Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.
Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use. Keep out of reach of children or incompetent persons.
From time to time check the cord for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of damage. In that case, repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician ^() . Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified electrician ^() .
Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never put it in the dishwasher.
Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.
Never use accessories that are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.
Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.
Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
If your type of appliance has a separate base or a detachable cord, remove them from the water cooker when filling it. If your appliance has a fixed cord, unplug it before filling it.
When filling the jug, never exceed the MAX level indicated. If you exceed the maximum level, hot water might splash and this might cause injuries.
The metal housing of your jug kettle becomes very hot during use. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary to carry it by the handle.
When using, make sure the lid is closed correctly. Never raise the lid when the jug kettle is in use and when there are risks of hot water projection due to the bubbling.
Be careful not to get burned by the hot steam that evaporates when the water is boiling and especially when you open the lid.
Use only the base that is supplied with the jug kettle.
Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and storing it.

Competent qualified electrician : after sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In any case you should return the appliance to this electrician.

BEFORE THE FIRST OPERATION

For the perfect taste, operate the jug kettle with fresh water in order to clean any residue left from the manufacturing process. When the appliance has cooled down, repeat the process 3 times with fresh water, before rinsing.

OPERATION

Always remove the jug from the power base before filling it or before any operation.
- Raise the lid and fill the tank with fresh water paying attention not to exceed the MAX level indicated in the jug. This safeguard is very important.
- Close the lid by pressing it down until it you hear a click. Make sure it closes correctly.
- Put the jug onto the base, plug into the wall socket and switch on. The switch will illuminate. If it does not illuminate, check if the jug kettle is placed correctly on its base. If the problem persists, contact the nearest customer service.
- The jug kettle will switch off automatically when the water has boiled. However, you can switch it off anytime by pressing the switch.
- Keep the lid closed when pouring the water in order not to get burned.
To boil water for a second time after your appliance has switched off automatically after the first boiling process, wait until water has cooled down and switch on the appliance again.

SAFETY CUT-OUT

This jug kettle is protected with an automatic safety device if accidentally switched on without water.
In this case, switch off the appliance and wait about 10 minutes for the element to cool. Then fill the jug kettle with cold water. This will reset the safety device. The kettle may then be used as normal.
Should the problem persist, please contact the nearest customer service.
- To avoid any risk of operating the appliance without water, it is absolutely necessary to unplug the appliance after use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before attempting any cleaning operation, make sure the appliance is unplugged from the supply socket and fully cooled down.
To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
- Never use abrasive products
- On no account must the jug kettle or its power base be immersed in water.

DESCALING

To remove scale from the jug kettle, use products made especially available for this purpose and read their instruction manual carefully before use.
