These instructions are to accompany the device when it is passed on to others. The manufacturer and importer assume no liability in the event the data in these instructions have not been observed!

Proper use

This device is designed for grating and slicing fruits, vegetables, hard cheeses and chocolate.
This device is not suitable for processing very hard foods (e.g. nutmeg, coffee beans or grains).
The device is not a meat mincer! The device is not suitable for mincing meat.

The device is intended for domestic, not commercial, use.
Only use the device as described in these instructions. Any other use is deemed improper.

Risks of injury

Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from children and animals.
The device is not a toy! Do not leave children and animals unattended with the device.
- Keep your head, hands, hair, jewellery or clothing away from rotating parts of the device.
Do not reach into the fill chute to push down food. Only use the plunger to push down food.
The blades and rasps of the cutting inserts are sharp! Be careful when removing and loading cutting inserts in the holder for the cutting insert.
Turn the device off before inserting or removing the holder for the cutting insert or before inserting or removing the fill chute. Only grasp the plastic surfaces of the holder for the cutting insert when loading or removing the holder.
Store this device out of the reach of children! Children must be closely supervised if they are nearby when the device is being used.

Do not use the device if it is damaged.

For your health

The device may still contain production residues. To avoid health risks, clean the device thoroughly before first use (see chapter "Cleaning and storage").
Do not use any spoiled food. Never store the food longer than indicated by the best before date.

Clean the device after every use to prevent the formation of germs (see chapter "Cleaning and storage").

Risk of electric shock and fire

Do not use the device if easily flammable gases are present in the air.
- Only connect the device to a properly installed socket with protective earth contacts. The socket must also be easily accessible after the device has been connected. The mains voltage must correspond to the technical data of the device (see chapter "Technical data"). Only use proper extension cords, whose technical data correspond to those of the device.
- Lay the cable such that it is not crushed or creased and such that it does not come into contact with hot surfaces.

Pull the plug out of the socket:

• before inserting and/or removing the cutting insert holder or fill chute,

• if you are not using the device,
  before a storm or
  before you clean the device.

If you want to remove the plug from the socket, never pull on the cable, but always on the plug.
- Never submerge the device in water or other liquids! Ensure that the device, cable or plug do not fall in water or are at risk of getting wet. If the device falls in water, immediately disconnect the power supply. Do not attempt to pull the device out of the water when it is connected to the power supply!

Never touch the device, the cable or the plug with wet hands.

Never cover the device with a cloth or the like. Danger of overheating!
- Maintain a sufficient distance to heat sources, e.g. hobs or ovens.

Notes on use

Check the device for damages prior to each use. If the device, the cable or the plug exhibit visible damages, the device may not be used. Do not use the device if it malfunctions, has fallen down or in water.
If the device, cable or plug are defective, do not attempt to perform any repairs yourself. In the event of damage, contact a local qualified professional or customer service.

Only use the device in enclosed areas.

Always place the device on a dry, level, firm, and heat resistant surface and at an adequate distance to flammable objects. If necessary, place a heat-resistant base under the device.
- Maintain adequate distance to heat sources such as stovetops or ovens in order to prevent damage to the device.
Ensure that the connected cable does not pose a tripping hazard. Do not allow the cable to hang over the edge of a table or kitchen worktop. Someone could catch him / herself and pull down the device.

Do not pull or carry the device by the cable.
Do not insert any objects (spoons, knives etc.) in the fill chute or front opening of the fill chute while the device is operating.
The device is not suitable for continuous operation. Do not use the device continuously for more than two minutes.
Do not operate the device for prolonged periods without food.
In the event of damages/malfunctions, immediately deactivate the device.
Do not leave the device activated when unattended.
Only use original spare parts provided by the manufacturer.
Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe temperature fluctuations or direct sunlight.

Warranty conditions

Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts at repair are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to normal wear and tear.

Cutting inserts

Cutting insert for cutting thin slices

This insert is suitable for cutting foods such as carrots, zucchini, potatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, onions, beets, red cabbage, white cabbage, apples and hard cheeses.

Cutting insert for cutting thick slices

This insert is suitable for cutting foods such as carrots, zucchini, potatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, onions, beets, red cabbage, white cabbage, apples and hard cheeses.

Grating insert for coarse grating

This insert is suitable for grating foods such as carrots, zucchini, potatoes, bell peppers, hard cheeses (e. g. parmesan) or chocolate.

Grating insert for fine grating

This insert is suitable for finely grating foods such as carrots, zucchini, hard cheeses (e. g. parmesan), chocolate or coconuts.

