Frequently Asked Questions - Beline SP Furia Ellermeyer

How to install the seat with the harness (group 1)?
Place the seat against the rear seat, lower the headrest, pass the vehicle seat belt through the openings ensuring that the lap belt passes under the armrest and the diagonal belt goes up vertically between the backrest and the headrest. Buckle the belt, push the seat firmly and tighten the belt. Open the harness buckle, place the child, close the buckle until you hear a 'click', then tighten the harness by pulling on the adjustment strap. Make sure only one finger can pass between the harness and the child.
How to install the seat without harness (groups 2-3)?
Make sure the harness is removed and the headrest is adjusted to the correct height. Place the seat against the rear seat, have the child sit. Pass the diagonal strap through the belt guide on the headrest and under the opposite armrest, and the lap strap under both armrests. Buckle the seat belt and tighten it properly.
How to adjust the harness height?
Unhook the strap strands from the metal retaining piece at the back of the seat. Pull the straps through the shell and cover, insert the safety sleeves at the desired height (through the same slots). Reinsert the sleeves, then the straps, and reattach them to the metal piece. The straps should be as close as possible to the child's shoulders, without being twisted.
How to remove the harness to use the seat in group 2-3?
Follow steps 6, 7 and 8 of the manual: detach the buckle straps on each harness strand, then pull the harness through the seat. Remove the crotch strap by turning the metal stop and passing it through the shell and cover.
How to reinstall the harness after using in group 2-3?
Reinstall the crotch strap ensuring the metal stop is properly in place. Under the seat, reinsert the shoulder strap making sure it sits between the shell and the adjustment strap. Put back the safety sleeves with the non-slip part facing the backrest. Pass the shoulder strap strands through the buckle connectors, then through the sleeves, cover and backrest shell, and reattach them to the metal piece.
Where to store the instruction manual?
A storage pocket for the manual is provided on the seat. Always keep the guide in this pocket for easy reference.
How to clean the seat cover?
The cover is removable. For light stains, clean with a damp sponge and soapy water. For deeper cleaning, hand wash at 30 °C with soapy water. Do not use bleach, do not iron, do not machine wash, and do not tumble dry.
What are the important safety instructions?
Read all instructions carefully before use. Only install the seat on a forward-facing seat with a 3-point belt. Keep straps tight and not twisted. Replace the device after a violent accident. Do not modify the seat without approval. Protect it from sunlight and never leave the child unattended.
Can I use the seat without the backrest?
No, the backrest must never be removed. Without the backrest, your child would no longer benefit from the essential side protection in case of impact.
How to adjust the headrest height?
The headrest is height-adjustable. It should be positioned so that the belt guides are as close as possible to your child's shoulders. Follow the instructions in the guide to adjust it correctly.

How to install the Ellermeyer Beline SP Furia car seat in a car?
Frequently Asked Questions - 05/04/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The Ellermeyer Beline SP Furia car seat is installed only with the 3-point seat belt of your vehicle. Before starting, ensure that your car has a 3-point seat belt (fixed or with retractor) approved according to UN/ECE standard No. 16. The installation varies depending on the age group and weight of the child.

Installation for group 1 (children from 9 to 18 kg) with harness: Place the seat firmly against the rear bench of the vehicle and lower the headrest to the maximum. Pull the vehicle seat belt until it is completely slack. Pass both strands (lap and diagonal) through the openings of the cover and the shell, ensuring that the lap strand goes under the armrest of the car seat and that the diagonal strand rises vertically between the backrest and the head support. Pull the belt through the opposite openings and ensure that it goes behind the car seat harness. Check that the diagonal strand goes through the red guide of the backrest.

Fasten the vehicle seat belt, ensuring that it is not twisted. Push the car seat firmly against the vehicle bench and tighten the belt as much as possible by pulling the lap strand and the diagonal strand towards the retractor. Open the harness buckle by pressing the red button and pull the adjustment strap so that the shoulder straps are properly tightened against your child. The space between the harness and the child should not exceed the thickness of a finger.

