Frequently Asked Questions - BG 2 TEAM

How to assemble the BG 2 barbecue?
Place the support table upside down, attach the 4 feet into the rubber ends respecting the angle. Fix the central tray with the provided screws, wing nuts facing outward. Turn the table over and check stability.
What amount of water should I put in the tank?
Fill the tank with approximately 1.5 litres of water, without exceeding the Max level. The water is used for cooling and evaporates during cooking; check the level regularly.
How to use the thermostat?
Set the thermostat to the desired temperature. The red indicator light turns on to indicate power on. It turns off when the temperature is reached. The light turns back on during cooking if the temperature drops.
What are the available grid heights?
There are 3 heights for the cooking grid (see page 2, drawing ②). Choose according to the desired cooking intensity: the higher the grid, the gentler the cooking.
Can I use charcoal or wood in this barbecue?
No, this appliance is electric. Do not use any fuel such as charcoal, combustion blocks, or lighting liquids. The only heat source is the heating element.
How to clean the barbecue?
Unplug and let cool completely. Disassemble the accessories. Clean the grid and drip tray in hot water with mild detergent. Never immerse the heating element, thermostat, or plug; wipe them with a slightly damp cloth and dry.
What to do if the power cord is damaged?
Do not use it. Have the cord replaced by a qualified competent service (manufacturer's or importer's after-sales service) to avoid any danger.
Can I use an extension cord?
If necessary, use an extension cord suitable for the appliance's power and with an earth plug. Avoid running the cord near hot surfaces.
Why does the indicator light flash?
The red indicator light turns on when the appliance heats up and turns off when the desired temperature is reached. It turns back on if the temperature drops. This behaviour is normal.
How to store the barbecue after use?
Let cool, clean and dry all elements thoroughly. Store in a dry place, away from dust. Do not leave the cord wrapped around the appliance.

  3. Turn the appliance on its feet to check its stability.

BEFORE FIRST USE

Clean the grill and the accessories (Cf. Cleaning and care). It is recommended to heat up the barbecue grill for about 10 minutes without any foodstuff in order to eliminate the grease that may have adhered during manufacture and the «new» smell.

  • Now put the foodstuffs onto the grill rack.
  • There are 3 grill positions (see page 2, picture ②), according to the desired cooking intensity.
    • The grilling times vary according to the nature of the foodstuffs and to your personal taste.
