How to start the appliance?

Assemble the blender jug onto the motor unit by aligning the symbols, fill it with ingredients, place the lid and cap, plug in the appliance, then select the desired speed (1 to 5) or the P button for manual operation.

What to do if the appliance does not start?

Check that the blender jug is correctly assembled on the motor unit: the ▼ symbol must be aligned with the closed lock. If the problem persists, contact after-sales service.

How to clean the blender jug?

Unplug the appliance. Remove the jug from the motor unit, wash it with water and detergent, rinse thoroughly with clean water, then dry. For a quick rinse, you can put clean water and run the appliance for a few moments without detergent.

Can I blend hot liquids?

It is not recommended to blend hot preparations as the glass bowl could break. If you do, let it cool to below 60°C before pouring into the bowl. If the lid lifts, stop the appliance and release the pressure.

How to crush ice?

Use the P (pulse) button for manual use: press and hold it intermittently until you achieve the desired consistency.

Which speed to use for liquids?

For liquid ingredients, select speeds 1 or 2 (minimum speed).

How long can I use the appliance continuously?

The maximum continuous use time is indicated on the rating plate (usually noted KB xx min). After each use, respect a pause of at least 10 minutes to avoid damaging the motor.

How to correctly assemble the blender jug?

Place the jug on the motor unit so that the ▼ symbol on the jug is opposite the open lock on the unit, then screw until ▼ is aligned with the closed lock. You should be able to lift the motor unit by the jug handle.

What to do if the lid lifts during use?

Immediately stop the appliance (OFF button), unplug it, then remove the lid to release pressure. Replace the lid holding it firmly and resume operation.

Can I wash the motor unit with water?

No, never immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquid. Clean it only with a soft, slightly damp cloth.

Never immerse the motor base of your appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never place any piece of your appliance into the dishwasher.
Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.
Never use accessories that are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.
Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.

Only cook consumable food.
This kind of appliance cannot function continuously; it is not a professional type of appliance. It is necessary to make temporary stops. Check the section "Important information" in the instruction manual.
It is absolutely necessary to keep this appliance clean at all times as it comes into direct contact with food.
Make sure the appliance is unplugged before inserting, removing or cleaning the pouring jug.
The pouring jug should be mounted correctly on the motor base before you plug it into the mains. The appliance is equipped with a safety, which prevents the pouring jug from working if it is badly mounted. Furthermore the pouring jug should be locked so that the appliance can work.
Keep your hands outside the appliance when plugged in in order to avoid injuries.
Do not insert any object while in use, not even for helping the mixing of food.
Attention: the blades are sharp and therefore it is necessary to take particular precautions when using or cleaning.
Always close the jug with the lid before starting to mix. When mixing hot liquid, you have to be very careful in order to avoid splashing of hot liquid, otherwise you can get burned. Do not forget to close the feeding hole of the pouring jug with the cap.
Always close and hold the lid of the receptacle before starting to blend. In case the lid would come up during the mixing of hot preparations in particular (see "caution" on page 8-9), stop your appliance and take the lid off in order to release built-up pressure. Then restart the operation (with closed lid), holding the lid firm.

The appliance is designed for the preparation of small quantities of food, which have to be consumed rather quickly. It is not designed for the preparation of large quantities at once.
Do not touch the blades while the appliance is operating and do not try to block their movement in any way.
Do not use the appliance without any food in it.

Competent qualified electrician: after-sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In case of need you should return the appliance to this electrician.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This appliance is not intended for professional use. You should follow the requested breaks. Failure to follow this instruction carefully may result in damage to the motor. Please refer to the rating label for the maximum continuous usage time (KB xx min where xx is the maximum usage time). The breaks should last at least 10 minutes.

ATTENTION!

Your appliance is fitted with a security device on the pouring jug allowing the functioning of the appliance only when the jug and its lid are correctly placed on the motor base. If those conditions are met and the appliance does not start, call your after-sales service.

MOUNTING OF THE BLENDER AND USE

• Assemble the pouring jug on the motor block. You should place the symbol on the pouring jug in front of the opened padlock on the motor unit and then screw the pouring jug to the motor unit, so that the closed padlock ends up in front of the symbol . To check if it has been done correctly, it should be possible to raise the motor block with the handle of the pouring jug.
• Fill the pouring jug with the chosen ingredients.
• Put the lid on the pouring jug. Close the feeding hole of the lid with the cap. Make sure the two small lugs of the cap enter into the two small slots of the lid and turn the cap clockwise to lock it into place.
• Plug in the appliance.
• Select the speed that is most suitable for the ingredients you want to process.
  The button "P" allows a manual operation because you have to keep pushing it when functioning. This position is generally used to crush ice.
  Press button 1 or button 2 (minimal speed) for mainly liquid ingredients.
  Press button 3 (medium speed) for combinations of liquid and solid ingredients.
  Press button 4 or button 5 (maximum speed) for mainly solid ingredients.
  It is also possible to add liquids or other ingredients anytime without stopping the appliance. You only have to remove the stopper, which closes the lid opening, by turning it anticlockwise and raising it straight up.
• Once you have finished the preparation, stop the appliance (button OFF) and unplug the appliance.
• Unscrew the pouring jug. The symbol on the pouring jug should end up in front of the opened padlock on the motor unit.
• Remove the lid. Now you can serve the mixture.
• Caution: your appliance is not designed to mix hot preparations and the glass bowl could break otherwise. If nevertheless you wish to prepare hot drinks or soups, let the whole cool down to a temperature lower than about 60^ (tepid preparation) before pouring it into the glass bowl. In case the lid would come up in spite of the precautions mentioned in

section « Important safeguards », you can also empty part of the preparation and mix it in several times.

HOW TO CLEAN

Always unplug from outlet before cleaning.
For a quick rinsing of the pouring jug (for example between two preparations), you can use clear water and switch on your appliance for a few seconds. In this case, do not use any detergent.
For a full cleaning of the pouring jug, remove it from the motor block. Then you can clean it with soapy water and rinse thoroughly with clear water. Dry before assembling.
- You can wipe the motor block with a soft damp cloth.