Installation for groups 2-3 (children from 15 to 36 kg) without harness: First, ensure that the harness is completely removed. Place the seat firmly against the rear bench of the vehicle and seat the child on it. Adjust the adjustable headrest so that the belt guides are positioned as close as possible to the child's shoulders to ensure maximum side protection. The diagonal strand of the belt should pass through the headrest strap guide and under the opposite armrest, while the lap strand goes under the armrests. Fasten the vehicle seat belt, checking that it is properly tightened and not twisted.

Always install this seat on the rear bench of the vehicle, preferably in the center for optimal safety. Before each use, check that the vehicle seat belt is properly fastened and that there are no debris or obstacles in the belt passages. If you have any doubts regarding the installation or correct use of the seat, consult the manufacturer for assistance.

Installation with the harness

Gr. 1, from 9 to 18 kg (from approximately 9 months to 4 years)

Ensure that the harness of your car seat is suitable for the size of your child before installing it in your vehicle.

The shoulder harnesses can be set to three heights and must be passed through the holes closest to the shoulders of your child. If the shoulders of your child are between two pairs of holes, use the higher ones.

To adjust the height of the shoulder straps of the harness, detach the ends of the strap from the metal retainer on the back of the car seat (6). Pull the ends of the straps through the back, the sheath and the cover (7). Pass the sheathes through the back and the cover (8), then place them at the desired height using the same slits in both the cover and the actual seat (9).

Place the shoulder straps through the sheathes, the cover and the seat (10) and reattach them to the metal retainer clip (11). Ensure that the straps are not twisted.

  • Loosen the harness by pressing on the adjuster under the front of the seat, pull the shoulder straps under the safety sheathes pulling on the straps at the same time.
  • Tighten the harness by pulling on the adjustment strap at the front of the car seat. It is not necessary to press the adjuster.

CAUTION: a well adjusted harness plays an essential role in protecting your baby more effectively. You should not be able to place more than the width of a finger between the harness and the child.

Place the two ends of the belt through the opening in the cover and the back of the car seat ensuring that the diagonal end goes up vertically between the back and the head support (13).

Pull the safety belt through the opposite openings. Make sure that the safety belt goes behind the harness of the car seat (14).

Gr. 2-3, from 15 to 36 kg (from approximately 3 to 12 years)

Ensure that the harness of your car seat is not attached and that the adjustable head support has been set to the size of your child before starting to install it in your vehicle. Your car seat is group 2 and 3 approved and has a back support. Never remove the back of your car seat. Without the back, your child will not be protected laterally.

  • Undoing the harness: repeat operations (6), (7) and (8). Release the buckle connectors on each end of the harness (19) then pull the harness through the vertical part of your car seat (20). Remove the crotch strap by twisting the metal stop then passing it through the seat and the seat cover (21).
  • Adjusting the head support: the adjustable head support is designed to be used as your child grows up providing maximum lateral protection. The belt guides of the head support must be placed as close to your child's shoulders as possible (22).

Place the car seat against the back seat of your vehicle (23). Seat your child on the car seat. The diagonal end of the belt goes into the strap guide of the head support and under the opposite armrest. The lap end of the safety belt goes under the armrests (24). Fasten the safety belt. Ensure that the belt is tight enough and not twisted.

Returning to the original configuration of the car seat

Follow the instructions below if you wish to return to the harness configuration. Reinstall the crotch strap (25) then ensure that the metal stop is placed correctly under the seat. Reinstall the shoulder strap under the seat (26). Ensure that the shoulder strap is in place between the seat and the harness adjustment strap. Put the safety sheathes back on, ensuring that the anti-slip surface is facing towards the back of the car seat (27). Pass the ends of the shoulder strap through the buckle connectors (28), through the safety sheathes then through the cover and the back of the seat (29). Reattach the end of the shoulder strap to the metal retainer (30). Ensure that the straps are not twisted.
