Suitable for use with food.
Proper use
This device is intended to slice firm foods like bread, semi-hard cheese or sausage. It must not be used to slice very hard foods (e.g. frozen foods, bones) or other substances (e.g. wood).
The device is intended for domestic, not commercial use.
- Only use the device for the intended purpose and only as described in the instruction manual. Any other use is deemed improper.
Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts at repair are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to normal wear and tear.
Safety instructions

Risks of injury
Caution! Danger of suffocation! Children and animals must be kept away from the packaging material.
This device may not be used by children. The device and its connection line must be kept away from children.
This device may be used by persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental abilities or who lack experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the device safely and have understood risks arising from using the device.
Children may not play with the device.
If the device is not supervised, before assembling, disassembling or cleaning the device, it must always be disconnected from the power supply.
- Risk of injury associated with sharp blade! Never touch the cutting surface of the cutting blade. Always use the slicing carriage and the finger guard for cutting.
- Never attempt to stop the cutting blade from the outside while it is rotating. Always use the switch to stop it.
After deactivation, the drive will continue to run for a short time.
Set the slice thickness to 0 after use.
- Risk of injury due to rotating device parts! Keep clothing, jewellery and hair away from the device.
The connected mains cord may not pose a tripping hazard. Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of tables or kitchen worktops. Someone could catch him/herself and pull down the device.
Store the device in a clean place out of reach of children and animals.

Risk of electric shock and fire
Only use the device in enclosed areas.
Always place the device on a dry, level, solid and clean surface with adequate space around it.
- Keep a sufficient distance from heat sources, e.g. hobs, ovens, burning candles, gas sources and or open flames.
- Choose a location for setting up the device where there is no risk of the device, the mains cord or the mains plug falling or coming into contact with water or other liquids. Do not place objects flled with liquids, such as vases, on or near the device.
- Never immerse the device in water or other liquids and never hold it under running water. If the device does fall in water, immediately disconnect the power supply.
Never touch the cord or plug with wet hands.
After cleaning all parts must be dry before the device can be connected to the mains.
- Only connect the device to a properly installed socket with protective earth contacts. The socket must also be easily accessible after the device has been connected. The mains voltage must correspond to the technical data of the device. Only use proper extension cords, whose technical data correspond to those of the device.
- Lay the cord such that it is not crushed or creased and such that it does not come into contact with hot surfaces.

For your health
There may be some production residues stuck to the device. Therefore, clean the device before first use. For hygienic reasons, you should also clean the device if there is leftover food on the cutting blade after use (see chapter "Cleaning").

Beware of damage to the device
Only use the device once it has been properly assembled and the device, the mains cord or the mains plug does not exhibit any visible damages. Do not use the device if it malfunctions, has fallen down or in water.
If the device, the mains cord or the mains plug is defective, do not attempt to repair it yourself but have it repaired by a qualified professional. In the event of damage, contact the customer service department.
Only use the enclosed accessories from the manufacturer.
- Do not allow the device to fall and do not expose it to severe percussions.
- Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe changes in temperature, direct sunlight or moisture.
Do not overheat the motor! Let the device cool off (for approx. 30 minutes) after no more than 10 minutes of continuous operation!
Before a storm or if you encounter an error during operation, pull the mains plug out of the socket.
Always pull on the plug itself and never on the cord.
Do not wrap the cord around the appliance.
- Do not disassemble the device and do not insert any objects into it.
Never place heavy objects on the device.

Before first use

ATTENTION!
Caution! Danger of suffocation! Children and animals must be kept away from the packaging material.
- Unpack all parts.
- Make sure that the product contents are complete (see chapter "Product contents and device overview") and check for any damages from transport. Do not use device/parts if it/they are damaged(!): instead contact customer service.
- Remove any existing protective foils and stickers from the device.
- Clean the device (see chapter "Cleaning").

ATTENTION!
Risk of injury associated with sharp blade! Never touch the cutting surface of the cutting blade. Always use the slicing carriage and the finger guard for cutting.
Always check the cutting blade to ensure a secure fit.
Risk of injury due to rotating device parts! Keep clothing, jewellery and hair away from the device.
Do not overheat the motor! Let the device cool off (for approx. 30 minutes) after no more than 10 minutes of continuous operation!

- It is easier to cut cheese, sausage and meat if they have been cooled (not frozen!).
- Allow freshly baked bread to cool off completely before cutting it.
Before slicing
- Always place the device on a dry, flat, firm and clean surface. Press the suction feet (6) firmly onto the surface.

- Place the finger guard (4) on ring on the handle of slicing carriage (9). The high side must be pointing towards the guide wall (10).
- Ensure that the On/Off switch (7) is set to the 0 position.
- Insert the mains plug in a properly installed socket that is easily accessible.
Slicing
- We recommend to place a chopping board or a plate next to the device to collect the sliced food.
- Use the lever (8) to set the desired cutting width (to 20mm possible).
- Pull the slicing carriage (5) back as far as it will go.

Place the food you intend to slice between the finger guard (4) and guide wall (10).

Set the On/Off switch (7) to the 1 position to activate the device.
- Push the food you intend to slice gently against the guide wall using the finger guard and use the slicing carriage to slowly push it against the rotating cutting blade (1).
- To cut more slices, pull the slicing carriage back and cut the next slice.
- To switch off the device, set the On/Off switch to the 0 position.
After slicing
- Pull the mains plug out of the socket.
- Set the cutting width to 0.
- Push the slicing carriage up to the stop point towards the cutting blade.
- If there is leftover food on the cutting blade, especially when cutting fatty foods (e.g. sausage, cheese), clean the cutting blade and device (see chapter "Cleaning").
Cleaning

ATTENTION!
Risk of injury associated with sharp blade! Never touch the cutting surface of the cutting blade; instead always grasp the holder.
Pull the mains plug out of the socket before you clean the device!
Danger of electrocution! Never immerse the device in water or other liquids and never hold it under running water. Never touch the device, cord or plug with wet hands.
Caution! Damage to the device! The device and the accessories are not suitable for the dishwasher!
The surfaces could be damaged as a result! Do not use any aggressive or abrasive cleaners or cleaning pads.
- Pull the slicing carriage back as far as it will go.
- Take the finger guard off of the device.
- Unscrew the locking screw (2) clockwise.
- Carefully remove the cutting blade.
- Wipe off the device with a damp cloth. You can also rinse the finger guard and cutting blade with water and a mild detergent.
- Dry off all parts.
- Insert the cutting blade back in the device and tighten the locking screw by turning it counterclockwise.
