. This can damage the blade mount and/or seal.

3 Set the rotary knob F to the desired speed level (0 - 5).
Processing starts.
- If you set the rotary knob to position 0 during processing, processing stops.
- You can change the speed level at any time.

- You can cancel the running program at any time by pressing the red-lit program button.

Taking the appliance out of service
- Stop processing by turning the rotary knob for the speed setting F to 0 or
- Interrupt the running program by pressing the red-lit program button.
Plug out the mains plug.
Cleaning
WARNING Risk of electric shock!
- Unplug the appliance from the mains before cleaning.
CAUTION Sharp parts can cause injury! - The cutting surfaces of the stainless steel blades are very sharp! Handle the stainless steel blades with care.
NOTE Dishwasher can cause damage!
- The appliance components are not dishwasher-safe. Only clean the components using lukewarm water and washing-up liquid.
- Use the PRE CLEAN program for pre-cleaning (Program description see page 9).
- Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning it.
- Never immerse the motor unit in water and never hold it under running water.
- Only ever clean the motor unit and the mount for the container with a damp cloth.
Disassemble all components after every use and thoroughly clean all parts that have come into contact with food.
Tip: Some foods such as carrots, tomatoes and also curry can cause discolouration of the plastic parts; this is normal. You can reduce this discolouration by wiping the plastic parts with a kitchen towel and a little cooking oil. Then wipe this away, first with warm water and then with cold water and a little washing-up liquid.

| SLOW START | Slow start, speed is continuously increased to the speed set with the rotary knob. This is recommended to ensure that the ingredients are mixed at a gradually increasing speed from the very start of processing. |

Storage
Store the appliance in its original packaging, in a dry, dust-free and cool place that is out of reach of children.
