Introduction

Please familiarise yourself with the heating pad before getting started and using it for the first time. To do so,
please carefully read the following operating instructions and the important safety information. Use the heating pad only as described and for the stated areas of use. Keep these instructions in a safe place. If you pass the heating pad on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation.
Intendeduse
This heating pad is intended for applying heat to the human body. It can be used to apply heat to the back & neck. This heating pad is not suitable for use in hospitals or for any other commercial use. In particular it must not be used for babies or infants, persons who are insensitive to heat, helpless persons, or animals. Any use other than that described above or modification of the heating pad are not permissible and may lead to injury and / or damage to the heating pad. The manufacturer assumes no liability for damage arising out of improper use.

The following safety instructions and hazard warnings are not only intended to protect your own health and the health of others, but also to prevent damage to the heating pad. Please observe these safety instructions and pass on this operating manual together with the heating pad.
SCALDING HAZARD!
This heating pad may not be used by persons insensitive to heat and other persons in need of protection who do not respond to overheating (e.g. diabetics, persons with skin changes caused by illness or scarred skin areas in the application area, after using analgesics or alcohol). There is a risk of receiving skin burns.
WARNING This heating pad may not be used for very young children (0-3 years), as they are unable

to react to overheating. There is a risk of receiving skin burns.
This heating pad may not be used by young children (3-8 years) unless the control unit was set by a parent or a supervising person and the child was adequately instructed on the safe use of the heating pad. There otherwise is a risk of burns.
This heating pad may be used by older children age 8 and up, and persons with diminished physical, sensory or mental capacities or lacking experience and knowledge when supervised and instructed on the safe use of the heating pad and understand the associated risks.
Children must be supervised to prevent them from playing with the heating pad. There is a risk of injury.
Children must not perform clean or maintain the product without supervision. There is a risk of injury.
This heating pad is not intended for hospital or commercial use. This poses a risk of injuries and / or damage to the heating pad.

WARNING!
Do not insert needles or
pointed objects into the heating pad. There is a risk of electric shock.

WARNING!
Do not switch on the
heating pad whilst folded or pushed together. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.
Do not use when wet! Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
This heating pad may only be operated together with the control unit specified on the label. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.
The electric and magnetic fields emitted by this heating pad could potentially interfere with the functionality of your pacemaker. However, the levels are far below the permissible limits: electric field strength: max. 5000V / m , mag netic field strength: max. 80A / m , magnetic flux density: max. 0.1 milli-Tesla. Therefore please consult your physician and the manufacturer of your pacemaker before using this heating pad.
- Do not pull, twist or kink the cables. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.
Frequently check the heating pad for wear or damage. If signs thereof are detected, the heating
pad was used improperly or will no longer heat up, it must first be inspected by the manufacturer before being switched on again.
If the power cord of the heating pad is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service department, or a similarly qualified person, to avoid hazards.
With the heating pad switched on, never
- place objects on it (e.g. suitcases or clothes baskets),
- place a heating source such as a hot-water bottle, heating pad or similar items on it. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.
The electronic components inside the control unit will heat up whilst operating the heating pad. For this reason, the control unit must not be covered or be lying on the heating pad during operation. This poses a risk of injuries and / or damage to the heating pad.
Always observe the information on start-up, cleaning and care, and storage.

- Safetysystem
Note: The heating pad is equipped with a safety system. The electronic sensor technology prevents the entire surface of the heating pad from overheating by automatically switching off in the event of a fault. If the safety system switches the heating pad off automatically due to a fault, then the function display 2 on the control unit 1 is no longer illuminated, even if the heating pad is switched on.
Please note that, for safety reasons, the heating pad must not be used after a fault and must be returned to the service address indicated.
Start-up
Note: The heating pad may smell of plastic the first time you use it, but this will disappear after a short period of time.
To begin, first connect the control unit 1 to the heating pad with the plug-in connector 3 (see fig. B).
Position the heating pad on your back so that the fastener for the neck section is in the throat area.
Then close the fastener.
Then adjust the length of the belt around your stomach and fit the two ends of the connector together (see Fig. C) to fasten the belt.
To open the belt, press the two catches on the connector at the same time (see Fig. C).
- Switching on/off/Selecting the temperature
Switching on:
Set the control unit to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 to switch on the heating pad.
Note: The function display 2 illuminates after the heating pad is switched on.
Note: This heating pad features rapid heating, which allows it to heat up within the first 10 minutes of operation.
Switching off:
Set the control unit to 0 to switch off the heating pad.
Note: The operating display 2 will switch off.
Selecting the temperature:
Just before using the heating pad, set it to the highest temperature setting (setting 6). This will cause the heating pad to warm up quickly.
When using the heating pad for several hours, set it to the lowest temperature setting (setting 1).
WARNING! When operating the heating pad for several hours, we commend setting the control unit 1 to the lowest setting to prevent overheating and potential burns to the part of the body heat is applied to.
- Temperaturelevels
Set the required temperature level on the control unit [1] (see fig. A).
Level0:off
Level 1: minimum heat
Level 2-5: customised heat
Level 6: maximum heat
Automaticswitch-off
Note: The heating pad switches itself off automatically after about 90 minutes. The function display 2 then starts to flash.
Then select the setting 0 and after about 5 seconds, reset the heating pad to the desired temperature setting to switch it on again.
If the heating pad is no longer used after the timer expires:
- switch off the heating pad (setting 0),
- unplug from the socket,
- disconnect the plug-in connection 3, i.e. the control unit 1 from the heating pad.
- Cleaning and care
DAIITIONING! LIFE BY ELECTRIC SHOCK! Always remove the mains plug from the socket and the plug-in connector 3 with the control unit 1 from the heating pad (see fig. B) before cleaning the heating pad. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
Use a dry, lint-free cloth for control unit cleaning and care.
RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT OR PROPERTY! Never immerse the control unit 1 in water or other liquids. It may otherwise be damaged.
If the heating pad is slightly soiled, use a dampened cloth and a little liquid mild detergent, if necessary.
RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT OR PROPERTY! Do not use chemical cleaning or scouring agents to clean the heating pad and control unit 1. The heating pad and control unit 1 may otherwise be damaged.

For ecological reasons, please only wash the heating pad together with other textiles. Use a mild laundry detergent according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Please note that frequent washing will cause wear to the heating pad. It should therefore be washed no more than max. 10 times in a washing machine throughout its useful life.

Disposal

The packaging and ancillary packing consist of environmentally friendly materials. They can be disposed of at your local recycling facility.

Do not dispose of electric equipment in the household waste!
In accordance with the European Directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its transposition into national law, used electrical equipment must be collected separately and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn out heating pad.
Warranty/Service centre
We provide a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase for defects in material and manufacture of the heating pad.
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage from improper use.
- Wearparts.
- Damage caused by the customer.
If the device has been opened by an unauthorized repair shop.
This warranty does not affect the customer's legal rights. The customer must provide proof of purchase in order for any warranty claims within the warranty
