- Do not operate or unplug the appliance with wet or moist hands or feet.
- Before using the appliance, check that the voltage stated on the appliance matches your mains voltage.
- Place the appliance while in function on a solid, stable, clean, dry and moisture resistant surface, like a table or a worktop. Vibration during operation may cause the appliance to move. Therefore do not place the blender near the edge of a bench or table during operation. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
- Do not leave the power cable hanging over table edges so that it can be pulled. Make sure that it does not come into contact with hot surfaces, such as hotplates or a radiator, or that it comes into contact with the appliance. Fully unwind the cord before use.
- Keep the appliance away from hot gas, hot ovens and other heat-emitting appliances or heat sources. Never use the appliance on a hot or wet surface. Never place the appliance near
moisture, heat and naked flames. Keep the appliance away from moving parts or appliances.
- Never carry the appliance by the power cable and do not place it on the power cable. Never pull on the power cord to disconnect the appliance from the power mains.
- We recommend that you do not use an extension cable with this appliance. Do not place the appliance directly underneath a power socket.
- Unplug the appliance when it is not in use or unattended and before cleaning. We recommend the use of a residual current device (RCD safety switch) to ensure additional protection during the use of electrical appliances. It is advisable to use a safety switch with a rated residual operating current of 30 mA maximum. For professional advice consult an electrician.
- Do not make any adjustments to the appliance, cable, plug or accessories.
- Do not leave the blender unattended when in use. Incorrect use may cause injury!
- Never take hold of an appliance that has fallen into water. Always take the plug out of the power socket before removing the appliance from the water. Do not use the appliance again until you have had it's ability to function safely checked by Solis or a Solis approved service centre.
- Never place the blender in a place where it could fall into water (e.g. next to a sink).
- Place the appliance so that it is never exposed to direct sunlight.

Under no circumstances must the appliance be used or cleaned by children under 8 years of age.
- Always keep the appliance and power cord out of the reach of children.
- Children must not clean the appliance except when supervised by a grown-up person responsible for their safety.
- Children must be supervised to prevent them from playing with the blender.
-
Always pull the plug from the socket if the appliance is unsupervised resp. before assembling or disassembling resp. cleaning the appliance.
-
The appliance is equipped with an overheat protection.
- Keep a minimum distance of 20 cm between the appliance and walls, curtains, textiles or other inflammable objects. Never cover the appliance while it is in use.
- Make sure that the Solis Mix & Go Blender is correctly assembled before using it. How to do this exactly you can learn on pages 66 and 68 of this manual.
- When using the To-Go blender cup for blending, make sure that the blade base is firmly screwed onto the cup before placing the cup in the motor base. The motor has to come to a full stop before you insert the blender cup into the motor base.
- Only use the included blender jug and jug lid resp. To-Go blender cup with blade inset. Improper accessories can cause electric shock and fire or personal damage!
- Always make sure that the jug lid is firmly mounted to the blender jug resp. the blade base is firmly screwed onto the blender cup before starting the blender. Otherwise, the contents of the jug or cup might splash out. Also, the measuring cap seal in the jug lid has to be screwed shut.
- Before moving, disassembling or cleaning the appliance, always switch the blender off with the turn-switch (position OFF). Wait for the motor and the blades to come to a full stop and pull the plug from the socket. This also applies when the appliance is not in use.
-
Warning: The appliance should not blend for more than 10 seconds without pause when the blender jug is filled with heavy and solid contents. The motor should be allowed to cool down for a minute before you restart it. If the blender jug is filled up to the MAX marking (f.e. 40% with solid foods and 60% with liquid), you should not let the appliance blend for more than 60 seconds without pause and then let the motor cool down.
-
Fill the jug and the To-Go blender cup not above the MAX marking, otherwise the motor might be overloaded resp. the blending performance be impaired. Also, the blended foods might escape. Remember that some foods increase in volume through blending.
- Should foods cake around the blades, switch the blender off with the turn-switch (position OFF) and pull the plug. Make sure the motor and blades have completely stopped before removing the jug from the motor base. Use a plastic spatula to break up resp. stir the foods around the blades before proceeding to blend. Do not use fingers as the blades are sharp!
- Never use the appliance if the blades are damaged or something other than food is in the blender jug/blender cup.
- Once the power plug has been connected to the power outlet, you must not reach into the blender jug resp. touch the blades.
- Keep hands, fingers, hair, clothing, jewelry and kitchen utensils well away from the blender jug when the appliance is switched on! Risk of injury!