Prior to first use

Before using the device for the first time you must:

• unpack the product contents,
• clean the device.

Unpacking the product contents

ATTENTION!

Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from children and animals.

Unpack all parts and make sure that the product contents are complete (see chapter "Product contents and device overview") and check for any damages from transport. Remove all foils from the cutting inserts. If any components are damaged, do not use them (!). Instead contact the customer service department.

Cleaning the device

Production residues may still be stuck to the device and the cutting inserts. To avoid health risks, clean all parts thoroughly before first use (see chapter "Cleaning and storage").

Assembling the device

ATTENTION!

• Keep children away from the device during operation.
  Only use the device if it has been completely and correctly assembled!
  During operation, do not reach into the holder for the cutting insert while it is rotating or into the fill chute.
• Keep your hair and clothing away from the rotating device parts.
• Be careful when handling the cutting inserts, the blades are sharp! When removing or inserting the holder for the cutting insert, only take hold of the plastic parts and never touch the blades directly!
  Turn off the device and pull the plug out of the socket before inserting or removing the holder for the cutting insert to prevent the device from accidentally activating!
  Do not use the device continuously for more than two minutes!
  Do not forcefully push food into the fill chute.

For best results when cutting and slicing, we recommend cutting foods into smaller pieces before inserting them in the fill chute. This makes it easier to push the foods down with the plunger.

Always follow the order described below when assembling the device:

I. Inserting the fill chute
2. Place the cutting insert in the holder for the cutting insert
3. Place the holder for the cutting insert in the device

Insert/remove the fi II chute

I. Hold the fill chute tilted slightly to the right so that the arrow on the fi ll chute is pointing towards the open lock symbol on the motor unit. Then place it in the motor unit.

1. Turn the fill chute to the left until it locks into place and the arrow on the fi II chute is pointing towards the closed lock symbol.

2. To release the fill chute, turn the holder to the right until the arrow on the fill chute is pointing towards the open lock symbol again. Then remove the fill chute from the motor unit.

Loading / removing the cutting inserts in the holder for the cutting insert

1. Turn the locking mechanism on the back of the holder for the cutting insert until the opening for the cutting inserts is exposed.

2. Select a suitable cutting insert pair (also see chapter "Product contents and device overview", section "Cutting inserts").

1. Slide the desired cutting inserts into the opening. In the process, make sure that the respective cutting insert is correctly inserted on the front side and is not left to hang.

1. Turn the locking mechanism on the back of the holder for the cutting insert until the opening for the cutting inserts is blocked and thus fixed in place.

2. Open the locking mechanism on the back of the holder for the cutting insert to remove the cutting inserts and pull out the cutting inserts.

Loading / removing the holder for the cutting insert

I. Place the holder for the cutting insert in the motor unit. Make sure that the holder for the cutting insert is properly positioned on the drive shaft.

1. Place the fastener for locking the holder for the cutting insert on the fill chute. Turn the fastener towards the LOCK arrow to tighten it.

1. To remove the holder for the cutting insert, turn the rotating fastener towards the OPEN arrow in order to open the fastener.

2. Take the holder for the cutting insert off of the drive shaft.

Using the device

I. Assemble the device as described in the chapter "Assembling the device".
2. Set up the device on a level, non-slip surface.
3. Only connect the device to a properly installed socket. The socket must also be easily accessible after the device has been connected.
4. Place a bowl under the opening of the fill chute or holder for the cutting insert to collect your food.
5. Turn on the device by pushing the On / Off switch.
6. Insert the food to be processed in the fi II chute.
7. Use the plunger to push down food.
8. Push the On / Off switch again to turn off the device.
9. Disconnect the plug from the socket after use.
10. Clean the device and accessories after every use as described in the chapter "Cleaning and storage".

Cleaning and storage

ATTENTION!

Prior to each cleaning, pull the plug out of the socket.
Never submerge the motor unit in water or other liquids.
Be careful when handling the cutting inserts, the blades are sharp!

When cleaning, do not use any scouring or abrasive cleaners. They could damage the surface.

• If necessary, wipe the motor unit off with a damp, soft cloth. Then wipe the device off completely with a dry cloth.
• Clean the holder for the cutting insert, cutting inserts, fill chute and plunger with clean, warm water and a small amount of mild detergent.
• Store the device in a dry area that is not accessible to children and animals.

Troubleshooting

If the device is not working properly, please check whether you are able to rectify the problem yourself. Otherwise contact the customer service department.

Do not attempt to repair a defective device yourself!
