ASSEMBLING THE VACUUM CLEANER

Always remove the plug from the power socket before fitting or removing accessories.
- Insert the hose connector (F) into hose connection inlet of the front cover (G) until it locks (Fig. 1). To remove the hose, press the release buttons of the hose connection and pull at the hose.
Fitting the telescopic tube to the handle (Fig. 2).
Fitting the telescopic tube to the floor brush (Fig. 3).
- You can adjust the length of telescopic tube according to your own size. To do so, hold the ring of the tube with one hand, and turn the lower tube a quarter of a turn clockwise. Then pull the lower part of the tube till it reaches the desired length. To lock the tube at the desired length, turn it a quarter of a turn anti-clockwise.
The floor brush is ideal for the daily cleaning of carpets and hard floors. It has two different settings (Fig. 4)

Setting with the bristles inside for cleaning carpets. Setting with the bristles outside for cleaning hard floors.

OPERATION

Pull out a sufficient length of power cord and insert the plug into the power socket. A yellow mark on the power cable shows the ideal cable length. Do not extend the cable beyond the red mark.
- Plug in the appliance. The power light (M) will come on, indicating that the appliance is ready for use. Switch it on by pressing the ON/OFF pedal.
It is advisable to set the electronic power regulator to MIN before switching the appliance on. By turning the regulator button, the suction power can be adjusted. Use high suction power for carpets and hard floors, and low suction power for delicate surfaces such as furniture or curtains.
- When you use the floor brush, make longitudinal to and fro movements (do not make lateral movements) and insist on the places that are dirtier, always keeping the sole of the floor brush in contact with the surface you want to vacuum. To clean under low pieces of furniture, hold the handle (A) and make a quarter of a turn with the hinge of the floor brush to put it in its lowest possible position. Make sure you still keep the sole of the floor brush in contact with the surface you want to clean.
Additional attachments are supplied to allow you cleaning all possible surfaces:

  • a crevice tool for surfaces that are hard to reach
  • a small brush for furniture and delicate surfaces

You will find these attachments in the accessory compartment (L) of the vacuum cleaner. These attachments can be mounted on the handle or on the tube.

The handle of the tube possesses a wind force adjuster that you can open or close to adjust the suction power. This feature comes in addition to the electronic power regulator.

WHEN CLEANING IS FINISHED

  • Stop the vacuum cleaner by depressing on the switch button.
  • Disconnect plug from electrical outlet.
  • Simply press lightly with your foot on cable rewind button on top of cleaner. If the cord does not enter completely in the appliance, pull 50~cm of the power cord out of the appliance and try again.

REPLACING THE DUST BAG AND CLEANING THE FILTERS

The filter system consists of: 1 Motor filter

1 Hepa filter, to vacuum the smallest particles

It is necessary to clean the filters regularly to avoid operating problems.

Replacing the dust bag

The dust bag level indicator indicates when the dust bag should be replaced.
- The hose might get blocked by a larger object. In this case the dust bag level indicator will be red. However this does not mean that you have to replace the dust bag. Just remove the object, which blocks your tube or flexible hose, and your appliance will function properly again. This might also occur when vacuuming a carpet. In this case, just remove the floor brush from the carpet. However, if the level indicator remains red, it is time to replace the dust bag.
- Unplug the appliance, remove the hose connector from the front cover and open the front cover.
- Remove the dust bag from its holder by slightly rotating it and throw it in the dustbin.
Put a new dust bag in the appliance, by sliding its carton part in the holder.
- Close the front cover by pressing it slightly. Connect the hose in the hose connection inlet. If you have some difficulties doing so, check if the paper dust bag was inserted properly in the appliance.

Motor protection filter

Clean this filter approximately every 3 months. To do so, take it out of the appliance and wipe it. You can also make use of some soapy water, but make sure it is completely dry before putting it back in the appliance.

Air Filter

This filter guarantees fresh air during cleaning. It should be rinsed clean at least three times a year or when it becomes visibly solid.
- Unplug the appliance, open the filter supporting grate situated at the back of the appliance and remove the filter. Replace it and close back the grate.

PRACTICAL HINTS

  • When cleaning stairs, we advise you to keep the unit in a vertical position.
The telescopic tube is equipped with a hook, allowing you to attach the tube either underneath the appliance for storing it, or to the rear part of the appliance when it is in use, for instance when you want to move piece of furniture.
The vacuum cleaner requires no other regular maintenance other than the filter cleaning and bag replacement tasks as detailed here above.

If you notice a loss of suction power, it is probably due to one or a combination of the following events: blocked filter, full or punctured bag or blockage in tubes. If your appliance still does not work properly after you have checked those problems, please ask a qualified electrician for advice.
