Operating the appliance
GB
- Insert the plug into a 230 V, 50 Hz socket. The red control lamp lights up.
- Keep toasting surfaces closed during warm-up phase. Once the set temperature has been reached the red control lamp goes off and the green control lamp lights up.
- Open lid and lay sandwiches onto surface. Close lid gently. Fasten handles with the clip.
- The green control lamp goes off again after a few seconds.
- Toasting time depends on individual taste. A normal browning has been reached when the green control lights up again.
- Open the lid and remove the toasted sandwiches using a wooden spatula or similar. Do not use sharp or pointed objects, as they may damage the non-stick coating.
- The toasting surfaces should remain closed during intervals between toasting.
Tip: Spread the outside of the bread (the side that will be in contact with the toaster) lightly with butter or margarine. This makes it easier to remove the toasted sandwich from the toasting surface.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Remove the plug from the socket and leave to cool down.
• Brush crumbs or filling remnants from the toasting surfaces. - Clean the toaster with a damp cloth.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaning fluids.
