USER MANUAL TKG M 1000 KALORIK
Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance, and always follow the safety and operating instructions.
Important: People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance except if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they previously received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance. Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy.
Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.
Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
From time to time check the cord for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of damage. Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified electrician. All repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician.
Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never place it into the dishwasher.
Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
The speed switch has to be in off-position "0" and the appliance has to be unplugged from the power supply before cleaning the appliance, changing the accessories or when not in use. Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.
Never use accessories that are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.
Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way in order to avoid the appliance's fall.
Only use this appliance for cooking purposes.
This kind of appliance cannot function continuously; it is not a professional type of appliance. It is necessary to make temporary stops. Check the section « Important information » in the instruction manual.
It is absolutely necessary to keep this appliance clean at all times as it comes into direct contact with food. Check the section « Cleaning » in the instruction manual.
Attention: the blades of the stick attachment are very sharp, pay attention not to get cut when manipulating them (cleaning or change of the accessories).
Make sure the accessory is solidly and correctly tightened at the motor block before starting the appliance.
Make sure your hands and/or any kind of utensil stay clear of the receptacle when the appliance is in use in order to avoid serious injuries. Never touch the accessories when the appliance is in use. Furthermore, never try to stop the movement of the blade in any way whatsoever. Use the function OFF ("0") of the switch or unplug the appliance.
When mixing warm liquid, be particularly careful as a projection of warm liquid could cause serious burns.
The appliance is designed for the preparation of small quantities of food that have to be consumed rather quickly. It is not designed for the preparation of large quantities at once.
Attention: Never assemble several accessories simultaneously.
Competent qualified electrician: after-sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In case of need you should return the appliance to this electrician.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This appliance is not intended for professional use. You should follow the requested breaks. Failure to follow this instruction carefully may result in damage to the motor. The maximum operating time for beaters and dough hooks is 5 minutes, for the stick attachment the maximum operating time is 1 minute. The breaks should last at least 10 minutes.
USE OF THE BEATERS AND DOUGH HOOKS
With those accessories you can beat, knead and mix. It is recommended to make round movements or movements in the shape of an 8.
Make sure that the switch is in "0" position, and that the appliance is unplugged.
Insert the beaters/dough hooks under the body of the mixer and turn slightly until you hear a clicking sound.
- When mounting the hooks/beaters, watch the openings. Mount the hook/beater that has a gear in the opening with the star-shaped edge.
- Press the eject button on top of the mixer to release accessories.
MOUNTING OF THE MIXER ON THE BRACKET
Make sure that the speed switch is in "0" position and that the appliance is unplugged.
- Mount the hooks/beaters as explained in the previous paragraph.
- Hold the mixer parallel to the bracket and click the appliance into place on the bracket.
Press the release button of the bracket and place the bracket in vertical position.
- Place the bowl on the base.
- Press the release button of the bracket in order to put the bracket and the appliance back in horizontal position so that the accessories are immersed in the bowl.
You can now plug in the appliance and select a speed. The bowl will turn automatically.
- In order to remove the appliance from the bracket, press the release button of the bracket and tilt the bracket. Then press the release button of the appliance and lift the appliance. Press the eject button on top of the appliance in order to remove the accessories.
SPEED SETTINGS
Speeds: 0 OFF
1-2 Dry ingredients: butter, potatoes, and flour 2-3 Liquids. sauces. spices
3-4 Dough: cake, biscuits
4-5 Egg white, whipped cream
Your appliance is fitted with a turbo function which allows you to increase the speed of your appliance, whatever the speed (1 to 5). You only have to press the turbo switch and to maintain it. The turbo switches off when you release the button.
USE OF THE STICK ATTACHMENT
You can use this attachment to mix food like for example vegetables to prepare soups but also to mix liquids. This attachment is also suitable for preparing mayonnaise, dressing etc. It only has to be used in a vertical position with blades facing downwards.
- Place the switch to the position "0" and unplug the appliance.
Pay attention that the other accessories are to be removed from the appliance. - Open the valve on the bottom of the appliance. Then you will see the opening for the stick attachment.
- Place the stick attachment in the opening.
- Screw the stick attachment clockwise onto the thread in the opening of the motor block. Then pull lightly at the stick attachment to ensure that it is fully tightened onto the motor block.
Pour the ingredients into a receptacle and measure them out in such a way that you stay under the level at which splashes might occur! - Insert the plug into a power socket.
- Immerse the stick attachment in the ingredients before switching on the appliance. Doing this will avoid splashes when the motor is started.
In order to start the motor and mix, put the speed switch in position 1 and press the TURBO button, but remember not to use the appliance for more than 1 minute non-stop. Then the motor has to rest for 10 minutes.
To disassemble the stick attachment, switch off the appliance and unplug it. - Unscrew the stick attachment from the motor block by turning it anticlockwise.
CLEANING
Always unplug the appliance from the power supply before cleaning it.
- Remove the accessories before washing them in soapy water. Wipe the outside of the appliance only with a slightly moistened cloth, ensuring that no moisture enters the cooling slots. Do not use scouring pads for the plastic materials. Do not place them in the dishwasher.
Do not clean with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool, as this will damage the finish.
- Do not immerse the motor block in water or any other liquid.
