UK STYLE PLUG WIRING INSTRUCTIONS (IN THE UK ONLY)

This product must only be used from a 13 amp power socket. If a BS1363 approved 13 amp plug is used, it should be fitted with a 13 amp fuse. The wires on the power cord are colour coded: blue = neutral, brown = live, green or green & yellow = earth.

The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured in black.

The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured in red.

The green (& yellow) wire must be connected to the terminal marked E or coloured in green (& yellow).

ASSEMBLING THE VACUUM CLEANER

Always remove the plug from the power socket before fitting or removing accessories.
- Fitting the tube: insert the tube into the air intake duct on the top of the appliance and press until it clicks into position.
- Removing the tube: remove the plug from the power socket. To release the tube, press the button on the end of the tube and pull the tube firmly from the air intake duct.
- Fit the telescopic tube both to the handle and the floor brush.
- Removing telescopic tube and accessories: to remove the accessories, pull firmly apart.

OPERATION

Pull out a sufficient length of power cord and insert the plug into the power socket. A yellow mark on the power cable shows the ideal cable length. Do not extend the cable beyond the red mark.
- Press on the ON/OFF switch to switch the appliance on and off.
- To rewind the power cable, press the rewind button with one hand, and guide the cable with the other hand to ensure that it does not whip causing damage.
It is advisable to set the electronic power regulator to MIN before switching the appliance on.

USING THE CLEANING ACCESSORIES

The large brush is intended for cleaning of floor coverings and hard floors.
- When used for the suction of bare floor surfaces, pull out the brush. This can be done by pushing the switch at the left-hand side of the brush forwards. When pushing the other switch, the brush is ready for cleaning floor coverings.

DUST BAG AND FILTERS

• Replacing the dust bag.
  Always operate the cleaner with dust bag installed.
• Disconnect from electrical outlet before changing dust bag.
• Raise dust cover and pull out bag holder.
• Remove bag collar from bag holder and pull out dust bag.
• Put in new dust bag and close the dust cover.

Motor Filter

Filter should be rinsed clean at least three times a year or when it becomes visibly solid.

Air Filter

Always operate the cleaner with filter installed, otherwise, reduced suction or motor damage may result.
- Disconnect from electrical outlet, before cleaning filter.
- Pull filter supporter upward, then remove filter.
- Rinse filter in lukewarm water.
- Do not use a washing machine for rinsing filter nor use hair dryer for drying it.
- Allow the filter to dry completely before replacing it.

TIP

1. When cleaning stairs, we advise you to keep the unit in a vertical orientation.
2. The vacuum cleaner requires no other regular maintenance other than the filter cleaning and bag replacement tasks as detailed elsewhere.
3. We advise that you ensure the power cord does not become tangled or knotted, as this will impair the performance of the machine. Always ensure the unit is OFF and unplugged when de-knotting or untangling the power cord.