- Only if the plug is pulled and the blades have come to a standstill you can reach into the blender jug with your fingers, hands or kitchen utensils! Even then, exercise extreme caution, as the blades also are very sharp when standing still. Avoid touching the moving parts of the blender!
- Be careful when handling the jug as the blades are very sharp. Be careful when emptying the blender jug and during cleaning. Mishandling of the blades may cause injury.
- Never remove blender jug/blender cup from the motor base while the appliance is switched on and in use!
-
Never operate the appliance with a timer switch or a remote control. This will prevent the appliance from switching on automatically or accidentally, f.e. after the motor overload protection has been triggered.
-
Only use the Solis Mix & Go Blender to prepare foods and/or beverages.
- Never use the blender without foods or liquids in the blender jug/blender cup.
- Do not process any hot or boiling ingredients in the blender jug. These must be cooled down to room temperature before being poured into the blender jug. Caution: Bubbles of hot air might rise and splash out of hot mixtures due to steam developing.
- Never fill the To-Go blender cup with hot or even warm liquids or foods. Hot and warm foods increase in volume and might build up pressure in the cup.
- Do not expose the blender jug/blender cup to extreme temperature changes. For example, do not place a cold blender jug/blender cup in hot water and vice versa.
- Do not place any parts of the blender or the cup in the microwave!
- Keep the appliance clean. Always switch the appliance off and pull the plug before cleaning and storing the appliance. Refer to "Care and cleaning" instructions on page 73 in this manual.
- Remove all packaging materials, package leaflets and stickers and rinse the lid with the measuring cap seal as well as the blender jug and the blender cup with the blade base in warm dishwater with a soft dish rag before using the appliance for the first time. Please refer to the section „Before first use“ on page 65 of this manual.
Caution: The blender blades are extremely sharp, avoid any contact with your fingers resp. with your hand! -
Never lift the blender jug/blender cup off the motor base while the motor is running. Always turn the turn-switch to the OFF position first and wait for the motor and the blades to come to a complete standstill. Only then remove the blender jug/blender cup.
-
The seal of the To-Go blender cup is not completely leakproof. It can loosen during transport through vibrations and shocks and become leaky. Therefore, it should always be transported uprightly and never be transported lying on its side when filled (f.e. in a bag) to prevent the contents from escaping and causing damage.

• Tip: PULSE is also good for crushing ice cubes.
▲ STARTING UP
BEFORE FIRST USE
- Before using your Solis Mix & Go Blender for the first time, please remove all packaging and advertising materials as well as stickers. Do not plug the power plug into the power outlet yet. Clean the lid including the measuring cap seal and the blender jug as well as the blender cup with the lid and the blade base in warm dishwater with a soft dish rag. Rinse everything carefully with clear water and dry everything. The blender cup and the lids as well as the blade base for the blender cup can be cleaned in the top drawer of the dishwasher, the blender jug can be cleaned in its bottom drawer. Please make sure that the lids have been removed before placing the jug resp. cup in the dishwasher. The motor base must not be placed in the dishwasher, it should be cleaned with a soft, only slightly moist towel and then be dried.
The blending blades are extremely sharp. Avoid any contact with your fingers resp. your hand!
Note: When using your blender for the first time, the factory-fresh motor might cause a light smell. This is normal and wears off after a short time.
▲ BLENDING WITH THE TO-GO BLENDER CUP
- Unscrew the blade base from the cup and turn the cup upside down, so that the opening points upwards.
- Fill the ingredients into the blender cup and, in any case, pay close attention to the MAX marking (500 ml). Under no circumstances exceed this marking.
- Screw the blade base firmly back onto the blender cup in a clockwise motion. The blade base has to be screwed all the way in so that none of the content can escape.
- Insert the blender cup with the blade base pointing down into the motor base. The arrow on the blade base should align with the arrow saying „ALIGN“ on the motor base.
- Then, turn the cup clockwise until the arrow on the blade base aligns with „BLEND“. You can hear the blade base lock into place.
- Plug the power plug into a suitable power outlet.
- Set the turn-switch to the desired speed and blend for a maximum of 60 seconds, then let the motor cool down for 2 minutes.
- When the blending process is finished, set the turn-switch to OFF. Wait for the blades and the motor to come to a full standstill and pull the power plug. Turn the arrow on the blade base back to „ALIGN“ and remove the cup from the motor base. Turn the cup upside down and wait for the contents to run off the blades and into the cup. Then, unscrew the blade base from the cup in a counter clockwise motion.
