3. PREFACE
Thank you for buying this TV! Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the TV. Make sure the TV was not damaged in transit. If the TV is damaged, do not install it and contact the Westinghouse Customer Service.
4. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Put the TV on a stable surface.

Do not place any material on the TV.

Do not use the TV with fixtures other than those provided or suggested by the manufacturer.

Do not block or cover the ventilation openings on the TV. If you have a wall mount, check that it is steady.

Power cord and cables must be properly routed and protected to prevent people from stepping on them and causing the TV to fall.

Keep the TV dry and away from humidity.

Keep the TV away from heat sources.

Unplug the TV before cleaning it. Do not use solvent or liquid to clean theTV.
Only clean the TV with a soft and dry cloth.

In case of troubleshooting, do not use spare parts other than those suggested by the manufacturer. Using inadequate spare parts can lead to electric shocks, short-circuits, fire or other incidents.

Unplug the TV during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.

6. OVERVIEW

Front View
- Press "INPUT" to select the input source.
- Press "MENU" to bring up the main menu on the screen.
- Press "CH▲" or "CH▼" to scan through channels.
- Press "VOL+ or "VOL- to increase or decrease the volume.
- Press "POWER" button to turn the TV on or off.
- REMOTE SENSOR: infrared sensor for the remote control.
- POWER INDICATOR: Blue when TV is powered on. Red when TV is powered off. No color when power switch is turned off.

Back View and Control Connections
- AC IN and POWER SWITCH: Main power input.
- HDMI1/HDMI2/HDMI3: Connect the HDMI output jack of DVD.
- VGA(PC): Connect the PC-RGB output jack of PC.
- PC AUDIO: Connect the Audio output jack of PC.
- YPbPr1/YPbPr2: Connect the YPbPr output jack of DVD or VCR.
- Y-L/R1, Y-L/R2: For YPbPr audio.
- S-VIDEO: Connect the S-Video output jack of DVD or VCR.
- COAX out: Connect the COAX receiver.
- VIDEO 1/2: Connect the Video output jack of DVD or VCR. L/R 1/2: For VIDEO audio. (L/R1 Shared with S-Video)
10.RF-IN:Connect the antenna. - USB SERVICE: USB Port for Factory Use Only.

7. INSTALLATION
Power Cord Connection
- Connect the power cord into AC IN as shown below.
- Make sure the power switch is turned on, which is located at the back of the TV.

Antenna Connection
To ensure good picture and sound, TV antenna system needs to be installed. The antenna system as shown can be sourced from TV equipment shops, which will provide service for correct installation and connection. After installation, insert the 75-ohm antenna plug into the antenna jack as shown.

AV/S-VIDEO Connection
Connect the Video/S-VIDEO and AUDIO output jack of a DVD or VCR to the AV(S-VIDEO) jacks on the set using a RCA(S-VIDEO) cable. Match the jack color: Video is yellow, Audio left is white, and Audio right is red. Select the AV/S-VIDEO source using the INPUT button on the remote control.

YPbPr(Component) Connection
Connect the YPbPr output of a DVD or VCR to the YPbPr input on the TV. The picture quality is improved; compared to connecting a regular VCR to the video input. Connect the Audio output of a DVD or VCR to the Audio input jacks on the set using a RCA cable.
Match the jacks colors: Y is green, Pb is blue, Pr is red, Audio left is white and Audio right in red. Select component input source using the INPUT button on the remote control.

VGA(PC) Connection
Connect the RGB output of a PC to the VGA(PC) jack on theTV. Connect the AUDIO output of a PC to the PCAUDIO jack on the TV. Select the input source with the INPUT button on the remote control.

COAX Connection
Connect to Audio Amplifier device to the COAX output jack on the TV.

HDMI Connection
HDMI plug which replaces the HDMI connection allows transfer of all audio/video/control signals through one cable only. These signals are transferred in digital.

