General ■ Never cover the fan or air inlet. ■ Make sure that the air inlet is free of lint and hair. ■ Ifthehairdryeroverheats,forexample, if an air inlet is covered, the appliance switcheso󰀨automatically. Important: Be sure to unplug the appliance and wait a few minutes until it has cooled down. It can then be used as normal. ■ To pre-dry wet hair, select the higher setting 2. Hold the appliance about 10 cm away from your head. Ionisation This hairdryer comes with Quattro-Ion Technology (4 ion outlets) with Shine Boost Power. Ions are electrically loaded particlesthatexistintheair,whichare created by an ion generator in the appli- ance. Thanks to the quadruple ionisation oftheQuattro-IonHairdryerwiththeirextra wide ion current, the static charging, i. e. the frizzing of hair, is visibly reduced (anti- statice󰀨ect). It sets the individual hair sectionswiththecoolairow.Pressthe Coolbutton3 to activate the cooling func- tioninanysetting.PresstheCoolbutton

Use ■ Set the fan and temperature to a lower setting. ■ To set the volume and natural curl of the hair,presstheCoolbutton3. ■ Repeat the process for the individual sections of hair. Warning! The styling nozzle 8anddi󰀨user 7 can become hot. Allow them to cool down before detaching.10

Styling nozzle The styling nozzle 8 is specially designed for drying and styling sections of hair. Attach the styling nozzle 8 to the appliance. Make sure it clicks into place. The nozzle can be turned as required. Use ■ Set the fan and temperature to a higher setting. ■ Direct the air stream right onto the section of hair you want to style. ■ Tosetthehair,switchontheCoolbutton 3 and repeat the process. Important: The nozzle should never actually touch the hair. Warning! The styling nozzle 8anddi󰀨user 7 can become hot. Allow them to cool down before detaching. Cleaning and maintenance Allow the appliance to cool completely before storage or cleaning!

Risk of electric shock! Unplug the appliance before cleaning it. Never immerse the appliance in water. Do not use a steam cleaner. ■ Wipeo󰀨theouterareaoftheappliance with a dampcloth and then wipe dry. Do not use strong or abrasive cloths or cleaning agents. ■ Cleantheairinletgrill6 regularly with a soft brush. ■ Removeandcleanthedi󰀨user7 or the styling nozzle 8. Only use them again when they are completely dry. Storage Allow the appliance to cool before putting it away. Disposal
