If you do not comply with these instructions, the safety of your child could be compromised. Only install your group 1-2-3 booster seat on a forward facing seat that has a 3-point seat belt (1).

  • The hard items and the items in plastic of the child restraint system must be located and installed so that when used normally, they do not get trapped under a movable seat or in the vehicle door.
  • Make sure the straps to attach the restraint system to the vehicle are kept tight and adjust the straps that hold in the child. The straps must not be twisted.
  • Replace the restraint system if it has been subjected to violent shocks in an accident.
  • It is dangerous to change or add elements to the restraint system in any way without the authorisation of the competent authority, or not to carefully follow the instructions on installation provided by the manufacturer of the child restraint system.
  • Keep the seat out of direct sunlight so that the child does not get burned.
  • Do not leave the child unattended in a child restraint system.
  • Make sure that luggage and other items that might harm the child in the seat in the event of a shock are correctly stowed away.
  • Do not use the child restraint system without the cover.
  • Do not replace the seat cover with one that has not been recommended by the manufacturer, because it plays a direct role ensuring that the restraint system works effectively.
  • If you have a doubt concerning the installation and correct usage of your seat, please contact the manufacturer of the child restraint system.
  • Install your child restraint system on seats categorised as "Universal" in your car manual.
  • Do not use weight-bearing contact points other than those described in the instructions and indicated on the restraint system.
  • Always use the back seat if possible even if the Highway Code stipulates that using the front seat is allowed.
Always ensure that the seat belt has been fastened.
  • Always check that there are no bits of food or other debris in the buckle of the harness or in the main adjuster.
  • Do not clothe the child in garments that are too bulky in winter.

Installation with the harness

Gr. 1, from 9 to 18 kg (from approximately 9 months to 4 years)

Ensure that the harness of your car seat is suitable for the size of your child before installing it in your vehicle.

The shoulder harnesses can be set to three heights and must be passed through the holes closest to the shoulders of your child. If the shoulders of your child are between two pairs of holes, use the higher ones.

To adjust the height of the shoulder straps of the harness, detach the ends of the strap from the metal retainer on the back of the car seat (6). Pull the ends of the straps through the back, the sheath and the cover (7). Pass the sheathes through the back and the cover (8), then place them at the desired height using the same slits in both the cover and the actual seat (9).

Place the shoulder straps through the sheathes, the cover and the seat (10) and reattach them to the metal retainer clip (11). Ensure that the straps are not twisted.

  • Loosen the harness by pressing on the adjuster under the front of the seat, pull the shoulder straps under the safety sheathes pulling on the straps at the same time.
  • Tighten the harness by pulling on the adjustment strap at the front of the car seat. It is not necessary to press the adjuster.

CAUTION: a well adjusted harness plays an essential role in protecting your baby more effectively. You should not be able to place more than the width of a finger between the harness and the child.

Place the car seat against the back seat of your vehicle (12). Lower the head support as far as it will go. Pull the safety belt until it is completely slack. Place the two ends of the belt through the opening in the cover and the back of the car seat ensuring that the diagonal end goes up vertically between the back and the head support (13).

Pull the safety belt through the opposite openings. Make sure that the safety belt goes behind the harness of the car seat (14).

Ensure that the lap end of the belt passes under the armrest of the car seat and that the diagonal end goes under the red guide on the back. Fasten the safety belt, ensuring that the belt is not twisted (15). Push the car seat firmly against the back seat of the vehicle and tighten the belt as far as possible by pulling the lap and diagonal end up towards the inertia reel (16).

Open the buckle of the harness by pressing on the red button in the centre of the buckle. Place your child in the car seat. Join together both ends of the shoulder harness and fasten the harness buckle until you hear it click (17). Pull on the adjustment strap of the harness so that the shoulder straps are fitting snugly over your child (18).

Installation without the harness

Gr. 2-3, from 15 to 36 kg (from approximately 3 to 12 years)

Ensure that the harness of your car seat is not attached and that the adjustable head support has been set to the size of your child before starting to install it in your vehicle. Your car seat is group 2 and 3 approved and has a back support. Never remove the back of your car seat. Without the back, your child will not be protected laterally.

  • Undoing the harness: repeat operations (6), (7) and (8). Release the buckle connectors on each end of the harness (19) then pull the harness through the vertical part of your car seat (20). Remove the crotch strap by twisting the metal stop then passing it through the seat and the seat cover (21).
  • Adjusting the head support: the adjustable head support is designed to be used as your child grows up providing maximum lateral protection. The belt guides of the head support must be placed as close to your child's shoulders as possible (22).

Place the car seat against the back seat of your vehicle (23). Seat your child on the car seat. The diagonal end of the belt goes into the strap guide of the head support and under the opposite armrest. The lap end of the safety belt goes under the armrests (24). Fasten the safety belt. Ensure that the belt is tight enough and not twisted.

Returning to the original configuration of the car seat

Follow the instructions below if you wish to return to the harness configuration. Reinstall the crotch strap (25) then ensure that the metal stop is placed correctly under the seat. Reinstall the shoulder strap under the seat (26). Ensure that the shoulder strap is in place between the seat and the harness adjustment strap. Put the safety sheathes back on, ensuring that the anti-slip surface is facing towards the back of the car seat (27). Pass the ends of the shoulder strap through the buckle connectors (28), through the safety sheathes then through the cover and the back of the seat (29). Reattach the end of the shoulder strap to the metal retainer (30). Ensure that the straps are not twisted.

Cup holder (as an option in some models)

Slide the cup holder of the car seat into the guides on each side of the seat (31).
WARNING: do not place heavy objects that might fly out of the cup holder in the event of an impact.