- If you want to drink the beverage directly from the cup or take it with you, screw the drinking lid onto the cup. You can comfortably drink from the sealable drinking opening.
- If the blender is not in use or before it is disassembled, cleaned or stored, it always has to be unplugged.
▲ TIPS FOR PERFECT BLENDING IN THE TO-GO BLENDER CUP
• IMPORTANT: Never blend hot or warm contents in the blender cup. Never blend carbonated liquids, as the gas cannot escape the closed container.
- We recommend blending for a maximum of 1 minute. The ingredients in the blender cup can warm up and put pressure on the gaskets, making it difficult to reopen the cup resp. making the contents splash out. Let the mixture cool down first if it has warmed up and be careful when opening the cup.
- Always blend ingredients combined with liquids. Should the ingredients not circulate in the cup, add a little more liquid to the cup.
- Should the mixture not be spread out evenly, try using less solid foods or more liquid or processing smaller amounts per session.
- Only blend as long as necessary – generally, do not blend too long.
- Use the PULSE function when processing foods with a solid consistency.
- Never exceed the MAX marking in the blender cup (500 ml).
- You can process a maximum of 3 ice cubes (classic size ice cubes from a standard ice cube tray) in the blender cup. This also applies to frozen fruit. Cut the fruit into cubes which correspond to the size of ice cubes before freezing them.
- Should you notice moisture or liquid on the upper part of the motor base during blending, immediately switch the appliance off with the turn-switch (OFF position) and pull the plug. Wait for the blades to come to a full standstill. Unscrew the blender cup and check if the blade base had been correctly screwed on. Wipe the motor base dry with a dry rag or paper towel immediately.
▲ BLENDING WITH THE BLENDER JUG
- Place the blender jug on the motor base in an upright position.
- Place the foods or liquids in the blender jug and make sure that the ingredients do not exceed the MAX marking (1,5 litres). Place the lid firmly on the jug so that it is properly sealed all around. Place the measuring cap in the centre of the lid and screw it shut in a clockwise direction until it locks into place in the lid.
Note: If you want to add oil or other liquids during blending, please remove the measuring cap and pour the ingredients into the jug through this opening in the lid. This only works if the volume of the blended ingredients lies under the MAX marking. The lid itself must never be removed from the jug during the blending process. - Plug the power plug into a suitable power outlet.
- Set the turn-switch to one of the desired speeds. Select the PULSE position if the processed food is very thick or coarse to allow it to circulate in the jug.
Note: Do not fill the blender jug above the MAX marking! Should the jug be filled in such a way that the contents reach almost or exactly up to the MAX marking, place a hand on the lid to prevent it from spilling out during use. - Once the blending process is finished, turn the turn-switch back to OFF and pull the power plug from the socket with dry hands. Wait for the motor and the blades to come to a complete standstill before removing the blender jug resp. the lid. To remove, pull the blender jug up without turning it. Only lift the blender jug off when the motor and the blades have come to complete standstill.
- The blender always has to be unplugged when it is not in use or before it is disassembled, cleaned or stored.
▲ TIPS FOR PERFECT BLENDING IN THE BLENDER JUG
- Should the volume be under the MAX marking during operation, the measuring cap in the lid can be removed so that oil or other liquids can be added.
- Be careful when blending large amounts or liquids – the mixture might spill out through the measuring cap opening in the lid of the jug!
- The blender should only be used until foods or mixing program are ready and form the perfect final product. Do not blend foods longer than necessary!
- Use the PULSE function when the foods are too thick or coarse to circulate in the blender jug
- Never exceed the MAX marking when filling the blender jug with foods and liquids.
- Ingredients might stick the side of the jug. To move the foods back towards the blades, turn the blender off and pull the plug. Wait for the blades to come to a full stop. Remove the lid. Push the foods downwards with a plastic spatula, pushing from the side of the jug towards the blades. After that, firmly place the lid back on the jug, connect the plug, activate the appliance and continue blending.
- Should you notice moisture or liquid on the upper part of the motor base during blending, immediately switch the appliance off with the turn-switch (OFF position) and pull the plug. Wait for the blades to come to a full stop. Lift the blender jug off and immediately wipe the motor base dry with a dry cloth or kitchen towel.
- You can adjust resp. change the speed during the blending process. Turn the turn-switch to a different speed and the blender will immediately change to this new speed.