8. REMOTE CONTROL
Remote control instructions in TV mode

POWER
Turn the LCD TV ON or OFF.
INPUT
Press INPUT to display the OSD input source, press to select an input source, and then press OK to confirm.
NUMBER BUTTONS
Press 0-9 to directly change the TV channel.
Press this button to enter a program number for multiple program channel such as 2-1,etc.

Return to the previous channel viewed.
PICTURE
Select the picture mode
SOUND
Select the sound mode
SLEEP
Set the Sleep Timer.
DISPLAY
Displays the source and channel information.
MENU
Displays the main TV menu.
EXIT
Exit the main TV menu.
MUTE
Press to mute the sound. Press again or press VOL+ to un-mute the TV.
VOL+/VOL-
Press to increase / decrease the sound level.
CH+/CH-
Press to scan through channels.
THUMBSTICK(▲/▼/▲/▶/OK)
Allows you to navigate the on-screen menus and adjust the system settings to your preference.
CC
Press to set the closed caption.
MTS
Press to adjust between available audio channel.
ASPECT
Press to select Aspect Ratio.
FAV
Press to display the TV favourite program list.
Remote control setup
- Open the cover.
- Uses AAAsize batteries. When inserting the batteries, make sure correct polarities "+"and "-" marks on the batteries line up correctly with compartment markings.
- Replace the battery cover.
To prevent battery leakage which may result in bodily injury or damage to the remote:
- Install all batteries correctly, and as marked on the remote control.
- Do not mix batteries: (OLD and NEW or CARBON and ALKALINE, etc)
Remove batteries when the remote is not used for a long period of time.

SELECT INPUT SOURCE

Press INPUT button on the TV set or remote control to display input source menu, and use CH▲/▼ button on the TV set or / button on remote control to select the input source, press OK button on the remote control to enter.
Note: Before you select the input source, make sure the connections are prepared.
BASIC OPERATION
Press MENU button to display the OSD menu as below:

Use K > button to select the main menu, and press button to enter the submenu. In the submenu, use button to select the function item, press < /> button to adjust/setup, or press button to enter the submenu.
* (Press MENU button to return to the upper menu.)
* (Press EXIT button to exit the menu display.)
Note1: Only when you input the suitable signal, the relevant items can be activated Note2: Please operating the OSD menu according to hint on the bottom of the banner.
Picture menu

Description
Picture mode: Select between Standard, Dynamic, Natural, Movie and Energy Saving and User.
You may select the picture mode directly by pressing the PICTURE button on the remote control.
Note: when select the "Energy Saving", the machine is in energy-saving status.
Contrast: Control the difference between the bright and dark regions of the screen picture.
Brightness: Adjust brightness of the picture.
Color: Adjust color of the picture.
Tint: Control the fresh tones to make them appear natural.
Sharpness: Set the amount of fine detail in the picture.
Color Temp.: Select between Normal, Cool and Warm.
Blue Screen: Turn on/off the Blue Screen function when there's no signal.
Audio menu

Description
Sound Mode: Select your desired picture mode as follow: Standard, Music, Movie and User.
You may select the sound mode directly by pressing the SOUND button on the remote control.
Bass: Low frequency intensity.
Treble: High frequency intensity.
Balance: Left and right stereo audio channels balance.
Surround Sound: Activate or deactivate the Surround function.
AVC: Turn on/off the auto volume control functor.
SPDIF Type: Allows you to select between PCM and RAW.
Audio Language: Select audio language.
Time menu

Description
Sleep timer: You may set the automatic shutdown timer choosing from 5 to 240 minutes, or deactivate this function.
Time zone: Select between Pacific, Alaska, Hawaii, Eastern, Central and Mountain.
Daylight Saving Time: Select between On and Off.
Clock: User can not change time manually during digital TV mode as time comes from signal source directly.
Setup menu

Description
Menu Language: Select OSD menu language.
Transparency: Turn on or off the transparency menu function.
Zoom Mode: Select the zoom mode.
Noise reduction: Select the noise reduction mode between Strong, Off, Weak and Middle.
Advanced: If the video input signal comes from your PC, you may adjust the V-Position, H-Position, Clock, Phase or even perform an Auto adjustment.
Closed Caption:


