1 ATEN C I O N

  • Read these instructions carefully before using your appliance, and keep them for future reference.
  • Remove all elements from the inside or outside of the appliance used for protection during transport or for sales promotions, such as paper or plastic bags, plastic sheets, cardboard and stickers.
  • This fan heater is an excellent source of additional heat: It should not be considered as a principal heating system.
  • Before connecting the appliance, make sure that the voltage shown on the specifications plate is the same as the mains power supply at your home.
  • Do not obstruct the air inlets or place any objects on top of the vents or openings of the appliance, since this could cause an electrical shock. Do not insert anything into the grill.
  • Always place the fan heater on a solid, flat and horizontal surface. Do not place it on excessively soft surfaces such as a bed.
  • Leave enough space around the fan heater (at least 50~cm above and to the sides, and 120~cm in front).
  • Position the fan heater away from flammable materials (glues, curtains, carpet...).
  • Do not place the fan heater directly underneath a power outlet.
  • Do not use your fan heater if you see that the power cord is damaged or notice any defect on the appliance. For safety reasons, take it only to an authorised Technical Service Centre.
  • Always make sure you turn off the power switch (1) and unplug the appliance from the mains when not in use.
  • Do not touch the grill, since it can become very hot.

NEVER COVER the appliance, in order to prevent it from overheating.

  • Do not place the cable under carpets or under any other kind of material.
  • To hang the fan heater on the wall, always use the wall accessory (8) included with the appliance.

  • Do not place the appliance on top of the power cord when the appliance is hot. Do not operate the appliance with the cable wound up.
  • Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.
  • Do not use the appliance near a bath, shower or swimming pool or any other water container. If the fan heater falls into water, DO NOT try to take it out. Unplug it from the mains.
  • Do not use the fan heater to dry clothes, do not leave furniture closer than 50~cm in front of the appliance, and do not use it in rooms with less than 4m^2 of floor space.
  • Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
  • This appliance must not be used by disabled persons and children, or those who are not experienced in the use of the appliance, except when they are guided or supervised by someone who knows the safety instructions that must be followed to operate the appliance.
  • In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

2 SAFETY SYSTEM

The appliance is equipped with an OVERHEATING DISCONNECTION system. If a problem occurs, this system automatically switches off the appliance. If this happens, proceed as follows:

1 Unplug the appliance from the mains.
2 Allow it to cool for 15 minutes.
3 Ensure that there is no dust or other obstacles that obstruct the air flow.
4 Clean the grills, using a vacuum cleaner if necessary.

4 OPERATION

1 Plug your fan heater into the mains.
2 Select the cooling or heating function and desired power and speed position with the function selector (1) and slide the temperature regulator (2).
3 If you wish to keep the room temperature stable, slide the temperature regulator (2) to maximum.
4 Place the function selector control (1) in the desired position:

5 When the room has reached the desired temperature, slowly slide the temperature regulator (2) to the left until a soft "click" is heard. The pilot light will turned off and the fan heater will switch off. The appliance will switch on and off in order to maintain the right temperature in the room.
6 To turn off the fan heater, move the function selector (1) to position 0, and unplug the appliance from the mains.
7 If you wish to prevent temperatures below 5^ C in the room, select the position using the temperature regulator (2) and the Heating - medium power position on the function selector (1). The fan heater will turn on when the room temperature drops below 5^ C.

5 WALL ACCESSORY

The fan heater has a wall accessory that allows you to mount the appliance on the wall in a permanent position. This accessory needs to be located at a 1,80 m height.
If used in a bathroom this heater has to be installed so that switches and other controls cannot be touched by a person in the bath or shower.

1 Place the wall accessory in parallel to the wall and screw it in. Insert the fan heater in the wall accessory, using the space existing in the appliance.(7) (Fig. 1)

2 To remove the fan heater from the wall accessory, press the internal flap of the wall accessory (8) with your finger and pull upwards (Fig. 2).

6 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning the appliance, make sure it is switched off and unplugged from the mains.

1 Allow it to cool.
2 Clean the outside of the appliance with a dry cloth.
3 After each season, we recommend that you clean the appliance with a cloth and store it in its box in a dry place.
4 Before each use, be sure that the appliance is in perfect condition.