- Use the speeds BLEND or LIQUIFY to turn fruit, ice cream and yoghurts into thick smoothies, cremes or milkshakes.
- Use the PULSE function for foods that require individual, powerful bursts of blending, f.e. when chopping nuts or crushing ice cubes.
- You blender can crush a maximum of 8 standard tray ice cubes in the blender jug. Use the PULSE function.
- When preparing drinks with ice cubes or frozen fruit, you should engage the PULSE function multiple times.
-
Alternating between the PULSE function and another speed setting will deliver optimal results when blending and chopping foods.
-
Thick mixtures will be mashed up more efficiently if the blender jug is only quarter- or half-full.
- Never use metal kitchen utensils or tools, they might damage or scratch the blades and the blender jug.
- Do not blend thicker mixtures for more than 10 seconds. Even a normal blending process should not take longer than 60 seconds. Should the ingredients require a longer blending time, switch the blender off after 60 seconds, pull the plug, wait for the blades to come to a full stop and stir the ingredients by hand with a plastic spatula before restarting the blender. This pause will prevent the motor from overloading.
- This blender is not suited to kneading dough or pureeing resp. mashing potatoes.
- When processing slightly warm ingredients, do not put more than 2 cups of them into the blender jug per session. Place a kitchen towel on the lid and hold the lid with your hand.
- Never blend hot or boiling ingredients. They should always be handwarm resp. cooled down to room temperature before being filled into the blender jug. This is a safety measure to prevent hot steam from loosening and lifting the lid.
OVERLOAD PROTECTION

Warning:
To protect the motor, please do not keep on using the appliance after the automatic overload protection has been triggered.
In this case, switch the appliance off with the turn-switch (OFF position), pull the power plug and remove the blender jug or blender cup. Wait 30 minutes to let the appliance cool down. Do not place the blender jug/blender cup on the motor base during this time, as the appliance could suddenly start when the overload protection is reset. Then, plug the power plug back into the power outlet and restart the appliance.
If the motor has cooled down enough, your appliance will restart and you can keep using the blender as described in this manual.
The motor can overload if the blender jug/blender cup has been too heavily filled or if it has blended for too long. In this case, reduce the amount of ingredients or repeatedly pause during blending to allow the motor to cool down in order to prevent overheating.
Complying to the MAX marking reduces the risk of overloading the motor. However, especially hard foods might still cause an overload. If you notice the motor stalling or running slowly, only blend for 10 seconds at a time or reduce the amount of ingredients. Also, adding liquids might loosen up a tough mixture.

▲ CARE AND CLEANING
BLENDER JUG, BLENDER CUP AND LIDS RESP. BLADE BASE
For safety reasons, the power plug has to be pulled after every use. To prevent the foods from drying around the blades, the blender jug/blender cup or lid after preparation, we recommend proceeding as follows after every use:
- Rinse the blender jug/blender cup, the lids and the measuring cap with water to remove most of the food remains.
- Clean the blender cup, its lid and the blade base in warm dishwater with a bottle brush or a soft sponge. Afterwards, rinse with clear water and carefully dry.
Alternatively, you can pour a little bit of cold water into the blender cup, screw on the blade base and either blend for 10 seconds with the motor base or shake it by hand.
Caution: When blending to clean, never fill the blender cup with hot or warm water. Pressure might develop in the cup. Never add dishwashing liquid to the water when blending or shaking. - Pour 500 ml of warm water into the blender jug, place it on the motor base and place the lid including the measuring cap on the jug. Turn the turn-switch to BLEND for 10 – 20 seconds or repeatedly turn it to PULSE. Should the foods persistently stick on, add a little dishwashing liquid.
After that, rinse the blender jug, the lid and the measuring cap again with warm water or clean everything in warm dishwater with a soft towel or a bottle brush. - Make sure to rinse all dishwashing liquid remains out of the jug/cup with clear water.
- When the blender jug, lid and measuring cap resp. blender cup, blade base and lid are all clean, dry everything carefully.
• Note: The blender jug/blender cup is easiest to clean right after use.
CLEANING IN THE DISHWASHER
- The blender jug/blender cup and the lids as well as the blade base can be cleaned in the dishwasher in a standard cycle. Place the blender jug in the bottom drawer. The blender cup, the lids and the blade base, however, should always be washed in the top drawer of the dishwasher.
CLEANING THE MOTOR BASE
- Wipe the motor base clean with a slightly wet, soft towel and dry it afterwards. Remove potential food remains from the power cord.
