How to assemble the fan?

To assemble the Clatronic VL 3602 fan, start by unpacking all parts. Place the main tube into the base support. Attach the rear safety grill with the retaining ring. Then install the blade onto the motor shaft by aligning the guide pin and tighten the fixing screw. Hang the front safety grill onto the rear using the hook, then secure with the provided screws and nut. Use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the screws. Make sure all hooks are properly closed before use.

How to clean the fan?

Before cleaning, always unplug the power cord. Clean the exterior of the appliance with a dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water then wipe with a dry cloth. Never immerse the appliance in water and do not use aggressive or abrasive detergents. If you need to remove the safety grill, first turn off the appliance and unplug it.

How to adjust oscillation?

To activate oscillation, make sure the appliance is turned off, then press the control button on the housing. The fan automatically pivots over an arc of 90 degrees. To deactivate oscillation, turn off the appliance and push the control button upwards.

How to change speed?

Use the push-button switch on the front of the appliance. The positions are: 0 (off), 1 (low), 2 (medium) and 3 (high). Select the desired speed by pressing the switch.

Can the fan be used outdoors?

No, this fan is designed for indoor household use only. Do not use it outdoors. Protect it from heat, direct sunlight and humidity.

What to do if the fan does not work?

First check that the appliance is properly plugged in and that the power outlet works. Make sure the speed switch is not in position 0. If the problem persists, inspect the power cord for any damage. Do not repair the appliance yourself; contact a qualified technician or Clatronic after-sales service.

How to adjust the tilt of the fan?

Before turning on the appliance, hold the motor housing with both hands and gently tilt it to the desired position. It clicks into place. The maximum tilt angle is approximately 30 degrees. Caution: do not force beyond this limit.

The fan is noisy, what should I do?

Check that the appliance is placed on a flat, stable surface. Make sure the safety grills are properly attached and that the blade rotates freely without contact. If the noise persists, stop the appliance and unplug it. Inspect the screws and fasteners; tighten if necessary. If the problem continues, contact after-sales service.

Can I use an extension cord?

It is best to plug the fan directly into a wall outlet. If you must use an extension cord, ensure it is in good condition, of sufficient gauge (minimum 1.5 mm²) and suitable for the appliance's power (40 W). Avoid overloaded power strips.

Where can I find spare parts?

To obtain original spare parts (grill, blade, motor, etc.), contact Clatronic after-sales service or an authorized dealer. Only use original accessories to ensure safety and proper operation of the appliance.

General Notes

Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.

• The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.
• Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
• When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
• Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the device off. Remove the plug from the socket.
• The device and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the device must not be used.
• Use only original spare parts.
• In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

Special safety instructions

• Never stick fingers or other objects through the protection grid.
• Watch out for long hair! It can be caught in the fan owing to the air turbulence!
• Use the appliance only with the protection grids on!
• If you need to remove the fan guard, first switch off the appliance and disconnect the mains plug.
• Select a stable base to avoid the tipping of the fan during use!
• Do not place the device immediately next to stoves or other sources of heat.

• Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have a faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by a qualified person and with a cable of the same type.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Do not immerse the device into water for cleaning. Please follow the instructions as stipulated in the chapter “Cleaning”.

Unpacking the Device

1. Remove the device from its packaging.
2. Remove all of the packaging material such as foils, filling material, cable holders and cardboard packaging.
3. Check the scope of delivery.
4. Check the appliance for any transport damage to prevent a hazard.

i NOTE:

There may still be dust or production residues on the surface of the device. We recommend that you quickly wipe off the housing with a damp cloth.

Assembly instructions

The device must be completely assembled before initial operation!

i NOTE:

• You will need a Phillips screwdriver of medium size for the assembly.
• Screws not included with the accessories are pre-fitted on the individual parts.

• Also observe the "Overview of the Components" on page 3.

• Place the stand tube (6) in the base (8). Attach it on the bottom until it is snapped.

• Unscrew the mounting ring (11) in an anticlockwise direction. Keep it ready to hand.
• Position the rear protection grid (9) in place in accordance with the recesses.

i NOTE:

Please ensure that the carrying handle is facing upwards.

1. Turn the attachment ring (11) for the rear protection grid (9) slightly in a clockwise direction.
2. Attach the propeller. Note the position of the guide pin on the motor shaft.
3. Tighten the attachment screw (12) for the propeller in an anticlockwise direction.
4. Remove the preassembled fastening screw (13) and nut (10) from the wire mesh guard. Keep it ready to hand.
5. Hang the front protective guard (14) to the rear protective guard with the hook (1).

i NOTE:

Ensure that the holes for the attachment screw in the front and rear protective grille are aligned one above the other.

1. Secure the wire mesh guard with the fastening screw (13) and nut (10).

2. Close the attachment hooks.

Position

The ideal position is a non-slip, flat surface.

Putting into Service

Electrical Connection

• Before inserting the plug into the socket. Make sure that the mains voltage to be used matches that of the device. You can find this information on the nameplate.
• Connect the device to a duly installed protective contact socket.

Use

Basic Settings

Set the blower inclination angle before starting the device.

- Hold the motor housing with both hands and tilt it carefully to the desired position. It clicks audibly into place.

CAUTION:

The tilting angle is about 30 degrees.

Operation

To select the speed, use the pressure switch on the front:

0 off
1 slow
2 medium
3 fast

To shut off the device, select the position 0.

Fan setting

You have two options:

- Stationary

1. Shut off the device.
2. Pull the control knob upwards.
3. Use the carrying handle to place the device into the desired position.

- Oscillating

1. Shut off the device.
2. Press the control knob.

NOTE:

The device rotates automatically in the range of about 90 degrees.

1. To turn off the function, shut off the device and pull the control knob upwards.

Cleaning

WARNING:

• Always remove the mains plug before cleaning the device.
- If you need to remove the safety guard: Always switch the device off and remove the mains plug.
- Under no circumstances should you immerse the device in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fire.

CAUTION:

• Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.

• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.

• Clean the outside of the device with a dry cloth without any additives.

• If the device is very dirty wet a cloth with water and then wipe the device dry once you have finished.

Maintenance and storage

• Clean the appliance as described.
  • We recommend that the appliance is kept in its original packaging if you do not intend to use it for long periods.
  • Always store the appliance out of the reach of children, in a well-ventilated and dry place. Noise development
