1. Please read the following information and

2. This appliance is not intended for use by

persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or with lack of experience or lack of knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person who is responsible for their safety or have been instructed on how to use the appliance.

1. Plug the cord of the base into the mains.

2. Remove the kettle from the base. Open the

lid by pressing the black knob in the middle of the lid.

3. Fill the kettle with water (minimum

off which switches off the heating element when it becomes too hot, for instance when the kettle has boiled dry. Allow the kettle to cool down. Then fill the kettle with cold water. This will reset the shutoff so that the kettle can be used again.

tion, which means the appliance shuts off automatically if the heating element becomes too hot. Allow the appliance to cool about 15 minutes. Then fill the electric kettle with cold water. The boil dry protection is deactivated and the appliance is ready for operation again.

28. Do not use the appliance with accessories

of other manufacturers or brands, to prevent damage.

29. Unplug the appliance from the power supply

after use and prior to cleaning. Never leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged in to the power supply.

30. Check the appliance, the plug and the

power cord regularly for wear or damage. In case of damage to the power cord or other parts, please send the appliance or the base for inspection and repair to our after sales service (for address, see warranty terms). Unauthorized repairs can result in serious risks to the user and void the warranty.

31. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be

before cleaning the kettle and base.

2. Base, cable and kettle must never be immersed

and a drop of washing-up liquid. Never use an aggressive scouring or steel wool.

before being used again.

5. Descale the kettle regularly, possibly

once a week, depending on the hardness of the water and the frequency of use. Scale significantly diminishes the heating performance of the kettle.

6. To descale fill half the kettle with a mixture

of water and vinegar. Bring to the boil and then leave it to stand overnight. Next day pour away and fill the kettle with fresh water and bring to the boil again. This water must also be poured away. Rinse twice with fresh water and wipe with a towel.

7. Normal commercial descalers for kettles

can also be used. Follow the instructtions for the respective descaler.