NOTE TO DETERGENTS
- Never use scratching or aggressive detergents or solutions to clean the motor base or the blender jug/blender cup with lids and blade base – they might scratch the surface. Only use warm water with mild washing-up liquid and a soft towel.
HOW TO REMOVE TOUGH STAINS AND SMELLS
- Odorous foods like garlic, caraway/coriander or some kinds of vegetables like carrots can leave a smell or discoloration on the jug/blender cup.
- To remove these, fill the jug/blender cup with warm dishwater and let it sit for a maximum of 5 minutes. After that, clean the jug/blender cup by hand with a mild washing-up liquid and warm water. After that, carefully rinse with clear water and dry. It is vital that they are stored with an open lid.
- Put the lid in warm dishwater for a maximum of 5 minutes. After that, clean it with a mild detergent and warm water. After that, carefully rinse with clear water and dry.
PLEASE NOTE WHEN PREPARING DISHES WITH LEMON JUICE
- The juice of citrus fruits can tarnish the blender jug/blender cup and impair their durability. We recommend immediately cleaning the blender jug/blender cup after use in warm dishwater, carefully rinsing it with clear water and drying it right away. Do not let the blender jug/blender cup soak in!
STORAGE
- Store your Solis Mix & Go Blender in an upright position, the blender jug should be placed right next to it. Do not place anything on top of the appliance. To allow free air circulation, the lid should not be placed on the blender jug. The blender cup, too, should be stored without lid or blade base.
▲ PROBLEMS AND POSSIBLE CAUSES
| Problem Easy Solution | |
| Motor doesn't start or blade doesn't rotate | – Check that the power plug is securely inserted into the power outlet.– Check if the blender jug and the jug lid resp. the blender cup and the blade base are correctly installed.– The appliance might be overloaded. Refer to last section. |
| Foods are chopped unevenly | – A too large amount was filled into the blender jug/blender cup. Fill a smaller amount of food into the blender jug/blender cup and, if necessary, do multiple sessions.– The pieces were too large. Cut the food in smaller pieces. For best results, cut the food in pieces not larger than 2 cm. |
| Foods were chopped too finely or are watery | – Blend for shorter periods of time. For better control, use PULSE function. |
| Foods stick to the blade/blender jug | – The mixture might be too thick. Add some liquid to the mixture and/or try a slower speed or the PULSE function. |
| Blender overloaded | – The blender features a overload protection feature. If the motor is being overloaded, the motor will stop.– Switch the blender off with the turn-switch and pull the plug. Let the appliance cool down for 30 minutes, reconnect the power plug and restart the appliance with the turn-switch.– We recommend pouring out a small portion of the content of the blender jug/blender cup or cutting the foods in smaller pieces resp. processing smaller amounts per session. |
▲ GOOD TO KNOW ABOUT ICECRUSH
• Ice can change the temperature and the taste of the drink.

text_image
Thick, coarsely blended mixture, taste not homogenous Thin Milk Homogenous taste thanks to perfectly blended texture- Compared to their weight, ice cubes have a smaller surface than crushed ice, causing them to melt more slowly. For this reason, some people like to add ice cubes to their drinks after mixing them instead of before.
- However, not only does crushed resp. blended ice cool the drink more quickly, it also improves emulsification resp. amalgamation of the drink to one homogenous texture. In most cases, this has a positive impact on the taste.
- When ice is included during blending, air and taste particles are blended more evenly, giving the drink an all around better taste and more homogenous consistency.
- Thanks to the arrangement of the center blades, the ice cubes are pulled downwards and crushed there, while the longer blades ideally distribute and blend the mixture in the jug while also removing clumps and aerating the mixture.
- We recommend experimenting with the amount of ice cubes and finding out for yourself what impact crushed ice has on the taste and consistency of your drinks and smoothies.

Directions for proper disposal of the product according to EU directive 2002/96/EU
At the end of its working life this equipment must not be disposed of as an household waste. It must be taken to special local community waste collection centres or to a dealer providing this service. Disposing of electrical and electronic equipment separately avoids possible negative effects on the environment and human health deriving from an inappropriate disposal and enables its components to be recovered and recycled to obtain significant savings in energy and resources. In order to underline the duty to dispose of this equipment separately, the product is marked with a crossed-out dustbin.
Solis of Switzerland Ltd reserves the right to carry out technical and visual changes and modifications to improve the product at any time.
