Warnings and safety notes
THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL SHOULD BE KEPT WITH THE KODE FIX WHILE IT IS IN USE.
READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE ARTICLE AND KEEP THEM FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. THE CHILD'S SAFETY MAY BE AT RISK IF THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT FOLLOWED.
The Kode fix is a child safety seat belonging to group 2 (15 - 25 kg) and group 3 (22-36 kg).
The seat can be installed in the vehicle and secured with the three-point seat belt with retractor, approved under UN/ECE-16 or other equivalent standards and if isofix anchors are fitted the fix connectors can be used.
The original equipment must not be altered.
After an accident the seat should be replaced.
Make sure that the fold down seat or doors of the vehicle cannot cause any damage to any part of the seat.
In sunlight the inside of the vehicle can reach very high temperatures therefore it is . advisable to cover the seat, when it is not in use, to protect the child from any possible burns.
The straps should never be twisted.
Always use the safety seat, even on short journeys, and never leave the child unattended.
Take the seat out of the car whenever it is not going to be used for a while.
Any luggage or other objects that may cause injury in the event of a collision should be secured.
- We guarantee the safety of the device when it is used by the original buyer, do not use second hand safety products or seats.
- It is important that the other passengers in the vehicle also wear their seat belts, because in the event of an accident they could get flung about and injure the baby.
- Do not use the seat without the upholstery or with other upholstery that is not the original one.
Wash the upholstery and fabric parts following the indications on the care labels on each part.
- Clean the plastic parts with mild soap and warm water.
Make sure that the upholstery of the vehicle seat does not make it difficult to tighten the seat belt or adjust the harness of the seat.
Remember that you are responsible for the child's safety.
NOTE
This is a "SEMI-UNIVERSAL" child restraint system. It is approved for installation in 1. the vehicles and on the seat positions indicated in the vehicle list contained inside this packaging.
Other vehicles and seat positions may also be suitable for this restraint system.2. If in doubt, consult the manufacturer or retailer.3.
IMPORTANT
This product is only suitable for use in the approved vehicles that are fitted with three-point seat belts with a retractor, approved under UN/ECE n^ 16 or other equivalent standards.
Instructions for use
Adjusting the reclining position
NOTE: Make sure that both the backrest end caps are correctly in place for both of the two possible positions.
The seat has two reclining positions.
Press the backrest end caps on both sides, to obtain the most reclined position (fig.1).
Pull both end caps outwards to place the backrest in the second position (fig.2).
Adjusting the height of the headrest (fig.3)
Keep the headrest adjustment button pressed and pull upwards to adjust the height.
Release the button to secure it in the required position.
Installing the car safety seat
NOTE: The KODE FIX can be installed on the vehicle seat with or without the fix connectors.
Put the backrest into one of the two possible positions.
Press the buttons, found on the sides of the seat of the product, and extract the fix • connectors (fig.4).
Position the clips in front of both ISOFIX slots, which are situated between the seat and the backrest (fig.5).
Place the safety seat on the vehicle seat, and put the headrest into the highest position (fig.6).
Find the isofix anchors of the vehicle seat, and line the connectors up with them (fig.7).
Press the child restraint system, leaning on the front part, against the vehicle seat. If using the fix connectors they will click when correctly fastened, and a green signal will appear on the sides of the connectors (fig.8). Make sure that both connectors are correctly fastened.

Seat the child and take hold of the end of the seat belt, pass the diagonal section through the guide on the headrest.
The abdominal section should go over the child's legs, under both armrests. It should
go through the guides marked in red.
Fasten the seat belt buckle (fig.9).
Adjust the headrest so that it is at the correct height, and tighten the seat belt.
WARNING: Make sure that the seat belt is not twisted.
Removing the safety seat
Unfasten the seat belt.
Take the abdominal part of the vehicle seat belt out of the guides, and then do the same with the diagonal part.
Take the child out of the restraint system.
If you have used the fix connectors to fasten the safety seat to the vehicle seat, press the buttons on both sides and release the safety seat (fig.10).
If you want to leave the safety seat installed in the car, unfasten the seat belt buckle, take the child out of the seat and then fasten the vehicle seat belt again.
Removing the upholstery
Take the upholstery off the headrest (fig.11).
Take the upholstery off the backrest (fig.12).
Lastly, take the upholstery off the seat (fig.13).
Follow the same steps in reverse to put the upholstery back on again.
Maintenance
Clean the plastic parts with mild soap and warm water.
Wash the upholstery and fabric parts by following the washing instructions indicated on the different fabric care labels.