CC Mode: Allow you to select the CC Mode among: On, Off and CC on Mute.
Basic Selection: Allow you to select the basic selection among: CC1, CC2, CC3, CC4, Text1, Text2, Text3 and Text4.
Advanced Selection: Allow you to select the advanced selection among: Service1, Service2, Service3 Service4, Service 5 and Service 6.
Option: Use thumbstick buttons to operating in option menu as your desire.
DLC: Activate/deactivate the automatic dynamic brightness function.
Restore Default: Restore all settings in SETUP menu to factory settings.
Lock menu
You must enter the password to gain access to the Lock menu. The default password is 0000. You may modify the following options:

Description
Change password: Change the password, you must enter the new password twice to confirm it.
Note: Do not forget the password.
System Lock: Allow you to turn on or off the system lock.
This option menu allows you to lock any TV channel or adjust the Movie rating filter. US:

TV: Use / buttons to select the desired rating and press > button to block or unblock rating.
MPAA: The Movie rating (MPAA) is used for original movies rated by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) as broadcasted on cable TV and not edited for television.
Use / button to select N/A, G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17 or X.
Canada:
G: General Audiences. Movie is appropriate for all ages.
PG: Parental Guidance Suggested. May contain material not suited for younger viewers.
PG-13: Contains content that may not be appropriate for viewers under the age of 13.
R: Restricted. Contains adult content, no one under 17 admitted without parent.
NC-17: No one 17 and under admintted.
X: Adults only.

Canada English: Select among: E, C, C8+, G, PG, 14+ and 18+.
Canada French: Select among: E, G, 8ans+, 13ans+, 16ans+ and 18ans+.
Reset RRT: Allow you to reset the RRT setting. Clear Lock: Allow you to clear all the locks above.
Channel menu

Description
Air/Cable: Allow you to select antenna between Air and Cable.
If you select "Cable", the following items(Favorite, Show/Hide, Channel NO, Channel Label and DTV Signal) are unable to use.
Auto Scan: Enter the Auto Scan menu to start auto scan.
If you select "Cable" as input signal in Antenna item, allows you to select Cable System among: Auto, STD, IRC and HRC. Use V button to highlight the "Start to Scan", then press > button to search the channels automatically. The receivable channels will be stored automatically. When searching channels, press MENU to stop.
If you select "Air" as input signal in Antenna item, you can press button to search the channels automatically. The receivable channels will be stored automatically. When searching channels, press MENU to stop. NOTE: It will take a while to auto scan in NTSC or ATSC mode, please wait patiently.


Favorite: Allow you to add these channels which you desired as the favorite channels.
Use / button to highlight the desired item, then press OK button to add or remove the highlighted channel as favorite.


Show/Hide: Allow you to show or hide the channels.
Use / button to highlight the desired item, then press OK button to show or hide the highlighted channel.

Channel No.: Show and select the channel.
Channel Label: Allow you to setup a label for the channel.
Press / button to select the position of the table, and press < /> button to select the words.
DTV Signal: Show the quality of digital signal: good, Normal, Bad.
10. Troubleshooting
Please check if you can solve problems by troubleshooting yourself.

| No signal | Please check that all cables are correctly plugged in. |
| No color shades | Adjust the contrast, the color and the brightness. |
| Stain on the screen | May be the result from a lighting signal from car, motor, neon light and other electrical devices or appliances. |
| Double or multiple display image | May be the result of an electrical wave disturb from other TV, Computer and Game machine or Radio. |
| Snow on the screen | The cables of the antenna are not correctly plugged in. |
| The remote control does not work | Please check the batteries order and alignment. Check that the IR of the remote control is not hidden by something. |
| "Zip" made noise on TV cover | Even if the display image is correct, the noise may come from an unsteady fixation of the panel. |
| No sound | Make sure that you have not press the MUTE button of the panel or of the remote control. |
