How to fill the water tank?

FILLING THE WATER TANK

Only use demineralised water. If you want to use the steam/dry dial fill the water tank as follows:

1) Unplug the iron from the outlet to let it cool down and set it horizontally on a stable level surface.
2) Turn the temperature dial to "MIN" and variable steam/dry dial to the Osetting.
3) Using a measuring cup, fill the tank with water through the fill opening. Close the lid of the fill opening.

TEMPERATURE SETTINGS

You can chose the temperature setting in function with the cloth to iron.
In order to turn the iron on, please turn the temperature knob clockwise into the required position (see table below).

DRY PRESSING

Turn on the iron.
- Set temperature dial for the desired fabric. Be sure to check the garment label for fibre content and set for the fabric requiring the lowest temperature.
- Turn the variable steam/dry dial on position.
- Set iron on heel rest and wait until temperature indicator light goes out. When the pilot light goes off, it means that the desired temperature is reached.

Put the variable steam/dry dial in O position and fill the water tank.
- Plug in the iron.
- Turn the temperature dial clockwise into the required position according to the garment you want to iron.
- Turn variable steam dial to the position for minimum steam or to the position for a larger amount of steam.
- Set the iron on its heel and wait until the temperature indicator goes out. When the pilot light goes off, it means that the desired temperature is reached.

CAUTION: Set the temperature dial within the steam range. If temperature setting is too low, water may drip from soleplate.

CAUTION: Check the garment label before ironing because some clothes may be damaged when exposed to steam or water.

SPRAY

• Produces a mist for removing stubborn creases.
  Spray can be used at any temperature setting and during either dry or steam pressing. Press down the spray button to spray.

STEAMJET

The steam jet feature provides additional steam for removing stubborn creases.

CLEANING

After using the iron for a long period of time and regularly (at least once every month) you can clean your iron by using the self-cleaning function as follows:

• Fill the water tank halfway and put the iron on its heel.
• Set the temperature dial to its highest position and let the iron heat up until the pilot lights goes out.
  Unplug the iron, turn the steam button to the self-clean position and shake the iron to the left and to the right above a sink. When doing so, press the steam jet button several times. Hot water and steam will come out of the soleplate. This way, dust particles can be eliminated.
• When the water tank is empty, turn the steam button to . O
• Pour water in the water tank, let the iron heat again and pass the soleplate on an old but clean cotton cloth. The water remaining in the soleplate will evaporate, which will complete the cleaning process.
• To clean the plastic parts of the iron, use a humid cloth.

WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED IRONING

• Turn temperature dial to "MIN" and unplug iron from electrical outlet.
• With soleplate facing away from you, turn iron upside down to empty water.
  Then store the hot iron on its heel rest so that any remaining moisture will evaporate.
