UK STYLE PLUG WIRING INSTRUCTIONS (IN THE UK ONLY) This product must only be used from a 13 amp power socket. If a BS1363 approved 13 amp plug is used, it should be fitted with a 13 amp fuse. The wires on the power cord are colour coded: blue = neutral, brown = live, green or green & yellow = earth. The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured in black. The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured in red. The green (& yellow) wire must be connected to the terminal marked E or coloured in green (& yellow).
ASSEMBLING THE VACUUM CLEANER
Always remove the plug from the power socket before fitting or removing accessories. Fitting the tube: insert the tube into the air intake duct at the front of the appliance and rotate to the right. Removing the tube: remove the plug from the power socket. To release the tube, rotate to the left and pull the tube firmly from the air intake duct. Fit the telescopic tube both to the handle and the floor brush. Removing telescopic tube and accessories: to remove the accessories, pull firmly apart. OPERATION Pull out a sufficient of length of power cord and insert the plug into the power socket. A yellow mark on the power cable shows the ideal cable length. Do not extend the cable beyond the red mark. Press on the ON/OFF switch to switch the appliance on and off. To rewind the power cable, press the rewind button with one hand, and guide the cable with the other hand to ensure that it does not whip causing damage. It is advisible to set the electronic power regulator to MIN before switching the appliance on.
