How to descale my Proline WK17 kettle?

Use a specific descaling product for kettles. Fill the kettle with water and the descaler according to the product instructions, bring to a boil, then let it sit. Rinse thoroughly with clean water after descaling. Do not use pure vinegar or strong acid.

Why won't my kettle turn on?

Check that the kettle is properly placed on its base and that the base is plugged in. Make sure the on/off button is pressed. If the kettle has boiled dry, it may have shut off automatically: let it cool down then fill with water before trying again.

Can I heat milk or other liquids in my kettle?

No, this kettle is designed only for heating water. Heating milk or other liquids may damage the appliance and pose a burn risk. Use it exclusively for water.

How to clean the kettle filter?

Remove the filter from the lid by unclipping it. Wash it under running water using a soft brush if necessary. Replace it after drying. Never use the kettle without the filter.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

* Place the appliance on a stable flat surface before use.

* Be careful when opening the lid immediately after the water has boiled, the steam coming out of the kettle is very hot constituting a risk of scalding.

* Do not use the kettle to heat anything other than water. Never fill the kettle beyond the maximum level indication.

* Make sure the bottom of the kettle and the power base are dry be placing the kettle onto the power base.

OPERATION

Before first use, it is recommended to operate the kettle for 2 to 3 times following the instructions below. This will remove any dust or residues remaining from the manufacturing process.

1. Remove kettle from power base.
2. Fill kettle with desired amount of water through the spout or the open lid.
   Press and hold the lid release button to open the lid.
   The water amount ranges from the minimum amount 0.5L to the maximum amount 1.7L.
3. Close the lid by pressing it down until it clicks into place.

4. Place the kettle on the power base and insert the plug into the mains socket.

5. Press the power switch. The water is being heated.

* The power indicator light will illuminate.

1. The kettle will switch off automatically when the water boils.

* The power indicator light will go out.

* You can stop the boiling process by sti ng the power switch to "0".

NOTE: Use the kettle only when the lid is closed and the filter is in place.

Cut-out for boil-dry protection

If you operate the kettle without water, the kettle will stop heating and automatically switch off.

If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool before filling with cold water and re-boiling.

CLEANING AND DESCALING

Always unplug the appliance from the mains socket and allow it to cool down before cleaning.

Do not use chemical, steel wool or abrasive cleaner to clean the appliance.

Clean the outside of the kettle and the power base using a slightly damp cloth.

Remove the filter on the lid. Clean it under running water and then replace it.

Regularly descale the kettle using a specific descaler.

Wipe the inside of the kettle with a clean cloth.
