IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance, and always follow the safety and operating instructions. The appliance is equipped with a safety, which prevents the pouring jug from working if it is badly mounted. Furthermore, the pouring jug should be locked so that the appliance can work. Keep your hands outside the appliance when plugged in in order to avoid injuries. Do not insert any object while in use, not even for helping the mixing of food. Attention: the blades are sharp and therefore it is necessary to take particular precautions when using or cleaning. Always close the jug with the lid before starting to mix. When mixing hot liquid, you have to be very careful in order to avoid splashing of hot liquid, otherwise you can get burned. Do not forget to close the feeding hole of the pouring jug with the cap. Always close and hold the lid of the receptacle before starting to blend. In case the lid would come up during the mixing of hot preparations in particular (see “caution” on page 9), stop your appliance and take the lid off in order to release the built-up pressure. It is not designed for the preparation of large quantities at once. Do not touch the blades while the appliance is operating and do not try to block their movement in any way. Do not use the appliance without any food in it.

In case of need you should return the appliance to this electrician. IMPORTANT INFORMATION This appliance is not for professional use. You should follow the requested breaks. Failure to follow this instruction carefully may result in damage to the motor. Please refer to the rating label for the maximum continuous usage time (KB xx min where xx is the maximum usage time). The breaks should last at least 10 minutes. BE CAREFUL!

functioning of the appliance only when the jug and its lid are correctly placed on the motor base. If those conditions are met and the appliance does not start, call your after-sales service.

correctly, the appliance won't start. MOUNTING OF THE BLENDER AND USE (cf. p.3 & p.4) Put the pouring jug on the motor block and make sure the two arrows are facing each other, then turn in the direction of symbol until it stops. Remove the lid. To do so, press its release button and turn the lid anticlockwise. Then lift it. Fill the pouring jug with the chosen ingredients. Close the lid (proceed in the inverse order as compared to described above). Plug in the appliance. Choose the mixing speed with the switch on the motor base. Position 0 corresponds to stopping the appliance, position 1 to a slow speed and position 2 to a fast speed. The position "Pulse" is particular because the knob has to be held manually. If you release it, the appliance stops. This position is generally used to crush ice in order to avoid damages to the blades, but it can also be used to complete the mixing. It is also possible to add liquids or other ingredients anytime without stopping the appliance. You only have to remove the cap which closes the feeding opening by turning it and lifting it straight up. Once you have finished the preparation, stop the appliance (position 0) and unplug the appliance. Remove the jug from the base (turn the jug towards). Then remove the lid and pour the liquid into the desired receptacle. Caution: your appliance is not designed to mix hot preparations and the plastic bowl could break otherwise. If nevertheless you wish to prepare hot drinks or soups, let the whole cool down to a temperature lower than about 60°C (tepid preparation) before pouring it into the plastic bowl. Always unplug from outlet before cleaning. For a quick rinsing of the pouring jug (for example between two preparations), you can use clear water and switch on your appliance for a few seconds. In this case, do not use any detergent. For a full cleaning of the pouring jug, remove it from the motor block. Then you can clean it with soapy water and rinse thoroughly with clear water. Dry before assembling. Never put any part of the appliance in the dishwasher. You can wipe the motor block with a soft damp cloth.
